  1. I saw "Another Soundscape" and came in expecting an awesome, somewhat quirky, primarily electronic mix with awesome synths and effects. Damn I'm good. Synths, as expected, are sweet. I especially love the bass. Piano is beautiful. The rainstick is an especially brilliant touch.
  2. My shoulder is still sore and giving me trouble on crosses, but my malteses seem to be getting stronger and stronger, and I can finally do my inverted cross again (though not as low as I would like). EDIT: Ok, I got my shoulder looked at, and I'm under strict doctor's orders to stay off rings all week. Which fucking sucks, because I'm used to rings being the first thing I do when I get to the gym every day. EDIT 2: I PM'd steben about editing the first post or starting a new thread a couple days ago and haven't heard back from him. If I don't hear from him by the end of the weekend, I'll start a new thread on monday.
  3. I'm gonna drop my claim on welcome to crocodile isle. I've got the whole thing planned out in my head, but I just don't have enough time to do it.
  4. Yes, I've seen it. And also the picture taken a couple seconds later where they hugged.
  5. Somebody post the pic of Dave and Jake shaking hands
  6. I think perhaps a new thread is in order for a winter session.
  7. Went through full routines on all three of my events on Sunday (though my floor routine was a bit watered down -- I don't have the endurance to throw all of my biggest skills in the same routine.)
  8. Just booked my room. God damn I'm looking forward to this.
  9. My right shoulder had been completely crippled since friday, and yesterday I finally said "fuck it" and worked rings anyway. After about five minutes of rings strength, my shoulder completely stopped hurting. Go figure.
  10. Actually, there has been more than one occasion where I did a remix and then went back to listen to the original and realized I didn't even remember the melody accurately.
  11. No, I just go by ear/memory and see what I can do with it. Heck, there are some tracks I'm remixing for which I don't even know the original chord progression.
  12. Welcome. After getting one of the best workouts I've ever had on friday, I couldn't do anything on saturday because my shoulders were completely fried. I could barely move saturday morning, and they're still pretty sore today. Now that's what I call a workout. I'll probably do some flexibility work today, but nothing else.
  13. I tend not to like orchestral arrangements, but this is a real beauty. Nice work! By the way, what did you use for the choir?
  14. Had a killer workout this morning. My crosses are getting consistently flat, and my malteses are getting better and more consistent. I did a 2 minute strength set on a ring machine (rings attatched through a pulley to a spotting belt, so you only have to lift half your weight): 30 seconds in a victorian, 30 seconds in a cross, 30 seconds in a maltese, and 30 seconds in an inverted cross. It felt great, my shoulders were dead by the end of it all. Then, after a lunch break, went through most of my usual workout; 360 pulls, rotator cuff pulls, dips, inverted rowers, splits (left leg split is getting closer and closer to flat), pike and pancake stretches, and various shoulder stretches.
  15. I've heard several tracks from the xenogears album which I would rate among the best remixes I've ever heard. That album, if it ever gets released, will be absolutely amazing. But, of course, the DKC2 project will blow all other projects out of the water.
  16. http://www.geoffreytaucer.com/wips/trolls.mp3 source: http://www.geoffreytaucer.com/randomstuff/trolls(original).mp3 More of a cover than a remix; basically using this as an excuse to break in my new guitar. Also, this theme is wicked fucking awesome and somebody needed to mix it. Dunno if I'll ever develop this enough to sub it, but comments are nonetheless appreciated.
  17. I laughed my ass off when Aeris died. She was whiny and annoying and completely useless both in battle and in terms of importance to the plot. I should say that by this point, I already thought the game was crap and wasn't taking any of it seriously anyway.
  18. http://www.geoffreytaucer.com/randomstuff/wut.mp3 What's this from? I've heard it a million times (it's popular as gymnastics routine music), but I don't know what it's called. Thanks in advance.
  19. Star of Hope (A remix of "Gathering Stars in the Night Sky" from Xenogears from OneUp Studios' Mitsuda tribute album) definitely moved me to tears the first time I heard it. That's also the song that inspired me to start playing irish whistle. Actually, a lot of the xenogears soundtrack had that effect on me, though not necessarily to the point of tears. Same with the Chrono Trigger soundtrack. Celes' theme from FF6 definitely made me cry a couple times, though that probably wasn't so much due to the song alone as it was due to the heartbreaking scenes it's played in.
  20. I haven't played brawl in ages. Honestly, I just haven't found it to be nearly as much fun as melee.
  21. Two questions: First, when will we get the details of any planned group buy/OCR discount? Second, when will you begin taking preorders?
