EDIT: Notice that when you go to Ike's entry through the Characters page, that banner doesn't appear? I think if Sakurai meant for that banner to signify that he's a hidden character, it would be consistent. I'm really sure this is just Sakurai's way of being dramatic about the new character announcement. You know some cheesy greasy fanboys wouldn't believe their eyes if that wasn't there to help break the news.

I think the banner is just a confirmation that this is, in fact, a new character announcement. Without it, people might be skeptical and wonder if we're getting another assist trophy.

So today I just discovered that you can move the cursor on the Wii Menu with the Classic Controller's analog stick. All this time I would select a VC game with the Wiimote and pick up the Classic Controller only to think I still needed to Wiimote to point at and press Start. No longer! I even typed out a message to a friend using the Classic Controller, and when you have a free-moving cursor instead of a selector that's fixed on keys it's almost as easy to type using the analog stick as it is the actual pointer. It's a fascinating new discovery for me but I can't help feeling dumb for missing it before.

Uh... the Footstool Jump is in and of itself a Meteor Smash attack. That's why people are talking about the implications of every character being able to perform a Meteor Smash now while only a few had the ability in Melee. Although you are right that the Meteor Smash aspect is not the only implication; the extra jump(s) possible might be strategically intriguing as well. I still think it looks stupid and I hope it's something that takes skill to pull off or I can see this becoming some seriously cheap bullshit (which is why I referred to Mario Party earlier).
