i don't think paladins are as weak as you say they are. agreed they can't dish out the damage like a warrior, but they aren't meant to. instead, they're a bitch to kill. way, way harder than a warrior. i think hunters are worse off in PvP than paladins anyways. we're stuck with shit armor, our pets are absolutely useless in pvp, traps are pointless, our DPS is shit, and we run out of mana in under 20 seconds. i just made level 30.. and what skill do i get? wow, i can pretend to be dead. that's really fucking cool. for about 3 seconds.

the reason there's no horde/alliance interaction is you're not playing on a PvP server. I play as horde on smolderthorn (PvP) and there's CONSTANT interaction. especially once you reach around level 20 and start going into contested and even enemy territories. sometimes it gets to be a pain, as if you want to level in certain areas (like hillsbrad, which is always full of alliance jerks on my server) you'll need some higher level backup. or at least you'll need to travel in numbers for safety. but nothing's gonna save your ass from a pack of 15 level 60s on their mounts chasing you through heavy mob territory. it can be fun though. i made scout in 1 day just from helping defend tarren mill from the alliance... dear god though, alliance's organizational skills suck. for example, they have maybe 20 guys, all level 55+, raiding tarren mill... of course they don't all attack at the same time. that would make sense. instead they come in waves of 2 or 3 at a time, making them easy to pick off, even for the lowbies in the area. some shaman will just start stomping totems, and all the gaurds and lowbies will rush to the area and start pounding them, leaving them no chance for escape. out of maybe 15 raid attempts in one night, they managed to kill the bat handler 1 time, which is on the very outskirts of town anyways. and.. i digress. anyways, WoW is great fun. if you want real interactivity, play on a PvP server. if anyone wants to play with me, look for Chuckster (Tauren Hunter) on Smolderthorn. also, you can start doing BGs at level 21. warsong is hella fun. after reading some of the comments above about BG: you know, it must be a server thing, because there's always enough people to play AV and WSG on my server. and it's low population. horde win 7 out of 10 times though. shamans = teh win. except.. (here goes another rant) those damn night elf rogues are EVIL. i mean, a dwarf or gnome sneaks up behind me, i just stomp and they're boned. but the damn night elves you can't even see until they've already freaking stabbed you. and then you're at half health. and then they gouge you and run away. argh so frustrating. but it's all good. i have my war stomp, they have their shadowcrud. ..war stomp is a really awesome innate ability. it's saved my ass on more than a few occassions, and makes dueling ten times more fun. most hunters suck at duels, but i think i've got it down. the trick is to keep the enemy immobile or slow. this may not matter so much against warlocks or mages, but against warriors, shamans, rogues, etc, they're screwed. god damnit i'm ranting like mad here.. but anyways.. a quick guide to dueling with a hunter: you should start off by laying a trap if you can, probably either freeze or immolation. then hit them with a sting right away. sic your pet on them, run in, wing clip, run past them, turn around, concuss them, shoot them a few times, wash, rinse, repeat. if you do it right, they should never even get close enough to attack you until you run in to wing clip them again. ..i need to stop typing.

OCR01338 - Mega Man Zero 2 "Cool Mind"

you know, it's been a long time since i actually sat down and wrote a review. but i felt this song truly deserved one because of the POTENTIAL for greatness. let me start by saying that the arrangement here is awesome. one would expect a decent arrangement from one of OCR's esteemed judges, but the work here stands above and beyond. the pad used in the beginning is quite beautiful, and creates a nice light suspenseful feeling. some nice subdued piano with delay adds greatly as well. in fact, everything seems very well placed. the percussion seems far too subdued however. i keep waiting for the percussion to start kicking ass and it never does. also, the dropout at 0:55 and the repetition of the motif at 1:14 were unnecessary and seemed like they were there only to add to the final length. the percussion starting at 1:07 was FAR too quiet, and seemed to just be there as minimal filler. you should have raised the volume. and if you had it so low so as not to detract from the orchestration/arrangement, then you should have used some other method to keep focus away from it, or done away with it entirely. for some strange reason my brain does not like having the drums so low in the mix. it's like WHY FOR PERCUSSION SO QUIET. and on that note, the overall volume of this mix is way too low. and there needed to be much more low to mid-range on the EQ as well. i can't hear any bass at all. at 2:04 we get another drop out, followed by a change in exposition. here things start to pick up the pace a bit. but yet again, the percussion is lacking severely. however, the usage of the choir here is very adept, and accents the progression nicely. some synth stabs are used in here as well to decent effect. at 3:11 there is again yet another dropout. at 3:35 we return to the main theme once again. at 3:58 an attempt at spicing up the percussion is made, which only lasts 8 measures, is contrived, too quiet, and muddled in the EQ. it drops back into the subdued percussion once again until 4:45 where the song sets into conclusion mode and heads on out to the end. i must add that the ending here is well conceived. so overall.. i would say though the arrangement and instrumentation here is CHOICE, the song is about 2 minutes too long, and is lacking in both the percussion and mixing departments. -
OCR00973 - Chrono Trigger "Forever"

i no longer use the samuraihornet@yahoo.com address. it got far too overloaded with spam. i tried telling djp to update it, but he's a busy guy. and when he's not busy, he's drunk. but it's all good. anyways, like Antelucan said, the original song is 'the day the world revived'. it's track 6 on the 2nd disc of the OSV. it's also in the rsn available here on OCR. not sure which track it is though, but probably something like 30, or 2-6 (i don't recall how they are ordered in the rsn). if you don't know how to play the rsn, there's a list of programs/plugins available here. hope this helps! thanks a bunch guys. ps: my current e-mail is suzumebachi@gmail.com -
seconded. i too would like to know of some good mags, especially some that come with samples and crud.

OCRA-0003 - Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Hedgehog Heaven
suzumebachi replied to ProjectSpam's topic in Album Reviews & Comments
is anyone else having problems with the torrent? i've got 72MB downloaded, but only 40MB is actually being counted towards the total because of a seemingly endless number of bad hashes on pieces that then have to be re-downloaded. i think someone's got a bad seed. -
trenthian.......................................

I think KiC was the last show I got to listen to. Probably because it was the last show that actually worked. And larry needs to start using ogg instead of mp3 for the show archives. also: a.) when are we gonna do the RoFL show, and b.) when are you gonna fix the stream?

in case you haven't noticed by now, i was being sarcastic. -
ok. finally finished uploading the wav master of my song. jesus that took forever. i rar'd it though, which shrunk it from 33mb down to 22mb. that helped quite a bit. now we wait for trenthian.
