  1. Instead of DJP himself, how about... ...Pretzel?
  2. Nice work as usual, Wingless. I can't wait to see that finished. This one goes out to BluefoxIcy, and because CH requested more 3-tan. Yes, I took off her sleeves for this pic. They were getting in the way of all the cool folds in her dress.
  3. Yeah, that's pretty much win right there. Yeah, that would be nice... I guess the best we can do is dream about it, right? I mean, where are we gonna find one of those?
  4. I'll be working on that quite soon. Also: Awesome new OCR-Tan, Blackmyst! But I think she looks totally unrealistic and exaggerated now.
  5. That's because Cave Story is awesome. You can quote this one for truth too.
  6. I'm sorry if I sounded a bit harsh there. Basically all I meant was, less talk, more pictures. I honestly can't think of anything else, really. The names are mostly descriptive. The OCR-tans represent the various versions and layouts the site has gone through. And calling them 3-tan, or 4-tan, is a lot easier than saying OCR-version-2-blue-gray-layout-with-metal-panels-tan. The naming convention really spawns from the OS-tans, which simply uses the name of the operating system, or even number of the OS they're supposed to represent. Like 95-tan, or ME-tan. So for now, I'll just call them by their version number until someone comes up with a better way to identify them.
  7. No, I actually intended for her breasts to be that large. All these people keep whining about little boobies (which I have absolutely nothing against) so I decided to give her a more voluptuous build. Her outfit is loosely based on one of Bonus's old 4-Tan designs that a lot of people took a liking to. I feel like it's wrong of me to design more characters without paying tribute to those who worked on OCR-Tan in the original thread. Also (and this goes to everyone in the thread arguing over bust sizes and realistic proportions): Anime characters are not meant to be realistic. They are cartoons. Cartoons are not real. They do not (generally) have proportions equal to actual humans. Thank you, and good day.
  8. LOL @ boobs discussion. I was doodling around again and I managed to rework that old 2-tan design I was messing with a while back: Real quick-like, but it gets the idea across.
  9. Haha. Well considering it's based off of MMX, they wouldn't have to have that naming convention. Tamer Lion? Trickster Pixie? Or, since this is an OCR game and not a Mega Man game, they could just use their remixer names and be done with it.
  10. I remember the old UnMod/OCR RPG from a while back, that used RPG Maker 2000, but which other game are you referring to? If that's the case, her hair is actually tied back into a short, spiky ponytail. I hate to point this glaring flaw out seeing as how nicely you animated the hair previously, but since you're reworking it, I thought I should address it.
  11. Oh, I've definitely thought about it. I'd like to some day, but I need to go back to college first.
  12. As soon as I finished my piece of artwork for today, OCR went down. This was around 8:30 in the morning, and I really needed some sleep. But now that things seem to be back up and running I'll go ahead and post it. There's the actual image with the background and then a PNG with a transparent background in case people want to use her in other things like sigs and whatnot. I feel my chibi skills have much improved and decided I'd do what you might call a "ReMix".
  13. Doing all the judges would probably be too complicated. Keeping it simple with fewer characters is the best way to go for both spriting (fighting characters require a ridiculous amount of sprites) and in balancing the game. However, I was considering doing sprites of Pretzel and Green: Of course there's also the possiblity of tossing in ThaSauce-tan (I already have an idea of how she might look), VGmix-tan or something like that. NWG would definitely be the "toasty" fellow popping in to tell you how nice your work is. Not sure about final boss, 'cause then no one could beat the game. Not entirely cheating. The hair's animation is nice.
  14. $50.98 for the T-shirt and hoodie that I never got from the old store. I hope you got the money, even though I didn't get my stuff last time. And thank you, David, for doing all this for us.
  15. Why, yes... yes it is.
  16. I'm not a spriter, but okay. I really wasn't too sure what I was doing so it's kind of sloppy in some areas.
  17. Rawr! Been in a drawing mood lately.
  18. I thought I already had that. Anyway...more 3-tan sketchy goodness with 50% more chibi! And 100% less color. 'Cause I'm lazy like that.
  19. I would be thrilled to see your take on her. I look forward to it!
  20. Quick sketch. Also, nice work as usual, Blackmyst.
  21. I could... The ones I've played with, that is. Anyway, are game controllers becoming more complicated? Yes. Are they too complicated? No. I'm going to mostly agree with Injin on this one. People who can't learn don't want to learn. It's as simple as that. Even if they're getting more and more complex in their design, they're still designed to be ergonomical. They're still designed to be usable. My father never could get a grasp on the old NES controller because it wasn't familiar to him, and he didn't really care to learn it. However, he did manage to play a little Guitar Hero simply because it was similar enough to a guitar that it wasn't difficult to learn. However, a gamer who's never picked up a guitar will have more trouble getting used to how to work it. A game controller would be easier for them to use. Also, if you can learn to use a GP2X, you can learn to use ANY controller.
