Didn't they decide that most of the Doom 2 tracks aren't available for remixing, being that they're based on real songs? Or was that policy never really decided? Half of the songs in the first Doom rip off something from popular metal songs, so that really shouldn't make much of a difference. Precisely. There are more Song rips in Doom 1 than there are in Doom 2. So it's not a problem. DJP and the judges made a decision in the end that unless they have verbal or written evidence from someone who would be able to tell us if the pieces are rips (ie: Prince or Romero) then they can't make the call on whether it's a rip or not.

While I'd be interested in a Doom 2 and Final Doom Remixing project, I think I'd speak for most people in saying let's concentrate on this one first. No need to rush straight into another one. Let's enjoy the release of DSoP and then consider it later on.

*bump* Cramming lots of different pictures into a smallish signature generally doesn't look very good. You'd be better off picking a specific picture or scene that you'd want a sig made out of so the focus is on something.

A nice mix of E1M1, E1M4 and E1M5 here. This'd please the people who have only played Doom Shareware too since it's all from the early levels. It's very bassy but enjoyable to listen to. Nice work.

That's the doom font. ie: the font they used in the game. It didn't look too "bubbly" in that.

Much much more subtle. I did a quick edit over the top:

make the background as subtle as you possibly can. It doesn't have to be distinct. A very light gray would work with higher contrast.

The only thing I will say is to get rid of the Grand Theft Auto font, it's overused as it is. Yeah, use the doomfont.

Me like. Make the white area's more doomey though. (ie: Textures, maybe use lines from a level map, etc.)

Very cool. Has an enigma sound to it too. The lyrics being filtered down was a little odd, but it works. Nice work guys. Edit: Forgot to say the decision to go with a different time signature worked out well too.
