  1. Extended with two days. I'll check everything later.
  2. The People's Remix Competition 150 PRCv6-20 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! It's results time. Alex Smith did a short but nice song, but winning is a bridge too far. He gets a second place wooden spoon with 2 points. And the winner of PRC150 is TheoConfidor with 5 points! Congratulations TheoConfidor. You did a great remix. It has a lot in it and it was enough to win the round. Alex Smith did nice as well, but only one can win PRC. TheoConfidor, you may select the next source for PRC151. Make it a good one, because this will again be an over three weeks PRC (deadline's gonna be 21 august). Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Thursday, June 19th at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list: http://bambombim.googlepages.com/bambombimremixcompetitienl http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc Remember, the sooner I receive the source, the faster I can start the new round. See you all next Thursday. The songs: TheoConfidor - This is Too Easy AlexSmith - Larry Versus Duke It's already 149 rounds ago, the start of PRC. In the vacation season, it's time for edition 150. This is gonna be a different edition: - The remixing stage will be three weeks, voting starts at Friday 24 july. - Voting ends at Monday 27 july - The next round will start as soon as I've received the source, but before Wednesday 29 July. PRC149 was a very nice round. Four entries where submitted before the first deadline and all of them where appreciated in their own way. At the end, two remixers received the most points. Showroom Dummy received three first place votes, Joystick only one. Because that one counts twice, they tied. Bundeslang claimed third place and Ceil ended fourth. Duke Nukem 3D (PC) - Title Theme Leisure Suit Larry 3 (PC) - Love Theme MIDI Duke 3D MIDI Leisure Suit Larry 3 ThaSauce link Two total different songs. One theme of a shooter game, where you kill people. And a love theme, where you like people. It should be a great challenge to do both songs in one remix, but of course it's also allowed to remix just one of the two songs. As for the Duke Nukem song, I've picked up a great remix from Menasor at the global techno site (guess what genre it is?). You can find it in the topic: http://www.globalhardtechno.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=323 You can't download the song anymore, I'll upload a link later. I played Duke Nukem 3D a lot and I even created my own version of it called Kevduke. I created a lot of levels when I was 15 or something. I replaced the main theme with a different MID in that time. I don't know Leisure Suit Larry 3, but I don't think it's a game like Duke Nukem 3D. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by Friday July 24th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. . You may remix both songs in one, but you don't have to do that. It's fine to remix just one of the songs. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. Josytick and Showroom Dummy, the winner of the previous contest can take part but they have to remix the song from the other winner. Their vote won't call twice, but can make a difference when there's a tie(however, if they submit a Bonus Mix (from their own song) or don't participate the vote will be doubled). Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  3. You can also PM it to me, that's how most winners send their source, but you can also mail it to me to bambombim@gmail.com if you want.
  4. Both of you must submit a song, both sources are gonna be used and the remixers are free to use one of the songs, or both. A MID can make remixing a lot easier. Most songs have a MID, so maybe you can find it somewhere. Working with a youtube link only is hard. Remember to pick something from a video game. And Setokaibarocket, interesting start for what could have been an interesting song.
  5. It's results time. 4 Songs appeared before the deadline. Including one from Joystick, that song doesn't sound much like the source, but it's in. It was attractive for the remixers to vote. Bundeslang, Ceal and Joystick claimed the bonus very quick. Binweasel used his double vote as well. Showroom Dummy misses the bonus (but that shouldn't be the main reason for the end results). Total number of mixes - 4 Total number of votes - 4 Highest possible score - 15 Minimum possible score with voting - 5 Ceal did a strange remix. It didn't work out enough to make it the winning song, he gets five well deserved points and the last place wooden spoon. Bundeslang survived with 8 points, enough to claim third place. And the winners of PRC149 are Showroom Dummy and Joystick with 13 points! Congratulations Showroom Dummy and Joystick, you both did a great job. After three votes, it looked a lot like Showroom Dummy was going to win, but the double vote changed it. You both may select the source for the next round, PRC150. Both send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Thursday (Earlier as usual), July 2nd at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. That round will be different and longer. If I don't have a source then, I have to start PRC150 myself with a source from me (it's very favourable there are two winners). You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. I finally created that list where all the PRC rounds are listed (with the winners). The sources in this list aren't allowed to pick if you win PRC (always check it). I'll try to update the list once in two months or something like that. The list can be found at: http://bambombim.googlepages.com/bambombimremixcompetitienl http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc See you all next Thursday.
  6. Here's the voting stage Showroom Dummy was very fast with submitting his song. I decided to enter too, it's a weird mix). In the last days, Ceal and Joystick finished the participation list from this PRC. Joystick's entry may not sound too much like the source, but I decided to 'let it slide'. It's up to the voters to give him points for it or not. It's time to vote. There isn't gonna be a voting extension and the source from the next PRC must be in Thursday already because I'm leaving Friday for a vacation (like stated in the first post). Of course, participants are encouraged to vote and they receive the bonus. The winner from the last PRC, Binweasel, has a vote that counts twice. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to second. Leave the third box empty. - State a reasoning for it. You have until NEXT Tuesday, June 30th at 11:59 am ThaSauce time, LESS TIME AS USUAL to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC150 which is going to start Thursday. It looks like it's gonna be a three week contest. The songs: Showroom Dummy - Assimilate Me Bundeslang - Banana Bomb Ceal - Just A Remix Joystick - Quarter Life Crisis I created a list where all the PRC rounds are listed. The sources in this list aren't allowed to pick if you win PRC (always check it). The list can be found at: http://bambombim.googlepages.com/bambombimremixcompetitienl http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc
  7. I might enter myself too. EDIT: Uploaded. I'm not able to do more than that now.
  8. I'm looking forward to see what everyone's going to do with their source. I've accepted mine.
  9. The People's Remix Competition 149 PRCv6-19 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! It's results time. The songs: Showroom Dummy - Assimilate Me Bundeslang - Banana Bomb Ceal - Just A Remix Joystick - Quarter Life Crisis We're moving to the 149th edition. After the not so popular PRC148 this round should be better. Binweasel was fast and Just64helpin submitted a good song as well. Only 1 voter decided the winner, and Binweasel was the lucky one. Binweasel submitted the source very fast. His source is interesting and I hope more people will participate as last round. Half Life 2 (PC) - Triage at Dawn MIDI ThaSauce link GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY June 28th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. . You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can't take part (however, he's free to submit a Bonus Mix) but his vote will be doubled. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests. I'm going on vacation from: 3 - 10 july 13 - 27 july and 31 july - 14 august. And maybe I can't run it from 17-21 august too. I don't think I'll be able to run PRC after the next round (149). There are a few options I can do: 1 - I can start PRC150 like usual and make the mixing stage a few weeks longer, voting starts when I come back (27) and the next PRC starts at 30 july, with again a longer mixing stage (voting starts at 14 august and the next round start monday 17 august). 2 - I can start PRC150 like usual and let the voting stage just start (without making the announce post), then the winner should start the next round and so on till 15 august. I can try to keep ThaSauce open so hosting isn't gonna be a problem. 3 - PRC150, PRC151 and PRC152 are going to be organisated by someone else, maybe without using ThaSauce (like the old times). 4 - Stop PRC for some weeks and start it up again at 15 august. Let me know what you think. Option 3 might be the best, but because it's vacation, I really think option 1 is good as well.
  10. I received it and maybe I'll start it tonight already because the source from the next PRC (150) must be in before Thursday 2 june. After that, I'm going on vacation from: 3 - 10 july 13 - 27 july and 31 july - 14 august. Let me know what you think. Option 3 might be the best, but because it's vacation, I really think option 1 is good as well. Let me know what you think in the next PRC thread. I also make this post in the next thread. And yes, you may call me Mr. Bundy.
  11. Fourth post in a row: It's results time. The source looked promising, it has a IMC history. Still, this round ended to be the worst round from this year. After two extensions, two songs where up. Total number of mixes - 2 Total number of votes - 1!!!! (I don't feel for extending it) Just64helpin deserved the gold for saving the contest, but he gets a second place wooden spoon with 2 points. And the winner of PRC148 is Binweasel with 3 points! Congratulations Binweasel. Great work. You enter the PRC history as winner with the lowest score. Just64helpin did a great job by making this a contest, but only one can win. I think you both deserve to win this. Thanks. All I can say is: forget about this round, and make the next one a very nice one. Binweasel, it's up to you to select the source for the next round, PRC149. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Friday, June 19th at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. (I still have to make that list). See you all (and I hope more people) next Friday.
  12. I remember. They tried to do a second album, but it never appeared.
  13. I need more votes. I don't want to decide the winner on my own. 19 Hours left.
  14. Here's the voting stage After the extensions, I almost forgot Ambient was PRC147's winner. He selected the source which is known pretty well. Still, this round moved on very slow. Binweasel was very fast again, but before the extension it was the only song. After the first extension, still no more remixes where posted. In the second extension, Just64helpin saved the contest. We can now move on to the voting: participants may vote, but it doesn't change anything. They can't vote for themselve, which means both songs receive 3 points. Ambient has a double vote. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to second. Leave the third box empty. - State a reasoning for it. You have until NEXT Thursday, June 18th at 3:59 am ThaSauce time (if I edited it right) to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC149 which I hope I can start Friday like usual. The songs: Binweasel - Ain't No C.B.G.B. Just64helpin - Burning and Soiled Next time I don't plan deadlines around 17:00 local time because internet is always slow around that time.
  15. Last extension: One day. If still nobody else enters, Binweasel wins by default.
  16. No, PRC149 still can start Friday or Saturday morning. I don't extend it that long. Maybe a day extra if still no more songs are coming.
  17. You should PM Starla, because if everyone knows the request, people might want to pick another song. The challenges are private and remixers don't know what are the other challenges. I guess this one isn't gonna used?
  18. Well, one entry before what's close to the deadline. This means, extension: 1 day and 4 hours. Maybe after that there's more.
  19. Could you post a link to PM Starla. It can be found of course, but some users won't do that. A link can help a lot. EDIT: It's here. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=28
  20. The People's Remix Competition 148 PRCv6-18 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! The 17th Edition of this year has passed. With Bowser Castle (Mario Kart 64) as source, four remixers entered the contest. BlackStar started his PRC carreer and he ended third. 6 Persons voted for this round, three from remixers. Binweasel claimed second place, Ambient was the winner. Ambient was pretty fast with selecting his source. I already started the contest on ThaSauce, and I decided to just start it at Ocremix as well (why waiting..). The source is famous from a classic remix contest called Ironmix, it was the theme from round 13. No remixes ever made it to Ocremix, it's time to change that. Tekken Tag Tournament (PS2) - Ling Xiaoyu Theme MIDI '>Youtube ThaSauce link This game is a very undermixed game. At IMC13, a lot of remixers did a remix of it, but that's the only thing ever happened around this source. A download link to the files from the contest can be found here, it's a RAR file from almost all IMC songs (from all rounds). http://species.herograw.net/ironmix.rar The title of the topic is named to NoWave's remix. I only know the game from these remixes, which are legends. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY June 16th at 7:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. Important: PRC149 will be regular but ends earlier (2-7). July and August are gonna be crazy months because I'm on vacation for about 75% of these months. I don't know all exact dates I won't be able to check it. In the beginning it's not gonna be a big problem. My first vacation is from 3-10 July, that's why PRC149 will end earlier (so I can start #150 myself). More information will come when I know more about the exact dates I'm going on vacation.
  21. It's results time. In the beginning, people where complaining about the source, but they all thought it would be a great challenge and that's what a source should be. Four people managed to get a song in, enough to not extend the round. Six voters voted for the round. Total number of mixes - 4 Total number of votes - 6 Highest possible score - 18 Minimum possible score with voting - 3 Setokaibarocket did a nice song, but 8 points isn't enough, he gets the last place wooden spoon. Blackstar starts his PRC carreer with a nice number of 9 points (two first places), ending at a third place. Binweasel was quick, but to quick to win, he received second place with 10 (+3) points. And the winner of PRC147 is Ambient with 15 points! Congratulations Ambient. You come back and just beat everyone. You're work was the best, you only missed three points. The others where close, Blackstar, and Ambient used the vote bonus, but Ambient didn't need it to win. Binweasel voted as well, but he voted for himself (third place) for some reason. It looks a lot like a fault, but I decided to not give the 3 points, because it doesn't change anything (if it did, I would have given them). I corrected the scores. Ambient, it's up to you to select the source for the next round, PRC148. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Friday, June 5th at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. (I still have to make that list). See you all next Friday.
  22. First: it's usefull to speak English in the Forum because not many people speak/read Spanish Second: Remixes should be in the Workshop - Feedback Workshop Remixes Forum Third: The Remix isn't bad. This is something what's supposed to be a translation. My Spanish isn't good so I used a translator. "hello to all, I leave remix here them that I did of the Mario kart the 64 songs are Rainbow Road and Victory Lap also they can unload the song I hope that they like and comment greetings!"
  23. The link to the MID should be: http://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/ORC120_Into%20Another%20World.MID (Maybe it's just coming up when the contest 'starts' for real. Interesting song.
