  1. can't an ocremix.org domain be redirected to whatever domain they purchased?
  2. What is the point in even saying something like that? If you didn't like it, fine. But to come in here an insult us? Great people skills, buddy.
  3. I'll be writing up reviews for each track on the album barring my own when I get some time. But for now let me say the whole album is pretty darn good. There are some tracks that will receive less than kind reviews from me, mainly for straying so far from the original, but those are the breaks. But I will say my favourite 5 tracks on this are (in a sort of order): Infiltrator Leaning Tower of Babel Chemical Imps Hangarmageddon Darkness Dawning Reviews for later though.
  4. These guys at doomworld were seriously annoying me, so I had to register and reply: http://www.doomworld.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=556405#post556405
  5. Thanks for the feedback, Red 5. Hangarmageddon uses real guitar recorded by Evilhorde, yes. And you most likely won't get flamed in here unless it's in jest. But I recommend heading to tech help & newbies where there's an intro thread you can post in to say hi to everyone.
  6. I've finished printing and burning my album out: Very nice artwork Claude, though I had to edit myself some CD images. Edit: http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/3659/claudecoverartcd4cm.jpg for the CD cover, I just used Claude's front cover and added the text around the edge.
  7. Wow, our first hatemail: I suggested that we could take the new car and drive it into him instead.
  8. That's pretty much what I got from your piece too. The seduction of the dark side. Hell lures you in only to stab you in the back.
  9. The size comes from the lossless flac files. If you're not fussy about having absolutely top-notch music, then deselect the flac files and just download the mp3's. It'll be much quicker and free up some bandwidth for other torrent users.
  10. This is amazing stuff from Danny B. You're either going to love this or hate it. But either way you can't argue against how well it's produced. This is probably the first piece of music I've listened to that could be classified under the "Horror" genre. Sharp and clear drum work in this that ensures that the softest tap is just as clear as the incredibly loud BANG that follows it. The original theme is arranged well in this piece too. The original was melodic and slow, with a definate pace to each long drawn out string-note to give it a quiet and eerie dark feel. However in this remix the notes are sharp and have their own timing to give them a completely different sound. The actual progression is the same for most sections, but the way it's arranged is unique enough that one would be excused for mistaking it as a totally original composition. The piano in this piece is well done too, playing the key notes in the background that made e1m5 memorable. When listening to this, it gave off that alien-vibe that the original did and sent a chill down my spine. The piece eventually leads into a quieter and much more atmospheric section, with the bass still jabbing away as it fades out. The piano then comes in and plays what I find very reminiscent of Rob D's Clubbed to Death song (which is similar to E1M5 anyway.) The strings come in as a backing, and it's a very fitting transition. I won't spoil the end, but don't stop the piece too soon, or you'll miss out. Great work Danny B. A very fitting homage to the doom soundtrack and a perfect opener for The Dark Side of Phobos Album Release.
  11. I haven't emailed planetdoom, so if someone wants to do that, feel free. make sure to link to the doom.ocremix.org site. The media page should be working now. The refresh mechanism in the page was refreshing back to an older version of the page, so it should work shortly.
  12. I uploaded Karl and my Collab to VGMix for anyone interested in reviewing it there: http://www.vgmix.com/song_view.php?song_id=4695 Also we have this topic started on New Doom: http://forums.newdoom.com/showthread.php?t=28261 I've posted news around on other doom sites, but still waiting for it to be posted up.
  13. I could do some. What would you want in them? like, today? Yes.. I can't make some until I know what you'd want me to put in them. As in, what text and such.
  14. I could do some. What would you want in them?
  15. I'm having a listen now. I was expecting a deeper voice from you Myth. If you don't say "I pity the foo'" at some time in this interview I'll be disappointed. Edit: Ah Myth, just out of interest, this is the whole soundtrack, including the rock covers.
  16. That's true. This track is actually miles better than the original too. The overworld music for FFVIII was sub-interesting. It did the job, but it was boring, unlike the music for 7 and 9's overworld. This would have been a better replacement. It's not too often I think that for remixes from the playstation final fantasy games.
  17. Out of interest, what does this have to do with Doom? Is it just the names of the tracks or is there something else I'm missing.
  18. it's 1:29 pm here. By the time it's released it'll be Tuesday on this side of the world. The release date is misleading.
  19. True art. For some reason that reminds me of that part in Futurama where Flexo and Bender are fighting. Bender: I'm the real bender! Flexo: No, I'm the real bender! Leela: I don't know which one to shoot! Fry: Flexo! Shoot Flexo! Leela: ...
  20. Wow, we jumped around a little bit too. And Sly, the music technically belongs to the level in which you hear it first. E2M9 is a bonus level so most people wouldn't reach it, however it does come before E3M1 in order, so the music would belong to E2M9.
  21. Richter isn't mirroring... SPEAKING OF SOMEONE I SHOULD CONTACT FOR MIRRORS!! Oooh, y'all better think of something quick. Beg John Romero & Bobby Prince to mirror! Good Idea, I'm sure Romero would mirror for us, being the nice person he is. And as far as I know, Prince vanished off the earth many years ago after being abducted by aliens... I mean, demons from hell.
