This thread has pretty much run its course and I have been vindicated.

Not live, but... Every once in a while (say, once in every 6 hours of recording) my VSTs will all drop and my DAW will say "VSTs blah blah blah, critical error". It kind of sucks, but I save every 10 minutes so it's not a HUGE deal because I rarely lose any progress at all.

As someone who plays instruments and remixes, I'm not nearly as impressed with this as other people seem to be. Just seems extremely limited, despite all of the options available.

You know what, fuck Star Wars, I'm done with this shit. Last good movie was Empire anyway. It's clear now that the Star Wars-verse has dramatically shifted focus in who its intended audience is (from The 12-21 year old demo of the originals to the 3-12 year old demo of the new stuff). Just like Sonic, I am no longer apart of the target audience for Star Wars, and I'm not gonna waste my time with it anymore.

Because the SNES version is half finished? It's missing tons of levels, the gameplay is slower and less smooth. The only thing better is the soundtrack.

Do yourself a favor, get rid of the SNES version of Aladdin. It is garbage. Pure, complete, and total garbage. Aladdin is one of the very rare circumstances in which the Genesis is not just better than the SNES version, but it blows it completely out of the water. It's just NO competition. It's appalling how bad the SNES version is.

Dude, I know people who are still remixing on 800MHz processors with 512MB of RAM, and use tons of tracks. It all comes down to the VSTs.

Funny aside: when DKC1 first came out, GamePro ran a contest to see who could get the highest percentage by some specific time. You had to take a picture of yourself next to the TV displaying the score; I did so with a 96% or 98%. I was about ten at the time, and I won a Super Nintendo GameGenie from doing that. I might've even been in the magazine, I don't know. I never actually got the issue with the results.

Protip: Don't bother with the preprogrammed settings (if there are any in the toneport). I can guarantee you that they are all 100% complete and total crap. Every Line6 user knows this. Also, the Line6 tone exchange is about 90% crap, to get the good stuff you have to hit google and search for specific patches/sounds, engineer them yourself, or visit guitar forums that have specific forums dedicated to this stuff.
