Oh that is really disappointing I'm still working on my track! I took a break after I hit a wall with the arrangement, but I've been slowly making progress. I think the majority of the arrangement is finished, just trying to smooth some transitions and figure how I'm ending it. This is always the longest part in my process, once the arrangement is final, everything else comes together pretty quickly!

I am so in! Golden Sun is one of my favourite soundtracks. My issue is trying to decide which track to choose from because they are all so good! Saturos and Menardi, Magma Rock, and Kolima Forest are probably ones I am most interested in. I play electric guitar(pretty much just rhythm stuff) and would be willing to record some stuff for others too if need be(if they can't find someone better)

Whilst they never recorded a proper version(as far as I know), the NESkimos did a great live medley of SMB3 in two parts. Here's a link to part one.

So sorry to hear about your loss, Nika. I completely understand as I've lost someone recently too... I hope things get better for you, and I hope you have a reliable network of close friends and family to help you through. I'm also sorry that I haven't had any updates for a while, I'm still trying to get myself back on track. Pun intended.

I loved Hybrid Heaven, such an interesting game. I'd forgotten the soundtrack wasn't too back either.

You know, there has been a couple of times where I've been thinking about this song and suddenly find myself thinking about the SMB Castle theme, but I thought I was just weird. Maybe there is something there after all... I do like the idea of using the jingle as a transition to Wart's if I go that route, and yeah I don't think I'd do it if it doesn't sound natural. Seems lazy to just paste it on the end. Thanks, dude

Yeah, that's pretty fair. I kind of leant right into the repetitiveness of the original but I thought maybe the rhythm variations might make up for that. That said, the drums are still very copy/paste so there's probably a tonne I can do there as well. I think your suggestions are great and I'll definitely try and work on that, cheers.

It's pretty simple so I thought I'd do a quick and dirty record of the guitars, but I'm not sure where to go with it from here. Maybe thinking of transitioning into Wart's theme or just ending it with a end level jingle but I'm not sure.

Looks like I got all my work done just in time, can finally get the last parts of my newer WIP done in time for the deadline.

I meant like, rhythm or lead guitar, what kind of sound like distorted etc. If it's some simple distorted rhythm guitar stuff you want and you can't find anyone better, I am probably available.

What kind of electric guitar are you looking for?

I'm pretty close to finalising my arrangement, and hopefully I'll have something not completely horrible to show very soon. I don't anticipate any problems meeting the next check-in since after tomorrow I'll finally have a large chunk of free time for the first time this year! It sucks about the Andross thing, I was interested in the idea of a big collab but didn't want to commit until I had something more substantial with Sector Z. I was listening to the WIPs last night and I'm still really impressed, inspires me to pick up my game a bit more, great work so far, guys.

I'll have something more substantial soon, just waiting for it to cool down a bit around here so I get less noise and feedback from my ceiling fan and a/c when recording

I moved house recently so I'm still trying to find and get my recording stuff setup, I'll definitely have it sorted before the deadline, but I can upload a small section in midi over the next couple of days if you need. Still very much in the ideas and writing phase.

That was great, man. I wasn't digging your guitar tone at the start but I got over it, the rest of the song sounded really good.
