  1. Hmmm...I like this. Yes, he uses excellent samples, and I think that he does the song justice. YES
  2. Hmmmm, this is kind of a hard one. There is not a lot of hip-hop on this site, so I thought this was a good idea. Until I downloaded it. Erm these sounds just don't go together. NO
  3. Oi! Maximum 192kps! Oh well I guess this was submitted b4 that guideline was enforced. Heh I like this. Very movie like, damn good sounds. Tooooooo short. I'am saying no because it's too short, no other reason. Give us a longer version and this will definitely be going up.
  4. WTF are we voting on this? DJP must have thought something was a little off. Hmmm. At 1.16 that synth is has got a really high pitched harmonic. Like really high. Apart from that minor personal nitpick, this mix is bloody excellent! YES
  5. Ooohh I like this. The reverb is really piled on, but the mix is solidly done, and I must say this is very impressive. The synth programming has been well thought out, and the sounds are constantly being changed and filtered, keeping the listener's interest. I'm keeping this. YES Lots of reverb. But it works.
  6. Hmmmmm.....good idea, but this has some poblems. The bass is a bit muddy, and the (synth?) brass, well that's just bad. The sax is good though! This is a good idea, I like the way this could have sounded. NO The brass is ewww, and the mixing is off.
  7. This mix isn't too bad..... Oh, I see! Well if you're gonna do that with a guitar, then I guess I'm gonna have to say YES P.S.Hmm, the drums sound like Wingroove. I wonder if I'm right?
  8. Well it's been a while since I've sent in a mix, and it's not as busy in here as it was a couple days ago, so I thought now might be a good time. It's called Super Hang On 'Smooth Ride', and is a remix of the 'Outside a Crisis' track in Super Hang On on the Megadrive. I mean Genesis. You can find it at http://www.stationmp3.com/malcos
  9. NO Clips a lot, and the fade-out ending doesn't suit this, as rock/metal are live genres!
  10. I like this, very nicely done. The sounds are fresh, and the drums, while light, fit very well. YES
  11. Yeah! I get to do a tie-break! Ooh, lots of bass... I like this mix a lot. While there is not very much variation on the melody for the first part of the mix, there are a lot of changing beats, each one of them with their own groove which adds something to the mix. The instrument quality is good, and the feel is hard and rough, which suits fighting. I don't think that this mix was too repetitive. YES
  12. Very nice sounds! Nicely varied, good arrangement, etc etc... I can't really say much about this mix except... YES
  13. Erm, this can't be my soundcard, can it? Anyway, I hear some clicks and pops in this mix. The mix itself is actually good, and I would say yes for that, but the clicks and pops kinda bother me. A lot. NO. Just because of the clicks and pops, nothing else.
  14. Whoa, this must be some dynamic shit, my speakers are moving! Oh damn, the songs been cut off at 1.10. I'll continue judging this when I get the full version.
  15. This is mellow, yes, but really did not expand on the original theme at all. It's just the theme played on a guitar with some bass in the back. If it's going to be this minimal (sorry, I mean mellow) then at least play around with it a bit. NO
  16. Well this is much better than the first submission of this mix. While I think that perhaps some more reverb might be needed on some of the instuments, this has definitely been re-worked. YES
  17. Oh dear. I was in neutral until the strings came in. Those strings are really bad. This didn't really hit at all like techno is supposed to. And the ending left me with a bad taste in my mouth. NO
  18. Starting the mix with applause. Hmmmmm..... I'm half way through the mix now, and that beat is killing me. Repetition repetitionrepetitionrepetitionrepetitionrepetition.... Hey wait, this doesn't fit the guidelines. Yeah, yeah, midi rip alert. Cut. NO
  19. Hmmm, this is a difficult one. The mix sounds like that cheapy sort of techno. Yeah, DiscoDan said it right, "Grocery store". Now if that is the effect that the remixer wanted, then fine, but to be honest I'm not sure whether this is enough of an evolution to be posted on this site. Oh well, if I'm not sure about anything in life, just to be safe, I always say NO
  20. Everything is sounding very nice in this mix indeed. A lot of space is created, and the tempo changes are done tastefully. YES
  21. I like the percussion and the way everything else is done, but it's gets boring after a while. Whoa, erm, that fadeout takes way too long, it shouldn't take that long to fadeout! But a little more variation in this in terms of the piano parts, and shorten the fadeout time significantly. This mix has potential. NO
  22. Some of the keyboard parts are slightly out of time, but I suppose that adds to the live element of it, and complements the guitars, which are excellent. The only critisicm I would make about this mix is that the drums are weak. But then, perhaps that would subtract from the other instuments. YES PS. Hmm, the end could have been sustained a little longer.
