  1. Last extension, 24 hours. I hope someone will enter, otherwhise it might end up with a one hour entry from me if I find the time. EDIT: I found an hour and did that song. There's some competition. There are still two hours left to remix and then you have some minutes to upload it as well.
  2. You all have one day extra because I'm too tired to do that voting start post and because there aren't any songs yet.
  3. The People's Remix Competition 153 PRCv6-53 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! The 22nd edition from this season is over. It was the first PRC in a long time where one remixer submitted two songs. Jabond23 splitted himself in NintenJoe and Smobaderby and the songs collected 14 together. Joystick couldn't do that, he ended at 10. But, because NintenJoe took 9 points and Smobaderby 5, the 10 points from Joystick are enough for the victory. The source tune from the last round was the title theme from Hocus Pocus. Joystick didn't spend two days to decide which song gets the honour to be a PRC tune. He decided to go for a Sega Master Game about a kid who lives in a world where things can happen what you don't expect. Alex Kid in Miracle World (SMS) - Title Theme MIDI ThaSauce link Yes, it's another main theme song (like the last three rounds). But of course it doesn't matter, it's the source himself what's important. This game doesn't have a PRC history, so you can be the first one to win a 'Alex Kid PRC'. I'm exited to find out what miracle this PRC brings us. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY September 20th at 11:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. . You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can't take part (however, he's free to submit a Bonus Mix) but his vote will be doubled. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  4. It's results time. In this round, I didn't need to extend the deadline. Three songs where up, two of them are from the same remixer (Jabond23), it's a while ago it happened before, it was Avaris who did that in round 80 (Zelda Minish Woods). Joystick completed the participants list. Total number of mixes - 3 Total number of votes - 3 Maximum Score - 12 Minimum Score - 4 Smobaderby did a crazy chiptune mix, but it's not popular enough to not win the last place wooden spoon with 5 points. NintenJoe64, the second form of Jabond23 got the big first place vote from last rounds winner Setokaibarocket, but his 9 points are only worth a second place. And Joystick wins PRC152 with 10 points! Congratulations Joystick, your song was given the most points. It's your second PRC victory after the tie from PRC149. Jabond23 ends at 2 and 3, maybe you could better have used Jabond12 as username. Joystick, you may select the next source for PRC153. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Friday, September 11th at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list: http://bambombim.googlepages.com/bambombimremixcompetitienl http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc See you all next Friday.
  5. It seems to work now. Anyway, I don't know what I'm going to do if the case happends that both your songs tie (or even all three songs ends equal). I'll decide that later, maybe you are allowed to pick two sources then.
  6. Here's the voting stage In a 'normal PRC round', three entries appeared. Two of them are from the same remixer, it is allowed by the rules, so I'm not taking action against it. I don't know the exact rules about voting in this situation, I think it's the most fair if you don't vote, but of course you are free to leave a comment about Joysticks song. I know it's weird the rules say you may upload more than one and ThaSauce won't let you, what you did is just the right thing. It's time to vote. Joystick is free to claim his bonus, he only may submit his top two. The winner from the last PRC, Setokaibarocket, has a vote that counts twice. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. (only first and second for Joystick, Jabond23 can vote, but all the songs will get three points in that case) - State a reasoning for it. You have until NEXT Wednesday, September 9th at 11:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC153 which is going to start Friday. The songs: NintenJoe64 - Alakazaam Joystick - The Hocus Pocus String Quartet Smobaderby - The Wizard's Trusty Chiptune EDIT: The last song seems to be corrupted, but if you right click and save as in the above link, it should work.
  7. The People's Remix Competition 152 PRCv6-52 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! It's results time. Smobaderby did a crazy chiptune mix, but it's not popular enough to not win the last place wooden spoon with 5 points. NintenJoe64, the second form of Jabond23 got the big first place vote from last rounds winner Setokaibarocket, but his 9 points are only worth a second place. And Joystick wins PRC152 with 10 points! Joystick, you may select the next source for PRC153. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Friday, September 11th at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. We're almost approaching the end of the sixth year, time really goes fast. It's time for the 22nd edition of this year. This round will be regular again, what means a remix stage from a little over a week, a voting stage from two days and the next round starting two weeks after the start from this round. In the last round, Setokaibarocket, Chickenwarlord and DjMokram entered a song. 6 Voters decided that Setokaibarocket was the winner of the San Francisco Remix Round. Setokaibarocket was quick with submitting the source, which gave me some time to prepare this round. He picked no Fire Emblem (like he used to do when he won his first two or three PRC's), but something different. Hocus Pocus (PC) - Title Theme MIDI ThaSauce link This game isn't very remix-popular, it hasn't any Ocremixes and it hasn't a PRC history as well. This round will do something against that (at least for the second thing). When you google Hocus Pocus you don't get this game for sure (more wizard things etc.), but there really is a Video Game called so (and of course, it's about a young magician). GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY September 6th at 11:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. . 8. It's results time. It was hard to get some songs, but at the end still three remixes where up. Next time more, I hope. The voting stage got enough attention. Every remixer claimed his bonus and some others voted as well. Total number of mixes - 3 Total number of votes - 6 Maximum Score - 18 Minimum Score - 6 Chickenwarlord posted an important song for the contest, but it ends with a last place wooden spoon with 8 points. DjMokram was a little late, but not to late to not be in the contest. He gets 13 points and a second place. And PRC151's winner is Setokaibarocket with 18 points! Congratulations Setokaibarocket. Every voter voted you first and after 'winning' some last place wooden spoons, you now get the deserved jackpot. DjMokram and Chickenwarlord gave you the needed competition, also important for the contest. Setokaibarocket now has won PRC five times, Rexy is still the leader with 17 victories. Setokaibarocket, you may select the next source for PRC152. That round will be regular (two weeks period). Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Friday, August 28th at 11:59 am Eastern US Time.
  9. Here's a Speedyshare link to two of his non-OCR remixes for those who where interested (I just uploaded it by request so I thought I would share it again): Get Equipped With Strobe Light and Needleman By Night: http://www.speedyshare.com/259850643.html I keep getting requests to the 'legend lost Disco Dan songs' from several users once in a while because people now I have the songs.
  10. No voters appeared and I'm in a good mood after two months vacation: I'll add it.
  11. Here's the voting stage In this three weeks holiday contest again not many songs appeared. Setokaibarocket was fast with his work, but the file got corrupted so it's not listenable at ThaSauce (it seems it works fine now, but I let the links there to make sure everything works). I've add links you can follow to listen to the song from Setokaibarocket if it's not working at ThaSauce: Tindeck Link Googlepages Link After the second extension Chickenwarlord and (a little to late, but it's OK) DjMokram did an entry. It's time to vote. At the last moment three songs appeared. This means participations are encouraged to vote to claim their bonus (not for themselve of course). The winner from the last PRC, TheoConfidor, has a vote that counts twice. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. (only first and second for participants) - State a reasoning for it. You have until NEXT Wednesday, August 26th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC152 which is going to start Friday. It will be a regular contest. The songs: Setokaibarocket - Baghdad Rush 2049 or The Arabic Mix That Got Sidetracked Chickenwarlord - Los Angeles Lag DjMokram - Streets of Rush
  12. OK, I tried to reupload this entry (This means the files changed position), but it failed. I edited the post from Setokaibarocket (it got removed, my apologizes) and added the Tindeck link and a backup link to the song. Just click that when you vote. Anyway, it's Chickenwarlord to save the world again.
  13. I managed to get it. I might do that reupload myself later.
  14. I (and Rama as well) can move them by uploading to another contest. I used to do that with Bonus Tracks from PRC by uploading them to the next round and then move them to the round they belong). You should ask Ramaniscence (like you did) because I'm not the leader from this challenge. Otherwise you can always post what you have.
  15. I managed to get it from: http://compo.thasauce.net/files/ and then search the song. Very strange, I can't help it.
  16. I wish Disco Dan and his girlfriend a very nice marriage and the best luck with their child.
  17. Extended with almost two days. New deadline is Sunday 04:00 AM (ThaSauce time)
  18. The People's Remix Competition 151 PRCv6-21 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! It's results time. Chickenwarlord posted an important song for the contest, but it ends with a last place wooden spoon with 8 points. DjMokram was a little late, but not to late to not be in the contest. He gets 13 points and a second place. And PRC151's winner is Setokaibarocket with 18 points! Setokaibarocket, you may select the next source for PRC152. That round will be regular (two weeks period). Check it at the list: http://bambombim.googlepages.com/bambombimremixcompetitienl http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc See you all next Friday. The songs: Setokaibarocket - Baghdad Rush 2049 or The Arabic Mix That Got Sidetracked Chickenwarlord - Los Angeles Lag DjMokram - Streets of Rush After 150, 151 comes. The last round was a longer round, but because it was vacation, not much more interest was for the round. After an extension, TheoConfidor and Alex Smith submitted a work. In the voting stage, TheoConfidor gave his opinion and Bundeslang and Joystick decided the winner. TheoConfidor got the best score and wins. TheoConfidor didn't submit a source, but by a weird reason, I got a PM from round 147, where TheoConfidor was the source selector. That PM didn't arrive to me on time for that round. I decided to pick that source. San Francisco Rush 2049 (N64) - Title Screen Music MIDI ThaSauce link I'm not familiar with the game, but the source sounds promising! The game looks interesting, maybe I'll play it later. This source is very nice and can be mixed in a lot of different styles. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by FRIDAY August 21st at 8:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. . You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. The winner of the previous contest can't take part (however, he's free to submit a Bonus Mix) but his vote will be doubled. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  19. Weird. I got a PM at ThaSauce with a source tune for PRC147 which was send two months ago. Maybe that was the source supposed for PRC147. I'll use that one.
  20. It's results time. Two sources after the double win from last round. Because it's vacation, I guess most people actually don't have time for doing PRC. Still, two remixers managed to get a song in. After voting, the following result appeared. Total number of mixes - 2 Total number of votes - 3 Alex Smith did a short but nice song, but winning is a bridge too far. He gets a second place wooden spoon with 2 points. And the winner of PRC150 is TheoConfidor with 5 points! Congratulations TheoConfidor. You did a great remix. It has a lot in it and it was enough to win the round. Alex Smith did nice as well, but only one can win PRC. TheoConfidor, you may select the next source for PRC151. Make it a good one, because this will again be an over three weeks PRC (deadline's gonna be 21 august). Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Thursday, July 30th at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list: http://bambombim.googlepages.com/bambombimremixcompetitienl http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc Remember, the sooner I receive the source, the faster I can start the new round. See you all next Thursday.
  21. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to second. Leave the third box empty. - State a reasoning for it. You have until NEXT Tuesday, July 28th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC151 which is going to start Thursday. It's gonna be a longer contest again. The songs: TheoConfidor - This is Too Easy AlexSmith - Larry Versus Duke
  22. Still over a half day left to get the entries in. This round will not be extended further because otherwhise I get in trouble to start PRC151 before I left for my third vacation. PRC151 will be at least three weeks long again. After that, I want to go back to the usual PRC timeline.
