  1. So, I have all my Poker Night TF2 items... but I noticed I can't trade the newer Lugermorph, only the Vintage one. Also, a Companion Cube Pin has apparently snuck into TF2's files. Portal 2 pre-order bonus anyone? Someone asked about the Highlander server earlier: The Highlander server does not actually enforce the highlander game mechanic, due to it preventing subs from taking the place of a regular if someone gets disconnected. Also, it's set up for tournament configuration.
  2. I saw a TF2 client update a few minutes ago... suspiciously right after I ran the "first time setup" for Poker Night. No indication that there was a server update, though. Edit: The update consisted of translation updates and map thumbnail image updates.
  3. Well, you're probably going to see less of me in TF2 in the coming weeks. I'm really starting to get fed up with whatever connection problem exists between my ISP and our TF2 server. The constant lagging is really irritating. That and there's a new WoW expansion coming out. Also, I noticed my Lugermorph is now a Vintage Lugermorph... probably because people who play Poker Night at the Inventory can get a new one.
  4. A small required update for Team Fortress 2 is now available. The specific changes are: - Fixed Crit-a-Cola behaving like Bonk! Atomic Punch. Updating BLU and RED now, with Highlander and (not running) event to follow. Update: BLU and RED have been updated. RED has been restarted, BLU will be restarted on map change away from cp_badlands.

  6. A required update for Team Fortress 2 is now available. Please use hldsupdatetool to receive the update. The specific changes include: Engine Changes (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2, HL2:DM) - Added support for raw mouse input. Raw input reads directly from the mouse, bypassing Windows control panel mouse settings. This addresses issues with high DPI mice, and provides for a more reliable controller experience at various resolutions. (Windows) - Improved custom mouse acceleration. (Windows) - Updated mouse configuration UI to support raw input and acceleration; added tooltips to some of the options. (Windows) - Fixed UI tooltips so that they display correctly on first hover.   7. Poker Night at the inventory (the game that lets you win TF2 items) now has a release date: Monday, November 22.
  8. As I recall, you can request the use of one of ETF2L's official servers.
  9. The reason you play like this is because those maps are played with the Stopwatch running. That is, the first team to attack sets the stopwatch time and the second team loses if that time runs out. Therefore, each team has the opportunity to set the time in one match.

  11. According to an email I received this morning, Blizzard is currently offering 7 days of free playtime to people who are not currrent subscribers, but only if you sign up for said promotion before December 1st. Go here to claim it.
  12. Yes, in Dallas (as far as I can tell). Edit: Unrelated to the above, but I just found out you can paint the Heavy's Dealer's Visor and make it a color other than the hideous lime color it starts out.

  14. Updates to Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include: Source Engine Changes (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2, HL2:DM) Fixed a bug with voice recording intermittently not recording after playing in a level for a while (Mac) Fixed a rare client crash caused by text rendering (Mac) Updated the server browser localization files This was a client-only update, so the servers were not updated. Also, if anyone is still looking for masks to craft the Saxton Hale Mask, I have Soldier, Heavy, and Engineer masks.
  15. Aw, why would you want to do that? I suppose next you'll want to get rid of the 25% chance of every Arena round being melee only. Only on Hydro.
  16. On a side note, as I recall the rules, if both teams cannot agree on a server for the tournament, each map can be played on a different server.
  17. I was wrong, it's using whatever the default vote percentage is, which i think is 60%. Yes, he is (technically, the donators are, but we'll ignore that one for the moment), but that logic ends as soon as you reach "with the right configs on it" because I'm the one who took the time to set it up with all the proper configs on it.

  19. So, I made a few more changes to the server. For instance, there's now a votemelee command, which after 35% of people on the server type it will start an actual melee-only vote (which requires 50% to pass, although that may be bumped up to 60%). Melee Only will automatically switch off when the map changes. Note: The Melee Only plugin we're using is the one that allows other non-weapons as well... but not the Medic's healing gun. Also, I'm looking into enabling this plugin on Sudden Death once I find the @#$%^ config file for it. I also took the time to fix votescramble. The appropriate admin commands for these are also back. I also installed that Holiday plugin and turned it on for cp_harvest_event and cp_manor_event in their respective configurations... not that we play those maps very often anyway.
  20. There may be a plugin for it already. Having said that, the Horseman only works on maps that include bot navigation meshes. Currently, that's only KOTH maps and cp_manor_event, iirc. Keep in mind that Viaduct will only be played if both teams win one map, or so I recall the rules saying. Also, there are specific rules for Gravelpit regarding stickies on point A and teleporters in the BLU spawn area. All 3 servers were restarted. Highlander because I changed the map rotation, BLU and RED because I updated the HLStatsX logging plugin. It'll now log Horseman kills, despite the halloween event being over (whoops). Edit: Hmm, there's a TF2 Holidays plugin already. Just don't expect achievements to work with it, even though Halloween hats do.
  21. Speaking of end of the event, I hear that the Horseman and presents are no longer appearing on cp_manor_event. I've shut down OCRemix Private and started the Highlander server in its place.
  22. I has extra masks... and we never did complete that GRU trade did we? Steam went down on us last time, as I recall... unless you managed to get it elsewhere that is.
  23. I updated MetaMod: Source and SourceMod to their latest versions (1.8.4 and 1.3.6 respectively, from 1.8.3 and 1.3.4) this morning. This shouldn't cause any problems, but you never know...
  24. Or you could just play on manor event servers a lot and start trading duplicate masks for other masks.
  25. Brushfire: I forget, when did the Highlander server need to be back up by? Not that I couldn't just put it back up now, the Private Halloween server is dead, seeing as how everyone who wanted to do Halloween stuff has already done it.
