  1. I checked it, but didn't receive it. Weird. I'm used to get the PM's via Ocremix. I edited the Youtube link, I was already looking for a better one, but then my internet failed yesterday and I wasn't able to do that before now. Thanks for the link. Gario, feel free to do what you want, as long as the source is still the main part of the song. And yes, it's acceptable to ignore some parts of the source (like around 1:07). When I'm listening to the song I should think: 'this is a remix from Mario Kart 64 - Bowser Castle'. Some PRC-Related news: Ghetto Lee Lewis posted his RC Pro Am Remix (PRC145) at Youtube: There's also an OCR-Thread of it, check it at: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=23644 Good luck everyone, Binweasel already submitted a song.
  2. I most likely won't be entering in all fairness, I remixed it before.
  3. Hello,

I posted a thread twice due my slow internet. The post where's no PRC in the title should be removed (Hmm this Castle is weird).

  4. The People's Remix Competition 147 PRCv6-17 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC146 is doneover. Three songs entered the contest before the deadline, but I already extended it. That was a good decision, because four other songs appeared after that. One newcomer entered, Rationaljeff, and he did a great job by taking third place. I entered and ended last (like most of my songs), together with Setokaibarocket. Gario and Brainstar tied fourth place. Ghetto Lee Lewis claimed second place. TheoConfidor did a very good job, he received scores from every voter, and wins the round. TheoConfidor wins and may select the source. But, that didn't happen on time. After trying to wait a few more days (asking other users as well, maybe I don't do that in the future), I decided to select one by myself, as winner of the most wooden spoons. The source is from a popular game from the Nintendo 64, but except for a remix from me, I don't know any remixes of this tune. This sounds promising for a new contest. Mario Kart 64 (N64) - Bowsers Castle MIDI 1 MIDI 2 ThaSauce link This game is well known, I still play it many times. Mario Kart is a very popular game. Bowser Castle is my favorite stage because a lot of things can stop you. Still, I win 150cc without any problems. The music was awesome and since there aren't any remixes, I decided to pick this one. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by MONDAY June 1st at 5:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. . You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can take part (and I'm not). My vote will only be doubled if it breaks up a tie. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  5. I'm selecting the source for PRC147, which will end one day later as usual.
  6. That's difficult. It doesn't happen many times. I better not aks Ghetto Lee Lewis because he already selected the source a few times. I think it's better to change the rules here. Anyway, if there's no source in a 12 hours, I pick one by myself (I don't think it's good to wait longer).
  7. Still haven't the source. Ghetto Lee Lewis, I hope you (as number two) can send a source for the next PRC. If TheoConfidor can get a source in, that is gonna be the source for the next round. Let's get PRC147 started (otherwise it might end up submitting a source by myself).
  8. I hope TheoConfidor can send the source for the next round between now and 11 hours, otherwise I must ask Ghetto Lee Lewis.
  9. I didn't know that. I don't disqualify the vote, but I added a third place for everyone who's not in the top 2. You get your 3 point bonus. It's results time. First of all, it didn't look like a lot of remixers would enter this round, but at the end, after extension, seven remixers where able to post a song. This time, 11 listemers voted for the songs and they weren't all the same. At the end, the winner received just 5 points more as the #2. Every remixer voted and claimed the three points. It was hard to count the scores and change the points, but I hope everything is correct. Total number of mixes - 7 Total number of votes - 11 Highest possible score - 36 Minimum possible score with voting - 3 Bundeslang and Setokaibarocket received a third place, but four points aren't enough to not receive the last place wooden spoon. Gario and Brainstar tied as well, they received more points and some first places. Both received 12 points and fourth place Rationaljeff starts with a nice third place. 17 Points is very good for a debutant. Ghetto Lee Lewis tried to make the "Prophecy-GLL victory Ring", but his 20 points are not enough to win, it's a second place. And the winner of PRC146 is TheoConfidor with 25 points! Congratulations TheeConfidor. You submitted a great song. Every voter voted for you, and you received a lot of first places. Ghetto Lee Lewis couldn't beat that. The debutant, Rationaljeff, surprises the most of us. Taking 17 points in a round with 7 mixers is very good. All the points Brainstar gets where first places (and his own vote of course). TheoConfidor, you may select the source for the next round, PRC147. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Friday, 22 May at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. See you next Friday.
  10. @Brainstar: You should edit your vote/vote again because it misses a third place. Every place should be filled in, otherwise I might disqualify your vote. (I may only give you two points bonus, because you only filled in two ranks.)
  11. Here's the voting stage Prophecy has won PRC145, and he selected another online game tune where he's the composer from. Not many happened till one day before the deadline, only me submitted an entry before that. I decided to extend, and then there where three entries before the original deadline. But after the extension, seven songs appeared which is much better. Great work all. Participants are encouraged to vote, they receive a three point bonus. They can't vote for themselve. The winner from the last round, Prophecy, has a vote that counts twice. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. - State a reasoning for it. You have until NEXT Thursday, May 21th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC147 which will start Friday like usual. I've drunk a little, so I apologize if there are any stupid sentences in this. (I think I vote tomorrow, if not the same problem appears). The songs: Bundeslang - Run Before You Die Rationaljeff - Re Harm Experiment Brainstar - Fullmoon Fantasy Gario - Slaying the Wolf TheoConfidor - Hunger of the Beast Setokaibarocket - Lycanthropy Ghetto Lee Lewis - The Wolf Inside of Me
  12. Nice. The extension isn't needed after all. But, I already extended the round, so I'm not undoing it. Still 32 hours left to finish and I hope the extension gives more entries so it's not for nothing.
  13. Allright, I think I can better extend this now because it gives at least three persons time who needs it and they know that they have that time. I hope you guys can all enter before Tuesday. I give you an additional 32 hours. I might not be able to post the voting rules at that exact moment. If I'm not, voting still starts at that moment, and you can vote already, but the details will be posted later then. Voting ends one day later (Tuesday Morning) as planned.
  14. I liked last years round, so I'm gonna enter too. Hope to get an interesting source, like the Hammer theme from Donkey Kong
  15. I hope everyone can find this Forum (No posts in three days in the whole Competitions Forum). I'm trying to get a song in this.
  16. The People's Remix Competition 146 PRCv6-16 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! It's already the 16th PRC from this season. Last round, the source was R.C. Pro Am, selected by Ghetto Lee Lewis. Several remixers wanted to enter, but some of them were not able to post a song before the deadline. 2 of them did: Gario en Prophecy (both sick at that moment). With an extension, Just64helpin added another good song. Prophecy's song was the best, an ear infection couldn't stop him. It received one point more as Gario's song. Just64helpin ended third with one first place vote. With his second PRC win in a row (he couldn't win #144), Prophecy decided to bring in another online game where he composed the music from. In PRC144 the source was Red's theme from Assassin Blue (three entries). This time it's a different game. It doesn't have any remixes at Ocremix and hasn't been on PRC before (I even didn't check this). Wolf (WWW) - Title Theme MIDI ThaSauce link This game is (like the last source from Prophecy) unknown. I just played it for a short time and I must say, it was a funny game (I ended after the main player transferred into a wolf). At http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/18324 you can find the game and play it if you want and leave a comment. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY May 17th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. . You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can't take part (however, he's free to submit a Bonus Mix) but his vote will be doubled. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  17. It's results time. This time three remixers entered, one after extension. Prophecy tried to make a double, Gario and Just64helpin entered as well. Ghetto Lee Lewis submitted R.C. Pro Am as source, not the longest ever, but still very interesting. Ghetto Lee Lewis submitted a bonus mix. 5 Voters this round and again all users received a first place. At the end, two remixers ended very close. Total number of mixes - 3 Total number of votes - 5 Ghetto Lee Lewis entered a Bonus Mix which is worth uploading to ThaSauce. That's gonna happen later. Highest possible score - 18 Minimum possible score with voting - 8 Just64helpin received a first place, but not enough points to pass the others. He gets the last place wooden spoon with 10 points. Gario was close, but people got afraid he was going to post the hammer theme and that's why (just kidding of course) he ends at 14 points and second place. This rounds winner is Prophecy with 15 points! Congratulations Prophecy. Even an ear infection didn't stop you from winning. I hope you are feeling better now, and Gario too. Prophecy submitted a very good work. There where some 'silent gaps' in it, which almost made it end second. At the end, Prophecy gave Just64helpin first place and thanks to that, Gario didn't win. This makes a double, after winning PRC143 he couldn't take the victory in PRC144. At #145, he's back and wins again. Prophecy, you may select the source for the next round, PRC146. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Friday, 8 May at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Yes, even the Hammer Theme from Donkey Kong is allowed. See you next Friday.
  18. Nice. I'll do the upload transformation trick later to have this in ThaSauce.
  19. Here's the voting stage With Ghetto Lee Lewis winning PRC144, the source is R.C. Pro Am. One hour before the deadline only one song was up, from Gario. Prophecy posted his work quick after that. Still, I decided to extend the contest. After the extension, Just64helpin added a song which makes three. Participants are encouraged to vote, they receive a three point bonus. They can't vote for themselve. The winner from the last round, Ghetto Lee Leiws, has a vote that counts twice. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. - State a reasoning for it. Participants only have to send in their top 2, they are not allowed to place themself in the top 3. You have until NEXT WEDNESDAY, May 6th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC146 which will start Friday. The songs: Gario - AM Trance Prophecy - Bubblecar Heaven Just64helpin - Pro Amnesia
  20. I guess extension isn't killing PRC, so I give you all a day and a few hours extra to improve/finish the songs.
  21. I hope to see more entries coming in the next three hours. Otherwise....Extension
  22. Your signature is giving the correct information, but it's linking to the past contest. It should be a one number fix
  23. Yes. Feel free to do that. As long the source is very recognizeable.
