  1. This is my first extended project with FT and comprises 16 tracks designed to be the soundtrack to an Ys-style adventure game. As such I basically tried to cram as many catchy melodies as possible into each track, and I'm pretty excited about the result. Enjoy! http://honinmyoaudio.bandcamp.com/ Thanks for listening, -Tom
  2. Yeah, you know what, this isn't gonna happen for me. I tried several times, but I'm not really up for it as much as I thought I was. </lame guy>
  3. Wow, nobody's claimed Battle #2, one of my favorite SNES tracks of all time? I'll try something with it, I'll get a WIP up as soon as I can, probably in the next couple days.
  4. Well, if it's still open I'm gonna claim Hailfire Peaks. I haven't really done stuff for OCR before, but I have some samples here: http://soundcloud.com/tomato-miller
  5. This is the fourth version of this that I've listened to, and any of them are better than most of the mixes I've heard. The vocals are a bit more effected this time around, which I could live without, but I really dig the new synth backgrounds and countermelodies. Whatever, it's a classic of the ReMiXiNg world.

That was my first attempt at doing an a cappella remix and I admit it sucks. Funny to look back on, though. I've actually always wanted to go back and mix another track from it (maybe Akrillic) but I never really had any ideas that would work for it. The songs already feel complete, y'know?
  7. Holy crap, I forgot all about this until I saw Pocketman's sig on OLR just now. I did make a WIP way back when, though it's only 1:22 as of now. http://www.sendspace.com/file/meiftm
  8. Thanks for the reply, I haven't gotten Vienna set up on this computer, so I'll do that now.
  9. Hey, I have a SB Live! 24-bit sound card and I'm using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9. I'm trying to get into soundfonts, but for some reason, most of the time I attach a drum bank it won't show up in the list of soundbanks available. It doesn't seem like it changes anything when I switch to channel 10, or mess around with various track settings. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks
  10. Yeah, those were written for a GBA soundtrack, so naturally the sound quality was a bit on the low side. I'll try to keep it as professional sounding as I can, but I'm really into tracking right now, so I think I'll use that for my arrangement. EDIT: got a bit of WIPiness put together. I'd like to get some juicy brass samples for the break at :13. I'm going for a funk arrangement with some oldschool chip samples. Of course, this isn't very far along. Immediately after this I want to drop the volume down further before I have the melody come in (maybe played by a triangle wave?) And I know, the percussion sounds really robotic right now except for the beatboxing, I will fix it eventually. EDIT 2: got the first section of melody done. This is getting chippier and chippier as it goes on, but I like where it's headed. (link removed)
  11. I would like to contribute to this project. I've never contributed to an OCR project, but I've done a lot of original work and I can send you some demo stuff if you'd like. I think I'd like to take Dive Man, if leepmeister didn't take it. If he did I'll go with Wily 3 and 4.
  12. Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to still take Taking Over The Halberd. I'd like to try doing something with it, as it is one of my favorite Kirby songs ever.
  13. After listening to the Mobgoblin remix many times I had to dig up the original. Classic. You know this kind of thing would get an instant rejection nowadays, but it is really one of the best OCRs I've ever heard. I guess that's why I tend to hang at OverLooked .
