  1. I would love to see Hybrid Heaven's Battle Theme (Fight!) and Boss Theme (Fight Hard!) to be remixed, simply because there is no remixes or remakes of Hybrid Heaven anywhere on Youtube that i can find. Literally. This game is one of those forgotten gems that were created on the N64, when it was at the end of its development. If i had to choose one of the two, i would definitely go with the Boss Theme (Fight Hard!). The build up is too good to leave out! Sadly though, the last segment of that specific song doesn't play twice before looping over again. It's pretty much everyone else's favorite part as well. lol, PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN! <3 P.S. The Battle Theme (Fight!) is also good, but like i said, if i had to choose between the 2, it'd be the Boss Theme (Fight Hard!) instead. Feel free to merge them together if you'd like. Both songs are linked below. Here's a Youtube link for the Boss Theme (Fight Hard!). And here's a Youtube link of an Orchestral Remix Demo that someone actually created for the build up part, just to give you an idea of how it could sound when fully remixed. As for the type of style/genre that would probably work well for this song?... Possibly more epic, upbeat, atmospheric, orchestral, etc. types! Kind of like a modern take, since the N64 had audio limitations. I wanna feel badass, with a sense of urgency when fighting a big boss in-game. Feel free to implement the Battle Theme (Fight!) as well. It has a dark/serious tone to it, which i really love.
  2. I'm working toward making a good enough demo track collection to pitch myself as a composer to indie game dev teams, and I'd love your feedback! I want to specialize in 2D "non-realistic" games (JRPG, Puzzle, Sci-Fi, etc.), so right now I'm putting together a few battle themes. Here's the first one, where I was going for a "regular encounter" theme that would fit in a game similar to Final Fantasy 5 or Golden Sun. It would mean a lot to me if you take a listen and drop a comment or a critique to help me know where I'm at and what I need to work on! Uncompressed MP3 Link
  3. I always admired the musical style of Hans Zimmers in the Dark Knight trilogy so I decided to try and recreate one of my favorite game soundtracks in a similar style. A buddy of mine has this synth in his DAW called Zebra which is the same synth that Zimmer used when working on those movies, there's even a preset pack that Zimmer released called "Dark Zebra" which has some of the actual sounds from the films, that's what I used to create most of this track. I picked the battle theme from FF7 because it worked well with the dark tones of the Zebra synth, mixing something like this while also trying to stay true to both the original song and emulate Zimmers style is really difficult, it's basically all bass so sound separation was a nightmare, not to mention sound selection. I'm really happy with the end result and I hope you guys like it as well, this was a lot of work and more than a few called in favors.
  4. I'm steadily working on a remix of the Battle Theme ("Those Who Fight") from Final Fantasy 7. It's my ambition to create a modern version of this theme - but without leaving those elements which make this track so interesting and memorable. So, I decided to keep those orchestral elements from the original theme of the game Final Fantasy 7 and combine it with the punchier and more powerful electronic elements of this theme in the amazing spin-off Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 and add some driving rock elements. 6. Hello, Here I am to present to you my new piece "Heat of Battle", a theme I hope is fitting for some oldschool RPG monster slaying ! Its not yet where I want it to be mixing-wise, as im pretty much learning the ropes, and I hope i can receive some advice from you guys to improve myself. In advance, thank you ! Here we go:
  7. Hey everyone, I recently decided to try to mash two Final Fantasy songs into one, cause I just thought it might end up cool. I'd be happy to hear any thoughts or feedback on it.
  8. Thanks to @classic_gamer_76 for bringing this old song back and doing some re-arrangements!
  9. Source video first then remix video. Do y'all think this could be OCR worthy? Is it interpretive enough? I used the chiptune because I was aiming for nostalgia.
