On a semi unrelated related note, I wonder how hard it would be to build your own midi controller. I have a midi keyboard, but unfortunately it doesn't have pitch or mod wheels. I wonder if I could make (or buy) some stand alone midi CC wheels/pedals/knobs for controlling random shit and shit.

damnit... looks like i'm the only person on Illidan now. I wish you guys would have said something earlier. I don't really feel like rerolling AGAIN on yet another server. I already have horde toons on smolderthorn (60), gorefiend (60) and illidan (34 as of now). I still say bloodscalp for alliance. What are you guys gonna do when the expansion comes though? Can we all agree to roll on one server, and stick with it?

damnit, i have a 60 tauren druid on gorefiend, but unfortunately, it's on a different account. zircon and tavernero rudd also played on gorefiend but im happy with illidan so far... if only rama would effing get 10 signatures already.

Oh man it's good playing a hunter again. I've taken all that I learned from my first hunter at end game, and applied it to levelling up. Knowing what you're doing makes such a HUGE difference. Example: After I hit lvl 30 and got my skills I headed to shimmering flats to do some questing. While I was out there, I noticed a couple of allies slinking around nearby (a 32 hunter and a 31 warrior). Sure enough, as soon as I engaged a mob in their general vicinity, they decided to attack me. So I feared the mob, put on aspect of the cheetah, and started running in the opposite direction. The hunter also put on aspect of the cheetah, and she and the warrior began chasing me ALL around the shimmering flats. However, she could never get close enough to hit me to daze me, because every time I saw her gain on me, I had my boar charge her. So I eventually get far enough out of range to get out of combat, and I drop a freezing trap. Bam, the warrior walks right into it. From here on out, it's all me. I put on aspect of the hawk, and went all out dps on the hunter. The warrior got out of my freeze trap and charged me, so I scatter shot him right in the face, and continued laying the smack down on the hunter until she died. So the warrior gets out of the disorientation, and tries to charge me again. Feign, Freeze trap. I put aspect of the cheetah back on, run just to the edge of my range, and begin kiting the warrior in circles. He never laid a hand on me. However by this time I was running severely low on mana, so my pet was pretty much doing all the damage and it took forever to kill the warrior. Long enough, in fact, for the hunter to run back to her corpse and resurrect and begin attacking me yet again. So I finish off the warrior, and turn back to the hunter, blow my remaining mana on rapid fire, and kill her for the second time. Suzumebachi 3, Alliance Gankers 0. Seriously, those two must have been hella embarassed, because I came back like 3 hours later and their corpses were still there.

but entirely possible. every song i made up until like 2005 was done by manually entering notes by mouse (with the exception of guitar of course). however i have a keyboard now, and it definitely comes in handy (especially for tracking).

jesus christ my guitar would have a shit if I tuned it like that. floating trem is not so good for the alternate tunings. also... are the two consecutive A's in the same octave? that's a little... weird.

FL's included synths are musical blasphemy and will pretty much get you instant rejected. It's not that they're bad in themselves, but that there's been 6 trillion songs made with them, and they sound the same 99% of the time (and can be spotted a mile away). There's only so much one can do with 3 crappy oscillators and an ADSR envelope.

geez. i can't possibly imagine downloading 300 VSTis on 56k. though i imagine you probably bought some of them, but still. that's a lot of musical voodoo my friend.

OK, this probably sounds like an unusual problem to have for some of you but... I have way too god damn many VSTi's. I have spent a couple of weeks downloading nearly every free VSTi in existence. But I think all it's done is cramp my style. I have so much crap now, I don't even know where to begin when deciding I want to add a new synth or something. Hell I don't even know what half these damn things do. It's pure chaos. Mass confusion. So basically, do any of you guys have any tips on organizing synths and shit, so that my head doesn't explode the next time I open FLStudio? Seriously, I thought having 120+ VSTis would be a good idea and allow more creative freedom. I was wrong.

aye, i'm usually at 20ms+ when i've got a lot of shit going on. however when guitaring/pianoing i can reduce it to <4ms so long as that's all i'm doing.

I think it'd be best to pick from Gorefiend, Smolderthorn, or Illidan. We could even pick two, and like, roll alliance on one, and horde on the other.

oh ok. cuz for a second there I was about to use a sampled piano in a song I was working on here. thank heavens you posted!!!! now instead, I can record an 80 year old quadraplegic wrapped in celophane farting into a phonograph with a tape recorder on the other side. and use it in my song. it'll be great. thanks mairuzu! you have shown me the light. because god forbid i don't have a $30,000 grand piano and a $50,000 studio to record it in, and lord knows a soundfont might not give an accurate representation!

Can you elaborate on that? Never heard anything like that. have you checked the recently released Burning Crusade requirements? they specifically state BROADBAND ONLY.

Alright I'm done for good. WoW can lick my fucking balls. Two reasons: a) Burning Crusade ain't coming out till at least January 23rd. Burning Crusade (and WoW after the expansion is applied) is no longer 56k friendly. Fuck you blizzard.
