  1. SnappleMan, glad to see that you are now involved in the project. Looking forward to hearing your tracks! As for my mix, I've gone back and pretty much revamped the synth instruments. I may post a WIP this weekend, depending on how much work I get done. Glad to see that the project is progressing well.
  2. Whoa whoa whoa! Remember that you are not mixing for sithlordaku (or whatever he's called these days), but for the legions of people who are interested in this project. While I agree that the title should not be discussed as of now, I think you should cut sithlord some slack. He has made some mistakes, but notice how he attempts to correct them before things get too out of hand. In summary, just go easy on the guy...
  3. Here's my latest WIP of "Eternal Excavation". EDIT: Thanks Rayza: 'Eternal Excavation' 04.10.05
  4. Well, GeckoYamori has another good point. If the songs don't sound well mixed together, it shouldn't be done. The way I see it, crossfading would only be good if it was executed properly (not a generic 5 second crossfade, but crossfades that fit the individual tracks. (I've done it before with Adobe Audition, and it's turned out pretty good.) As well, not all tracks would be suited to crossfading. If crossfading is used, it must be used properly.
  5. Hmm... excellent point. Yeah, there's something about Siamey's mix that I really like, but can't quite match! Anyway, here's an update to my WIP: 'Eternal Excavation' Thanks once again to Rayza for hosting this! Known issues: - annoying clicking from 0:15 to 0:20 - yeah, it needs to be longer and have more variation. - something's not right with the drum track at 1:45... ( I thought I fixed that! Oh well!) EDIT: I might eventually do a drum overhaul if I can come up with something better than what's already there... So, what do you think?
  6. 1. I agree, we should do as many tracks as possible. On the other hand, 40 TRACKS would be to many. EDIT: Although it would be cool if someone made a medley of some of the unused tracks, such as the 3 Bonus Stages. 2. Not all of the songs from the DKC Project were 'crossfaded'. But yeah, I would like to see the tracks on this one 'crossfaded' into one continous track.
  7. I'm thinking about incorperating this track into the ending of my 'Endless Mine' mix. As EM would be the last compitition track, I feel it's appropriate.
  8. Umm, can anyone provide a host for my WIP? Tripod's too damn unreliable! EDIT: Thanks to Rayza, I now present: My Currently Untitled Endless Mine Mix EDIT: New URL, once again courtesy of Rayza. Mix now titled 'Eternal Excavation'. Known issues: -Drums need more volume. -Drums need more variation. -Everything after the 1 minute mark is still in progress. So, what do you think?
  9. I know this is overkill, but for those who want a complete and accurate Sonic 3 & Knuckles GYM soundtrack (checked it myself), here you are: http://members.lycos.co.uk/jeffswallpapers/boardfiles/EMW/SONIC3+K.rar (Copy+Paste the Link if necessairy... and if someone wants to, they can mirror it) I hope it uploaded all right. And here's the list of all the files in the RAR.
  10. Why not? Well, in my opinion, 25 tracks is enough! And besides, both the Knuckles theme and Invincibility theme have two different versions each, the Sonic 3 version, and the Sonic and Knuckles versions.
  11. I think I'd like to try my hand at one of these tracks. Put me down for 'Endless Mine'.
  12. Isn't it: "Yeah, I recorded it all in one take, while blindfolded using just my toes and my Yamaha Motif." "Ooh, that sounds very interesting..." I agree, we should wait a while before a S3&K project. While I fully support the idea of the project, I think that we should wait for the projects currently in progress to finish first.
  13. I've listened to the entire project several times now, and I must say, the remixes on this project are among the best I've heard. I commend your excellent work! Sadorf: While I will agree that the original melody is not easily recognisable, I still love your mix. ...I never really liked Aquatic Ruin's Music anyway... analoq: Kickass work as always... S|r NutS: ^ See above ^ Hadyn: You said that you believe your tracks aren't as good as the others on the project. WTF? THEY'RE FREAKIN AWESOME! 'Party in the Emerald Hills' is one of my favorite tracks on the album! Richter: 'Radio Results' is AWESOME! Not only is the song itself really really good, the mock radio broadcasts are hilarious! 'Tripping On Mario Paint'?!? Excellent!!!! Good job on other the other tracks as well!
  14. Not a dumb question at all!Let's see... For the CD itself, I used Adaptec Jewel Case Creator 1.02 (included with Easy CD Creator 4). I printed the CD on Fellows/Neato CD/DVD Labels (Matte Photo Quality CD Labels (2-up) with core and spine labels) For the front, back, and everything else BUT the CD I used Nero Cover Designer 2.3 (included with Nero 6). I printed on Epson Glossy Photo Paper. Make sure you set the quality and paper settings on your printer. Also, do a test print on low quality and normal paper. You don't want to ruin a sheet of glossy or CD label-sticker-paper. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
  15. I just finished printing my album art, and it turned out better than expected! My crappy HP printer usually results in very washed-out blurry printouts, but for some reason it liked these labels. It's the first time in a long time the printout looked better than it did onscreen... It looks much better in real life than in this photo! Thanks again to Icy Guy for the 'Sonic 2 Menus' font. hobo: Thanks... for the umpteenth time! Actually, it was your praise that inspired putting the 'Thanks To: Everyone who gave comments...' on the inside of the booklet. And to the mixers and everyone else involed... thanks for taking the time to create this wonderful project. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I started playing this album. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised! Spectacular work!!
  16. Download crawling along at a mere 6 KB per second... lovely... and they call it 'high speed internet'... Well, now the 'complete package' of my artwork is available. I realize that some of the text on the inside cover may not correspond to the text currently on the site, but all I had to go by at the time was the WIP site, which was constantly being updated by Richter. I just noticed the OC Remix home page: Pretty sweet that they used my cover art!! If they asked, I could have completly removed the background for them, but they did a pretty darn good job considering they only had access to the PNGs and JPGs on the site. (who are *THEY*, anyway?) It's pretty cool to at least have my name on the Hedgehog Heaven site... now, if only I submitted a remix...
  17. Yes... but I'm not saying how... "COPY AND PASTE THE URL" http://jeffstrades.tripod.com/dontkicktheghost.mp3 -112kbps poorly compressed 30 second sample of Nixdorux's "Ghost" with the kick drum edited out.- -Made it myself!- This is just a poor attempt to remove the kick drum using various filters. AND BEFORE YOU ASK, I'M NOT, I repeat, !NOT!going to release a full version of this piece with the kick drum taken out. It would be disrespectful to Nixdorux to do so without his permission, and I'm probably stepping over the line by posting this 30 sec sample. If anyone believes that I should remove the link and stop sharing the file, please let me know, and I'll gladly do so at the drop of a hat. PS. I actually like the kick drum, I just made this to see what it would sound like without it. To be honest, I think it sounds better with it...
  18. What a coincidence... the last time I checked this page, this mix wasn't there. I just finished listening to it (from VGMIX) and I thought I'd check back on the forums, and voila, it's there! Although the dance kick drum seems a bit out of place, in my opinion, it works well, especially around the 0:55 mark... Excellent work!
  19. Oh man! This remix is breathtaking! I always liked the melody! I heard it first in "Rockface Rumble" from DKC3 (it's very similar), and I fell in love with it instantly! Well, what to say, other than ASTONISHING! I love the guitar solo from 1:53 onward! ...excellent, excellent, excellent...
  20. I took the time to download Relics of the Chozo about a month ago, and I was really pleased with the overall feel of the album. However, this track sort of cought me off guard. This is undoubtedly the most unique mix I've ever downloaded! The constantly changing tempo is executed very well. Also, the instrument/percussion tracks that Adhesive_Boy uses throughout the piece are exceptional. (My favorite part is 1:59-2:57, in the RotC OGG file just in case the times are different) Overall, A+ work Adhesive_Boy!!! Keep up the good work!
  21. This was the first remix I ever downloaded from OC Remix, and it's still my favorite! Excellent job LeeBro!
