  1. Those moans add such a nice musical flair - they back up the luscious sax so beautifully, they make me want to moan exquisitely as well.
  2. proto's sax is just too sexy Definitely getting some major Kenny G vibes, which isn't a bad thing. Solid background as well, keeping the original wistful tone of the source while adding in a little more variation.
  3. The saxes sound a bit weird, but the solos make up for it. I really like the fusing of the saxes and more rock-y instruments, like the guitar and the drums. The source is very fitting for a Christmas album, and it's adapted very well. Pretty cool (ha) mix!
  4. Gusty Garden is one of my favorite sources of all time, smg music is just so good :O. Converting it to solo piano was a good choice, giving the mix a more delicate, beautiful feel. I liked the jazz variation at 2:15, gives a bit more variety. I need to learn to play piano better to play this piece
  5. Grats on the mixpost! This mix has a super relaxing, chill feel to it that actually suits the holiday season really well, sorta giving a sense of magic and warmth. The ocean waves were a little out of place in context of the season, but they fit really well with the mix itself. The guitar enters in a bit heavily, but after that it fit well, except for a couple rough transitions. Overall, this track felt consistently fresh and made the 4 minutes feel a lot shorter than they actually were
  6. I really love the direction djp and Vig took with this track, creating a smooth, sultry feel. The cello and guitar make for interesting sounds in a jazzy track, while the keyboards provided some good in-between material. I also like the drums; there's a lot going on there, especially in parts like 2:52. Awesome mix!
  7. This mix is so chippy and upbeat, and really showcases what Insert Rupee can do. It's very bright and bubbly, and those added pokemon cries are a nice touch as well. Overall, a great track that works well as an antidepressant
  8. I really love the calm, soothing vibe created with the guitar and that flute thingamajigger. This mix just has such a peaceful, relaxing mood that really does seem perfect for just chilling on the sea.
  9. Holy moly, those drums are going crazy. The production is on point, letting the melody stand out bright and strong while the drums do their own thing. The trancelike melody doesn't seem to fit quite well with the intenseish background, but the arrangement is more than solid enough to make up for that. this is some sexy af stuff
  10. Man, this is some amazing stuff. I really love the variations on the sources, even if they are occasionally hard to hear, and the lyrics are just SO CLEVER. MC Sigma flows super well also and the beat is insanely catchy. This is some great stuff, and I'm definitely looking forward for what's to come.
  11. This song is so chill. I really like how the calm, relaxing, accomplishment-victory feel of the source is replaced by more of a chillax vibe going on here. The lead synth is really well written, and the song is mastered really well, creating a full, lush soundscape. Really like what you did with this, especially that solo-ish part at 3:47. Great work!
  12. Oh man, I LOVE that guitar. Smooth af. This is a super creative arrangement, and I really like the chill atmosphere that's somehow created even with that ridiculously sexy electric guitar. This is like a 4 min long really good guitar solo
  13. I really like the drastic change from the source, but I think that it works quite well. Definitely a great listen. The monkey noises are p cool too
  14. This really feels like a score from a film, being spooky-scary at some points, intense and majestic at others, and always feeling like something's happening or is going to happen soon. This is a mix that really feels like it's telling a story
  15. Man, these collaborations with DJ Mystix and Claire Yaxley working together have become some of my favorite mixes, and this one is no exception. The thunder sounds at the beginning really help to set the dark, foreboding mood, and once Claire's beautiful voice comes in, you know it's going to be a great song. DJ Mystix's ability to weave multiple songs into a single mix never ceases to amaze me, creating a lush, full background for Claire's vocals. This is another beautiful piece by DJ Mystix and Claire, as well as adding Chris Amaterasu on this time. Looking forward to what's next!
  16. I'm a big fan of jazz, so this song is absolutely amazing imo. The production quality is top notch even if the instruments weren't played together, and the melody is very creatively written and modified from the source. I especially love the part from 1:15 to 1:31 - it really has a chill, jazzy feel to it, sorta like the rest of the song lol Can't wait for more stuff from the OC Jazz Collective; this was a really, really awesome first mix.
  17. It's incredible how well DJ Mystix makes the multiple tracks flow together so well. If I didn't know better, I would have thought that it was originally composed like this. His amazing medley making skills combined with Claire's incredible voice and lyrics from two songs that somehow fit together well make a haunting, touching, and beautiful mix.
  18. The vocals are a little nasally, but that's not entirely a bad thing. I have to agree that Stevo's voice definitely sounds better with the backing vocals, though. As for the track itself, I'm legitimately amazed at how well lyrics fit in with Rainbow Road; this track honestly sounds like something you could come across on the radio and be like "that's my new favorite song."
  19. The nature-y feel of this track, combined with the calmness of the source, combined with halc's signature chippy style, all come together to make just a really great mix. The bird noises make me feel like I'm watching a documentary (good thing). Leafeon is my favorite pokemon too <3
  20. Oh man, this is sexy af. The time signature makes it feel so weird, yet so smooth, and it flows so well. That melody is just too groovy. This song taught me how to count 7/8 too
  21. I really love this take on the source; it really has an upbeat, jazzy, chill feel to it. Not sure if I would call it psychic, but I guess it comes pretty close..? I especially love the part from 1:06 to 1:28 that really cements the feel for me. The Eevee EP is one of my fav OCR albums, and this is a gr8 track from it
  22. I really love how this mix seems to tell a story, with the distorted noises and the dramatic spoopy "its a me" thing. This seems like it could be used for a scary film lol
  23. Love the solos and the various variations on the melody. They really make the track feel fresh and entertaining all throughout the entire nearly 5 minutes.
  24. The source tune of this remix is one of my favorite VGM songs of all time, so I guess its natural that I love this too. Like, the instant the intro cuts out and everything else comes in at 1:03, you know that things are about to go down. I really like the higher intensity/energy take on the source, and how it goes even faster if that's possible. this is like musical red bull
  25. I'm a pretty big fan of Metal Gear and Snake Eater, but oh man; this song made me love it so much more. The mix itself is great, but Claire's vocals - the amount of energy, vitality, and just beauty in her voice is just amazing.
