I don't mind the low sound quality at all. I think it gives the mix a bit of character, like scars on a vintage tank.
Real cool stuff, here. The Castlevania mix was great too.

The guitar work somehow successfully pulls off its country influences while the rest of the mix is ambient enough to not make annoying repetitive or redneck. Really cool, this should go in a deer-huntin' game or the like. It'd make said game 5x better.

Has plenty of distinctly Spanish character. Pleasent mix to occasionally stumble across on your playlist.

There's something about that 7-note "thing" that makes this mix pretty damn awesome... Sounds almost like a violin. I love this.

Solid rock by Midee, prozax and Jeremy Johnson. Keeps the spirit of the original and only improves on it in every respect.
Edit: Although, like Protricity and Riku said, you can't just improve on the original - You have to arrange it beyond just a transition and original instrumentation. Even an occasional changed or added note for the better would do. I s'pose the ending and the notation were the only things not improved on in this track. Still high-quality though.

Awesome mix. I'm kind of a fan of both orchestral and driving military-esque music, so this is definately one of my favorites from Gray. Excellent quality and organization.

And yet, I have to agree with Squid somewhat...I can barely place the songs where this arrangement come from...And believe me, I know Earthbound in and out. As a fan, I do wish it was a tad more recognizable, but anyway...You got the feel down, you got the soul. That's what counts.

The opening sounds like Tessie's theme, and the middle of the mix sounds kinda like the Sea of Eden track.
I just checked on this, and this is indeed from the Sea of Eden ["Magicant2" on the .RSN]. Rellik did a VERY good job of remixing it - I don't think even die-hard EarthBound fans will be recognize this on the first listening.

This is exceptionally beautiful. Starla has a pretty voice, and this song has a lot of emotion to it. The piano adds an interesting atmosphere, and I find this to be one of the best lyrical mixes on OCR.

I can't believe I didn't review this a year ago - This was one of the first mixes I got off WinMX that compelled me to go to this site.
AmIEvil has done some excellent work with other mixes, but this is one of the best of them all. The title is extremely fitting to the atmosphere of the mix - Slow, dark and electronic. Very fine attention to detail, and an awesome remix overall.

Another one of McVaffe's classics right here. Expertly done piano, not too quick or slow. 'Tis a shame more people aren't as into piano as myself. ^^

I was surprised when I saw that this was a pre-400 mix of pretzel's - He usually stuck with his strange, distorted techno style early on, and this is quite a different take.
From what I'm hearing, DJP has a great singing voice that goes very well with the piano. I really like how his voice sounds when slightly echoed, and he did a fine job combining the reverbed synth with the piano and... whatever that slivery xylophony thing is.
Recommend.

This is an impressive and amazing track - Slow and chilled. I swear, this could go into one o' them Christmas movies easy. I fell in love with the piano the second I heard it, and the bells add a fitting touch. You really know how to put this kind of stuff together.

Grah, that intro just threw me right off. I was wondering why I liked this mix so much when I heard it again for the first time in a week or so, then the main melody came in. I gotta pay more attention.
Anyway, I'd have to say that once this gets going, it's REALLY good. I'm a sucker for electric guitar, and this does its job.

Seems a bit too close to the original. JV kept a lot of the source material here without much variation.
It's kind of hard to criticise this mix, as I really liked both the original and this mix. It was a good early effort, anyway, and I'll definately keep it.

The mix seems kind of quiet, so I had to turn up my volume in order to write a reveiw of this. mreh.
This is an emotional [though somewhat minimalistic] mix. I like it, but more as background music - sometimes it feels a bit too artificial and uneventful. I'm betting you turned the volume down to hide those little flaws, eh?
Otherwise, you did a pretty nice job on your part. I'll enjoy this as long as I'm not thinking with a critic's mind.

I don't personally feel it does the original justice, but I still like it. It deviates quite a bit from the original in terms of genre.

I've never heard the original, but if I'm thinking of the same melody in the middle that DJP was referring to, I'd say it does seem like an afterthought. Mildly amusing though, and the original is still there.
I'll listen to the Cid mix and then this one and think to myself, how could it be the same artist? Sorry, not my cup of tea, a bit too slow moving, didn't care for the vocals just ehh overall from my view.I didn't really think... it works. There were some short parts of the.. background instruments... that I thought could have gone somewhere.. but.. the vocals.. just ruined it all. Is this really.. I mean.. I just.. I can't believe... that this is credited to the same person who arranged Tickle My Wily, CidSendsaDreamtotheUnderseaPalace and Tatsumakisenputronic... I.. just.. don't like this one.2/10

Heh, this mix certainly has a lot of good-tasting meat on it. Excellent driving synth. The mix has little pieces of industrail in here, and everything works pretty well for the final product.

This is some high-quality stuff. Incredible, deep and relaxing. It's a nice break from Rayza's usual electronic style.
The instruments are really well-coordinated, and except for this one minor instrument I can't really say that anything is overdone or out of place.

Heh, nice use of relative neo-modern minimalistic cyber-sinewaves with Roland ulatrasounds here. Not too complicated, definately something you can wiggledance to.
Yeah, but seriously, this is pretty nice. Not quite within my range of tastes, but close enough. Good job.
