  1. Thank you, house! I will be sure to buy you a drink to show my gratitude for your incredible song and your pimpage of the project!
  2. You have to take into account that KFC is black, so it's a good thing.
  3. I blame his spelling errors on Wisconsin. OMG REMIX LIST: Some FF7 things Some Tales of Phantasia things Some Sonic 3 and Knuckles things
  4. Colorbling? EDIT: Colorbling? What the fuck am I on?
  5. Keep in mind that Vai and Sach are playing through rigs you will never even come close to seeing with your own eyes. Also, a big part of their sound is that they're Steve Vai and Joe Satriani (and they overdub each guitar section like, 8 times). But yeah, I'd like some quick sixto recordings.
  6. Active pickups really piss me off, I prefer to use passive pickups with active/passive electronics. That way you can plug any pickup into your guitar and get all the benefits of active pickups plus active EQ PLUS being able to use them in their normal passive state if your battery runs out or you just feel like it. DiMarzio's are great, but I've always been partial to Duncans. In reality, all pickups are the same after a certain point of quality, it's just a matter of picking one that is tuned to the frequencies and output that you want, that's when you start to notice things that would lead you to prefer one manufacturer over another.
  7. I like the project site even better than the teaser site. Sleek black... it's so functional and sexy. I feel like paying Hadyn for his work.
  8. Dennis will never leave Canada. He's too busy saying "Eh?" and enjoying free healthcare.
  9. To heck with that newfangled shit.
  10. Yeah, I use Cubase exclusively now, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
  11. Well, what I would do is just use an equilizer to isolate the range 250-4k (or whatever sounds best to you). Then either create some noise by recording an empty room and accentuating the noise using a noise gate (they make that "Keep only the noise" option for this reason), add EQ to that to bring out any pops or hissing you like, and paste the two together. Some synths also have a noise patch, which will emulate either old radio noise or old vinyl record noise.
  12. My favorite pickups are the M22SD and C22T by Carvin. Too bad they only fit Carvin guitars (as far as I know). Other than that, I'd go with the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded set, the give you the overall best sound for any style of music involving electric guitar (especially if you have a coil tap switch installed).
  13. So Marcos, do you FINALLY like my bass drum?!
  14. On an unrelated note, my feelings go out to Blueberry, who's team just lost the world cup... ITALIA!! WORLD FUCKING CHAMPIONS!!!! !
  15. That was the first demo of Doomsday I did a year ago. The song was finished, but the big crash I had ruined the project file (along with all my other projects). The version I am finishing now is simpler, but more fun to play
  16. That teaser site will be getting updated with new demos and bonus tracks on a regular basis till the release! Keep checking back!
  17. Hah, I win! >) And yeah, now it's time to ditch the pickups and get good ones!
  18. The songs are being encoded on max quality variable bitrate. This results in the songs being twice the size they would be using 128kbps. I will not use 128kbps because it sounds like a giraffe ejaculating in my ear. If I find someone encoding the songs from the project in 128kbps and distributing them, I will track them down and fuck their dog.
  19. Make your music sound good to you. Most people will ruin it with Winamps EQ anyway. The ones that dont EQ it and have a decent setup, will destroy your song for too much bass, lack of mids, a horse penis at 2:47 and whatever else. Take all the advice you've gotten, find the average of the comments, apply that to your mixing style.
  20. That's all to be decided later on. Right now it doesnt really matter.
  21. Well, it's also a matter of the saddles being cheap and wearing down the strings, and the nut not being able to properly lock, or the fine tuners to be slowly giving way, or the cheap saddles simply not being able to cradle the strings properly so they move around.
  22. I actually own one of these! I found it at my girlfriends dads house about 6 years ago. It's actually quite a solid guitar, I still use it from time to time when I go to visit there. The pickups and electronics are complete crap, but with some adjustments the guitar can become a decent player. Still, I wouldn't recommend one. OHHH, SITAR!.... see it's 4am and I just woke up to take a massive shit, I thought that said GUITAR. Nevermind.
  23. Hah, can't go wrong with Logic from what I hear. I've never used it so I can't give you an opinion on it, but on paper it seems extremely versetile. Just always remember that it's your job to make good music, the software and everything else are just tools. Better tools will make it a little easier, but you still need a good idea of what to do (and if not, the attitude to want to learn all you can about what you're using before you really start).
