  1. This could be a really good mix, but I think there is just overkill with the effects here, and it makes it sound, well, not nice on the ears. The drums have just been flangered to death, and it's just too much. Take Liontamer's advice. NO
  2. I enjoyed the mix a lot. The arrangement kept my attention constantly focused on the mix, sounded good. The only 2 crits I would give this is that the drums were a touch too loud, and the last shrill sound was a little strange at the end. Other than that, a solid YES
  3. Wow this is amazingly different, love the way this sounds! It's like a teasing taster. I say YES I know this is short, but I can't no to this. Perhaps this is like the mixer making an entrance, like an intro. Next time, please give us some more!
  4. Was this sequenced? I can hear the harmonics and the way the notes are blending together; doesn't sound sequenced to me. Not the best piano piece we've ever had, but this has character. I say YES
  5. Sounds good, but unfortunately it just keeps going with the same vein. What it needs is a really big breakdown or an addition of pads somewhere or something to add some more interest. NO
  6. 64kbps? 22khz? Nah man, that's below standard. The groove is nice, and it's got vibe, but it doesn't build or expand on that. This mix needs some mix up, and a higher encoding, then resubmit. NO
  7. What's that you say? Note for note with the orginal? NO
  8. What else can I say but give this mix a bloody groovy YES
  9. I like the groove of this. It is too short though. More. NO
  10. I played this game probably more than it deserved to be played. Anyway... The percussive element of this is repetitive, yes, but the changing atmospheric sounds mean that the drums have more of a stablising role. I wasn't sure about this until the second half, that clinched the yes for me. The ending felt a little awkward though, what with the slowdown and everything. YES
  11. Good for your first attempt at orchestral style. Like Protricity said, the standard is high. There are some points in the mix where the samples sound a bit iffy, but I think this is still a YES
  12. This is really robotic piano, and lacks the human element. The drums and percussion seem to add to this effect. This would have been better had it been more human. I like the idea, but humanise it! NO
  13. I agree with everything that Daniel said. The bleep could be left in, but it doesn't need to be anywhere near that loud. The song just needs to be fattened up with some eq. This song is almost there. Plz resubmit, cause I like this track. NO
  14. Sounds good, but this definitely needed to be built up to a climax. There was no dynamic energy. Sounds very standard. NO
  15. Ha, sounds like the petshopboys. Very well produced, and quite unique compared to what is presently on the site. YES
  16. Yeah my problem is the loop as well. Perhaps it's because I use Reason and so am very familiar with the loops contained within. The loop has been well used, but I can't help focusing on that one aspect of the mix. What is more fashionable, and certainly better when people are so familiar with the loop, is to put any loops that you're using as secondary percussion. As it is, the loop is on the frontline here, and it's just glaring at me throughout. That aside, the song has been mixed nicely, and everything else is fine. But the drum issue just overides everything else. NO
  17. The thing about this mix is that is just doesn't have any soul to it. It sounds good and all that, but the mix itself lacks the human element, if that makes any sense. NO
  18. This is too short. Apart from the chord structure actually being made explicit, this isn't that different from the orginal. I also found the style to be quite chaotic at times. NO
  19. Oh the file has changed completely, size and all! I see he's using the 'upload' technique while waiting in the queue. Anyway, this sounds a lot better than the one I downloaded before. I like everything about this, the instruments are clear and the percussion has snap. So as long as this isn't a rip, I give this a YES
  20. I still stand by my comments made above, I think that although it has a repetitive element, it does work well. It just took another listen. YES
  21. This mix is mind-numbingly repetitive. There's nothing here really. The instrumentation is ok, as are the instrument levels, but this needs a lot more variation or something to put some life into this. NO
  22. Some interesting stuff in the middle with the strings, a lot of tension there. I think this mix achieves it's purpose, although it would have been nice to have had some mad climax at the end. But there you go. This is a YES
  23. Not bad, but there are issues. I think the arrangement changes were done well enough, but the effect of the mix is severely affected by the sound quality. The guitar was by far the instrument that pulled the mix down. I think that with some more original content in the mix, and by taking into account all of the aspects that have been mentioned, this could be a yes. NO
