  1. So how does the game play and are you still having that problem? I'm considering buying MMZX but if there's some critical glitch, I'll pass. Sorry, I just now noticed this. Yes, the game keeps messing up, but now I'm almost 100% POSITIVE it's just my copy of the game. I should have known something bad was up when my DS wouldn't read the cart the first time I plugged it in. I could only find the game at a Game Stop too, and I'm not sure about their return policy (if it exists), so I dunno.
  2. I've failed to turn mine off as well, so I was pretty skeptical it was that to begin with, but it was the first thing that popped into my head. Actually... yeah, it was plugged into the charger. I then unplugged it thinking it might have had something to do with it. Even if it was overheating, I let it sit for several hours, and it continued to happen. Also, I've played a few other games on it after it happened, with no problems at all. No error messages or anything of that nature; nothing visibly wrong with it. I wonder if I'm pressing the buttons too hard... I'll definately contact Nintendo if the problem persists.
  3. I know my post is gonna be a little off topic, but I figured it's better than starting a whole new thread for it. I've been playing a lot of Mega Man ZX recently, but I've run into a problem, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them in ZX or in any other game. My DS tends to shut off after a while of playing. Not long enough for me to get to any other transervers (aside from teleporting) or to any major areas. I thought at first I might have accidentally hit the power button while I'm pressing all sorts of button combinations. Things like climbing walls, shooting, using the saber, dashing, etc. mostly all at the same time. But it keeps happening and in roughly the same spot every time. I'm pretty sure I'm not hitting the power off. This hasn't happened to me before, and I tried some other games to see if it was the cart or the DS itself, but no other game I own has the frantic button pressing that ZX does. So basically, I would like to know if anyone's ever heard of, or experienced anything like this with either MM ZX, or a DS Lite. Thanks in advance, and sorry for sort of derailing the thread.
  4. Heheh. Neoforte, KWarp gave me your beam pic and I colored it already. So, that's one off your back at least (unless you don't want to share the credit). This also means I'm free since Plasma was the only other one of yours left I had to color and you got it finished. If you want to send me one of the other ones I can help you get 'em done. Just upload it somewhere and send it in a PM to me. I don't want others to see what the images look like (so they'll be a surprise when they actually get to read it), but I can send you the beam pic since I feel it's only fair for you to see what I've done with your work. I love your sig by the way. SAM and DRG FTW!
  5. Kracko, Beam, Fighter, and Parasol (umbrella) are all finished. Plasma's all I have left to do. I know I haven't been that diligent, but I'm almost done. Thanks for being patient with me. [EDIT]: When I get finished with my list of pics, and if you're still lacking artists at that time, I can take a stab at one or two of the covers as long as I have some good screenshots to use as reference. The two I'd be most interested in are Skyhigh and Hotbeat.
  6. Actually, screenshots would help me out a ton since I hardly have enough time to do the pictures, much less download and play through the game. As far as Fighter goes, I kinda need an idea of what the area looks like and a general enemy or two found in that section of the game. I have the action layed out, but the details are still absent.
  7. I've already got Fighter Kirby, but you can take it if you want. I've only sketched out an idea so far.
  8. I can't seem to find a function in the GIMP like PS has for drop shadows. You can always make a separate layer underneath and fill your selection with black. Blur the "shadow" layer and change the layer opacity. Then set the "shadow" a little offset from the cut-out layer to give depth. If you have multiple cut-outs, you can still put all the shadows on one layer and blur them all at once. This would also make them all the same opacity in one step so everything's uniform. Or you could just send me the file and I'll take care of it.
  9. Only for myself (like below). I'm taking no more requests 'cause they take a long time to do and I too would like to keep them from getting too common. It was first come, first serve and Arek got it first.
  10. I take Kracko. He's, like... my FAVORITE Kirby villain of all time. Oh, and I'll probably take a stab at parasol Kirby too.
  11. Well, Arek just messaged me and said that I HAD to, so I guess I have no choice... I'm still kinda confused with the first post though, as far as what needs to be included with each picture and how they will eventually be incorporated into the book. An example would be Fighter Kirby. Would I just draw Fighter Kirby looking cool, or should be be beating up an enemy? What about backgrounds? Should I see what other people have done so far so I can keep things similar? Can I draw him in a cool pose/perspective, or should he be fairly plain? I just feel like I don't have enough information. Or at least, not enough in one place. I'd love to help work on this, and I had no idea you still needed artists or I would have volunteered long ago. If I can get some more info, I'll start working on it immediately.
  12. Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Advance, Sonic Advance 2, Sonic Advance 3, Sonic Rush, etc... Sure they're all relatively new (and the first few are ports), but so is Path of Radiance (if that's truly the castle in the trailer). Sega also worked on F-Zero GX (awesome game), and are currently making a Wii exclusive Sonic. I wouldn't rule them out that quickly. To those that would like Knuckles in the game, I have to disagree. As much as I like him, his ability to float endlessly AND climb walls would make him too difficult to knock off and keep off. Sure they could gimp him, but I'd rather him not be present than suck. If I was going to pick three Sonic Characters it'd be Sonic, Tails, and Robotnik (in some kind of mecha contraption).
  13. Aaaaaaaaah! It's got me! Eee-aaay! Oooh! Iiiit's go-ot meee! So cheese, let me be. We only need four cats we molest ve-ey (very?) ooooon (hard?) They ate a dog bone. Would noooooot know it's pain. Not faaair, seeeeeee? There I finished it because I'm not lazy. I'm not entirely sure about some of it, 'cause it's a little hard to tell exactly what they're saying. The part you have that goes, "All of he froooooom idiooooots," sounds better and makes more sense as, "All they found are idioooots." Try it out. On a more serious note, I would like to know what they're actually saying.
  14. Do you mind if I mess with it and try to put the Arkanoid font in it? Not at all. You can mess with it to your heart's content.
  15. ??? I had my old Mario Kart DS emblem lying around. They're supposed to be 32x32, right? Where was that? Well if you don't want them, fine. I didn't see that one so I wanted to try one myself. I'm sorry. I made it around the time Mario Kart DS came out to use as my kart emblem and figured I'd save you the trouble of getting it right since it was a pain in the ass for me. Oh, and this was the first time I posted it, I believe.
