You guys are making too big of a deal over this. Sony's actions are just another small blow of bad publicity (although it can be felt more significantly on these boards) that the company doesn't need. There's nothing more to it. No games are delayed, and console numbers aren't shrinking. Can we move on please?

Don't be so hard on Evilhead now. I was in the same position defending Nintendo for the last 5+ years. Still, I find it interesting how the tables have turned. The constant bad press from Sony has alienated a massive majority of people on the boards. Next month will be interesting.

Well except for hardware prepherials and lately the games too. Take for example the 360. Certainly the massive losses on the hardware are made up by $40 memory cards, $50 wireless controllers, $60 games, and $100 wireless console hardware. Always possible. Game droughts are terrible things. Conceptually, that's where I think Sony's going. Everyone will buy a PS3 just like everyone bought a Nintendo 64. Whether the given console holds up will rely on consistent quality software.

Really? I thought the game had tight control with only the barrel roll being an issue. Read some reviews about it and try it if you can.

Storage space and game lentgh are completely unrelated. Dragon Quest for NES is like 200k and it's a 60 hour game. With added storage space we can watch HD movies, store ultra hi-res textures, large soundtracks, etc. The 9gig DVDs are already limiting developers for games like Grand Theft Auto. Big games, detailed worlds just need a lot of space, especially when the next generation of games come out. So I'm guessing a game like GTA can't be on multiple discs by design. That will certainly be a big issue for GTA 360 then. Is procedural generation a potential solution?
