  1. plopped my yearly amount in the paypal box. can we get water this year?
  2. alright, melody, it's up kaden, how much did you sell it for?
  3. alrght, that makes more sense. it's a second-wave 80gb model, then - software compatible. it was AFTER those models - the F, G, etc models - that they took out the card reader and the extra slots. if it was a MSG4 special edition, it'd have a different code on it. you've got the same one i've got, i just forgot that mine had the card reader. except for a few instances (FFXII final battle's a good example), they're just as good as the hardware-emulation models, and the blu-ray player in them is the better version that doesn't jam or crap out as often. in my opinion, they're the best backwards-compatible PS3 you can get nowadays, notably since it's rare that you have issues with the hdd size in them.
  4. check the serial on the bottom or back (forget where). launch-model hardware-emulation PS3s are worth more than first-revision software-emulation PS3s.
  5. @nesper - from now on, please format things a little more like what i use on the front page. it takes forever to reformat everything each time =) @kaden - i was under the impression that the launch model PS3s were 60 or 20/30gb, (CECHA and CECHB). 40gb and 80gb backwards compatible models (CECHC and CECHE)didn't have the memory sticks, i thought.
  6. ccleaner doesn't clear out stuff specific to most legit programs - just temp files and other junk. so it'd likely not affect it at all.
  7. OCR. go straight south from the spawn, you'll see my tower of man-power.
  8. yeah, it's totally possible to use a large memory/cpu-intensive plugin that doesn't map MIDI properly in FL to do that, but it's memory/cpu-intensive, and it doesn't map MIDI properly in FL. it'd be nice to have something a little smaller that doesn't crash half the time to do that. it'd also be nice to be able to change the stutter or retrigger length in real time rather than having to set it beforehand.
  9. use revo uninstaller to remove it, and try again.
  10. thanks for those that delivered goodies to me. those caves were QUITE extensive. got ten diamond, almost a hundred iron, probably two hundred coal, and around fifty gold out of it. mapped out some good obsidian farms, too. still haven't found a mob spawner, yet, though =(
  11. i think i might have to =( i was hoping to avoid that. oh well.
  12. holy CRAP. this song is incredible! broke my top five for tracks from OCR. incidentally, harmony and drumultima were already on the list. go figure.
  13. /span and /multimon only work with Ultimate or Enterprise. the issue is i'd have to upgrade both computers, and i've got one Ultimate license that isn't being used elsewhere in the house. that means that i'm technically going outside the terms of service, and i'd prefer to keep my OSes legitimate. the alternative is taking Ultimate off of one of my other systems and putting Pro on there, and then using that key, but it'll take forever to do that and i just don't want to deal with it. the thing is, i'm not leaning on it too hard at all. i'm only using it for sharing monitors and a keyboard/mouse - all the processing is being done on the other computer. when i worked at MS's tech support office, we shared multiple 1920x1200 monitors on a daily basis over the Internet and i got better performance than i'm getting on local gigabit. doesn't make sense, and i'm still digging to figure out why. i might as well just swap a monitor and dvd drive and do the upgrade itself on the music system. i've never used W7's upgrade service, just XP, so i'm not really sure what to expect. i know it's possible to upgrade over a PXE boot, so i wasn't sure if it was doable over RDP.
  14. good morning! i've got one question, possibly two, regarding RDP. i run two PCs at my house - one for gaming and online usage, and one for creating and writing music. the first has full network functionality and can access the web at any time. the second computer is blocked at the router from accessing the web, but is connected to my gigabit internal network. both of my monitors (1920x1200 and 1680x1050), my keyboard, and my mouse are connected to my first computer. my high-end monitors (speakers, not displays) and audio interface are connected to the music computer. both are running Windows 7 Professional. i originally wanted to use RDP to connect from my online system to my offline system to allow me to share video and control input information without having to fool with an expensive KVM (KVMs that can pass audio through HDMI are very expensive!), but i've since discovered that you cannot use multiple monitors with RDP unless you have Windows 7 Ultimate or Enterprise on both ends. while i have several licenses for Ultimate, it's not an option to reinstall the OS on my music computer thanks to how long it takes to re-install 75+ VSTs and audio programs and their respective security devices. it took me three days the first time through =) so, my first question is, is there a registry hack or other workaround that allows RDP to use multiple monitors at varied resolutions in Windows 7 Professional? i should note that i've tried several alternate solutions - RealVNC, UltraVNC, and Teamviewer are a few - but none have the smooth, instantaneous feel that RDP has, as well as the support for 1920x1200 video. UltraVNC was very choppy even at 256 colors...over a gigabit network that has been tested up to 120MB/s transfer rates between computers. didn't make much sense. i can stream a 1080p heavily encoded and compressed movie over the network, but not a 1680x1050 screen? in the event that this isn't possible, i need to know if it's possible to upgrade Windows 7 Professional to Ultimate without losing any of my programs and installations...over an RDP connection. the music computer currently doesn't have monitors or input devices hooked up to it, as it's in a rackmount. it also doesn't even have a DVD drive on it, and i don't really want to bother hooking one up for something that should be this simple. every time i try, it kicks back an error almost immediately, before i've even chosen to upgrade or not.
  15. i agree here. sooooo much better without all the visual bling.
  16. logged on, found the dongcastle, but no one else was there. can't believe no one ever found all my hidden goodies! at least the library was still there, and relatively uninfested. there's so much different from when i was on before - right down to the different blocks and all that. i think i'll collect my stuff and start over. do mobs spawn everywhere at night? i found several in my castle, which is well-lit, both at night and during the day.
  17. you might call it a problem, but my email inbox says that it's totally fine. he wound up emailing me after all
  18. might jump on again tomorrow. my info is prophetikmusic, still. dunno if you saved it since i'm like the most visiting guy on the server or something.
  19. gates aren't necessarily a problem - anyone can use volume modulation to make an interesting pattern. something that makes it easier than manually clicking in simple patterns - like the FL delay 2 effect, for volume rather than delay - would be nice, but isn't really required at the moment. the retriggers are the issue i'm having - i can't seem to find an effect that really properly simulates a retriggering effect live, without rendering out audio and chopping it up. i know it's possible, but it seems that nothing's out there that does that without a ton of overhead.
  20. i've been listening to a lot of music that uses extensive gating and retriggering throughout multiple instrumental parts lately. when attempting to recreate that, i've been using dblue glitch, and it seems to be working fine for what i want. unfortunately, it's really unwieldy to use solely for one of those effecting types as listed above. is there an effect or technique for FL 9/10 that would allow me to do this? or do i just have to export the pattern to a wave, chop it with a slicer, and mess with it that way?
