The People's Remix Competition 140 PRCv6-10 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC139 started slow, but after the extension four songs including one bonus was the result. The compo was extremely close, two winners and the third song only one point away from victory. Evktalo and Thu ended better as Just64helpin. This means two sources for this round. Thu decided to submit a source from a game which needs more mixes. The game is underrated, it has only one remix at Ocremix. It's a Nintendo game. Evktalo decided to pick something else. A Windows game which hasn't been remixed in PRC before too. 4 Ocremixes is more than 1, but still, the chosen theme doesn't have one (of course). With two songs, you can chose to remix one of them, or both in one song. It's results time. After the great PRC138, it's logical that we didn't have ten songs again. After the extension four mixes is a nice number. Still, it was a very close round. Total number of mixes - 3 (+1 Bonus) Total number of votes - 5 Highest possible score - 15 OneUp decided to send in a good Bonus Mix, of course it's not allowed to win the round. Just64helpin did a nice piano mix, it was close, but the total of ten points brings him the last place wooden spoon, only one point away from victory. And the winners of PRC139 are Thu and Evktalo with 11 points! The three participating songs ended up very close, only one point difference and a double winner. The five voters seperated the points extremely. The family winning streak hasn't been broken, but Evktalo ends equal. Thu, OneUp and everyone, including Evktalo, can try to win PRC140, with the sources which will be selected by Evktalo and Thu. PRC138 is done, with 10 songs (one Bonus from Thu) it was the best round from this season till now. OneUp took the victory in a round where his brother Thu selected the source, he keeps the victory in the family. Thu can try it again this time, but it's gonna be hard for him. The source of the round was Journey to Silius, Stage 3. Showroom Dummy and ReSeT ended only a few points behind OneUp and several other users did an awesome song as well. OneUp decided to pick a source from one of the most popular series, but the game isn't that well-known (not even one single OC-Remix). Not NES or SNES this time, we're gonna do an DS game. Well, Thu voted for OneUp, but it's not the only vote. The joke was made in the last round, but things could have turned out totally different. If Showroom Dummy voted, and not on OneUp, he was the winner, it was very close (ReSeT was close as well).

It's results time. It didn't happen many times that ten songs appeared. With 9 participating remixes and one bonus mix, a lot of users could take a first place voting bonus, and many did. Total number of mixes - 9 (+1 Bonus) Total number of votes - 10 Highest possible score - 33 Thu did a nice Bonus Mix, but as last round winner, he couldn't win this round. Evktalo did a good song, but none of the voters gave him any points. With his vote, he claims last place wooden spoon with 3 points. Chickenwarlord did a good job, with one point and his vote, his total ends at 4 points and an eight place. Txai received two first place votes, but that's all, his 6 points are enough to claim sixth place, together with Brainstar. Just64helpin did only a little better, a fifth place with 7 points. Setokaibarocket received a first place, but didn't receive enough points to enter the top 3, it's a fourth place with 9 points. ReSeT received several points, including two first place votes, from several users, the total of 16 points is enough to win third place Showroom Dummy was the first remixer who uploaded his song, many users liked it. 17 points are worth a second place And the winner of PRC138 is OneUp with 19 points! It's close between the first three remixers. Many remixers voted, some of them where even quicker than me (in the first hour already four votes). It's a great PRC with many good songs and a good number of votes as well, thanks to everyone. OneUp keeps the victory in the family again, after winning PRC136 and his brother winning PRC137. Let's see if Thu can keep it there again in PRC139. To the other remixers it's the challenge to make that not happen. True. Last year (PRC105-110) PRC didn't get much entries as well. In most of these rounds, Chickenwarlord saved the contest. January is just a very bad time for remixing because everyone has to start-up again after the holidays. ORC110 (last year august) isn't long ago and that was a very good round. I'll try to be there next month (if time let's me). BTW: Nice song Gario.

The People's Remix Competition 138 PRCv6-08 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC137 is over. After the victory from OneUp in PRC136 he decided to select Nintendo World Cup - Golden Goal as source. His own brother Thu came up with the best song and so the victory stays in the family. Now it's up to OneUp (or his father or someone else in the family) to keep it there again. For everyone else it's the goal to make that not happen. Thu is also one from the few who wins PRC with his first participate. The source has been selecting, after looking in the Ocremix database he found a song which isn't remixed before to an Ocremix and it's also a song from a game what's never been in PRC before. However, I liked some remixes from Journey to Silius which where posted on Vgmix. I found one in my database, a song done by Nesper (called Recapture). I don't know there's an easy way. Just look in the # a b c d .... z above and click the game and check if the song is in the 'songs' list. If you pick an unknown game, there's a big chance it's allowed. Otherwhise you can ask your brother Anyway, you didn't need the brother love to win. I voted you first as well. I'm not going to give penalty's because if I didn't know you are, I'm not able to.
