  1. Do people receive a bonus for voting? Otherwise I think it's needed (I don't think many remixers want to vote and then lose the contest because they gave the wrong remixer points). It could be possible the points aren't updated yet, I need to add those Bonusses as well in PRC. Anyway, I don't think it will change the winner, but it makes a third place tie.
  2. If there's less as an hour left, the time appears in red.
  3. Forget about the www. The link should be: http://dod.vgmix.com/ You can find the link to Eric's song (he won that round) at http://dod.vgmix.com/past/feb04/
  4. I think it's from Eric, DOD is a remix contest: www.dod.vgmix.com
  5. The People's Remix Competition 145 PRCv6-15 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC144 is over. Three songs entered the contest including one of mine. Of course, that one ended last. DjMokram and Ghetto Lee Lewis did better. Ghetto Lee Lewis asked to not vote for his song, but that failed, he won the contest with 26 points. DjMokram received the second place. Both improved their results from PRC142 and PRC143 with one place. Now it's the challenge to DjMokram to improve one place again and get victory. To the others it's the challenge to prevent that. With his first PRC win, Ghetto Lee Lewis decided to submit an interesting source from an old game. The composer, Dave Wise, is currently on the front page as the star of an OCR interview, check it out. He became famous with this NES game as well. The game is in the OC-Remix list, but there are no remixes listed in it. This is because there was an Ocremix, but it's not in the list anymore (I accept tunes which don't have a song at Ocremix at the moment. Removed remixes don't count as OC Remixes). RC Pro Am (NES) - Title MIDI 1 MIDI 2 ThaSauce link This game is well known, I played it myself a long time ago. This game is not famous because of the soundtrack. At Vgmusic, only the title song appeared and I don't know there's more music in the game. Checking the Ocremix Removed Database, one remix from Insomnic was found: http://doulifee.com//Storage/OC_Removed/RCProAm_Insomnic_Intro_OC_ReMoved.mp3 This remix is, like the source, not long (only 0:34 and I think the remix is a MIDI rip). GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY May 4th at 5:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. . You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of the previous contest can't take part (however, he's free to submit a Bonus Mix) but his vote will be doubled. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  6. One of the last PRC's was Mother 3. http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC142
  7. It's results time. My internet is too slow, but I hope it works now. Four songs again. Ghetto Lee Lewis and DjMokram tried again to improve their last round result (I can copy paste this sentence). With Prophecy's victory, he decided to submit a source from a game where he created the music for. This was one of the less active rounds on the OCR boards, but it didn't need an extension. Bundeslang submitted a song to complete the contest. 9 Voters this round and all users (yes, even me) received a first place. There is some variation in voting, but the difference is big enough. Total number of mixes - 3 Total number of votes - 9 Highest possible score - 30 Minimum possible score with voting - 12 Bundeslang takes another last place, but this time it's not with a minimum score. Still, he wins the last place wooden spoon, with 17 points. DjMokram deserved to win, he received 21 points, but it's only worth a second place. And the winner is Ghetto Lee Lewis with 26 points! Congratulations GLL. Ghetto Lee Lewis asked to not vote for his song (or place it last), but most voters didn't listen. 26 points is more than enough to be the winner. I think he did a very good song with probably the best vocals ever. Maybe I should try next round to do a not-vote-for-me-campaign. The rules are so that I can't take points away (I'm only able to remove the 3 points voting bonus). This means Ghetto Lee Lewis wins the right to select the source for the next PRC, number 145. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Thursday, 23 April at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. See you next Thursday.
  8. The file is not in the ThaSauce list, so I don't know what happened. I also didn't listen to the song, maybe he just uploaded his PRC song in the wrong contest. If DjMokram removed it himself I want to know why. Maybe he's just updating it and brings the song between now and 37 minutes.
  9. I tried it, but it didn't work well. However, people know how, when and where to vote.
  10. Here's the voting stage This is probably one of the slowest PRC in the boards (only 5 replies), but still we managed to get three songs before the deadline. I decided to do a song and regulars from the last rounds DjMokram and Ghetto Lee Lewis tried did it as well. Participants are encouraged to vote, they receive a three point bonus. They can't vote for themselve. The winner from the last round, Prophecy, has a double vote. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. - State a reasoning for it. Participants only have to send in their top 2, they are not allowed to place themself in the top 3. You have until NEXT TUESDAY, April 21th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time, this means less time as usual to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC145 which will start Thursday! PRC146 will be regular again. The songs: Bundeslang - Blue vs Red DjMokram - Groove Asesino Ghetto Lee Lewis - Don't Vote for this Song
  11. Best lyrics ever. In the case of there are three entries, people have to vote for this because they have to post their top 3.
  12. Douli can upload it as a remix and then edit the tags from the Artist to Setokaibarocket. I did that with PRC to upload some Bonus mixes. (I can upload it myself too)
  13. Uploading seems to be slow. I hope it's better tomorrow, otherwise if you want to upload an entry but it doesn't work, then post the link here. Voting will then not start before I uploaded these songs (it looks like my song is one of those). EDIT: I managed to upload my entry, but it took 15 minutes.
  14. As long as people don't start making game with music for PRC, I accept these submissions. Also, 5 days left and bump to make sure people not think PRC143 is the PRC going on (it's bumped above this). I think I'll be entering this round.
  15. The People's Remix Competition 144 PRCv6-14 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Like PRC142, PRC143 had four songs and a bonus mix. Ghetto Lee Lewis tried to win after his second place. DjMokram tried to improve his third place. Chavous and Prophecy came back to PRC to complete the participants list. Setokaibarocket also planned to enter, but problems with the ThaSauce MP3 upload system and his internet kiosk it didn't arrive on time. Prophecy show that he still can remix (he wasn't around for a year) and he takes the victory with almost the maximum score. Ghetto Lee Lewis received a little more points as Chavous and he claims second place. DjMokram did a nice job, but he received the last place wooden spoon. With his second PRC victory, Prophecy decided to submit a different source. It's from a popular online freeware game (it is accepted since the OCR guidelines don't give a real answer). I like the idea so I decided to just do it. I believe not many people will recognize the source. With Prophecy being the composer of the song for that game, this PRC is a little ORC as well. Assassin Blue (Online) - Red's Theme MIDI ThaSauce link This game might be very unknown, since it's an online game. It doesn't have any OC Remixes (of course). More information about the game can be found on: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/44391 Yes, you can play the game over there to see where the song is. Otherwise just think this is an ORC. GOOD LUCK! Fine Print: PRC instructions If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY April 19th at 4:00 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. Voting ends 18 hours earlier and PRC145 will start on sunday. I uploaded Setokaibarocket's PRC143 Bonus Mix and moved it to that round: http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC143 Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  16. I hope Prophecy can send his source very fast. Otherwise I have to ask Ghetto Lee Lewis.
  17. It's results time. Four songs again. Ghetto Lee Lewis and DjMokram tried to improve their last round result. With Prophecy and Chavous back in competition, it makes the round interesting. Setokaibarocket also wanted to enter, his song is added as a bonus mix. I hope I can do the transfer trick again in the next round. Eleven voters this time, even more as last round and a vote/participate rate from 2.75. Again, all participants voted (even very quick). It makes the following result: Total number of mixes - 4 (And 1 Bonus Track) Total number of votes - 11 Highest possible score - 33 Setokaibarocket was too late to enter by circumstances, but it doesn't mean his song is not PRC worthy. DjMokram wins the last place wooden spoon, he received 8 points for his song. Chavous comes back with a nice song, his 18 points are enough to claim third place. Ghetto Lee Lewis did a good song, appreciated by a lot of the voters, but again he ends at second place with 21 points. And the winner is Prophecy with 31 points! Congratulations Prophecy. Prophecy comes back and wins with many points. He misses only two points, which means eight persons voted him first (and he receives 3 points vote bonus). It's his second PRC victory after the great collab with Rexy in PRC48 (He also ended third in PRc54 and fourth in the second round). It means Prophecy wins the right to select the source tune for PRC144. Send it to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM before next Friday, 10 April at 11:59 am Eastern US Time. You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. PRC144 starts normal, but the voting stage will ends 16 hours earlier and PRC145 will already start on Thursday because I'm not able to acces the internet from Friday 24 - Sunday 26 april. See you next Friday.
  18. Sounds very promising. I'll try to upload your mix later (I hope I can try something what makes ThaSauce to accept it), it's too bad it couldn't enter. I like it.
  19. It even happened in the last minute more than one time.
  20. Here's the voting stage Again four entries appeared. Chavous and DjMokram submitted very fast, Prophecy and Ghetto Lee Lewis entered in the last phase of the remixing stage. Participants are encouraged to vote, they receive a three point bonus. They can't vote for themselve. The winner from the last round, Binweasel, has a double vote. The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. - State a reasoning for it. You have until NEXT WEDNESDAY, April 8th at 4:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner will get to choose the source tune for PRC144! The songs: Chavous - Somky Entrophy DjMokram - Yume O Mite Prophecy - Nerd Girl Dreams Ghetto Lee Lewis - Nighty Night Sucka Bonus Track: Setokaibarocket - Chill Out
  21. I can't register. There's some scheduled maintence on 31/03.
  22. Hope it's not an April Fools joke.
  23. With the change to ThaSauce, I believe it's forgotten to mention in the voting rules. It's not wrong if people can vote for themselve, but if some people know and do it and others don't know it is. Like Zephyr, I agree a bonus is the best. A bonus first place (like in PRC) is the best because it makes it attractive to vote for remixers. Voting for yourself (like I did in the FLMC Contest) can be an option, but it's a too big advance for the remixvoters (I'm too lazy to change this word).
  24. I uploaded OneUp's Bonus Mix from the last round and moved it to the PRC142 page. The link is here: http://compo.thasauce.net/files/OneUp_-_Insert_Soviet_Russia_Joke_Here__Bonus_Mix_(PRC142).mp3 I hope this works.
