First of all, I rarely ever spectate. If I'm spectating, it means I'm 1. Watching specific players to see what they do or checking reading the console logs. This happened on Yukon this weekend, and only for part of the map. I'll get to this more in a moment. 2. Going AFK for a few moments (and the server will kick me when the idle time is exceeded). 3. Changing a server configuration file. This happened on mach4 last weekend. I forced a scramble twice this weekend. The first was on Granary. Immediately after the scramble, two people went spectator, unbalancing the teams. I can only assume this was to force it to team balance, so people could then (maybe) switch teams. I also forced a scramble on Yukon. This was after I reviewed the logs and noted that only one of the three people I knew to be nQa guys choose a random team (and the other two joined RED, the same team the first person auto-joined). After the scramble, I watched what happened, then left the server and began writing this post shortly after the third member switched teams to BLU (where the other two had been scrambled to). This is not the first time nQa has been called out for this. The last time I saw was when Brushfire called this out (why I remember it was on Badlands I dunno). At that time several nQa members changed their nicks... which you guys have been doing ever since*. So no, this is not the first time this has happened, and given that three of the people we have problems with are the nQa League Team group's 3 admins, no, I'm not going to stop and complain about them to themselves. * until I called you out on it.

Because they've been warned not to do it before, and tried changing their nicks around to avoid detection (apparently not realizing that our stats software lists old nicks). Yeah, but unfortunately, people complained about the gscramble plugin before, so it got disabled completely.

I couldn't tell which was one was which between the old and new ones, so I sent invites for both. Some of the reserved slots that I added had gotten removed, as another admin updated the reserved slots file (admins.cfg) without getting the latest version first. I've since fixed the problem. Now, on to another subject: The nQa guys have been team stacking again. It's harder to detect these days, but I happened to glance at Minty-Fresh's HLStatsX page just recently and saw his old -|nQa|- name in there. (The other problem people were Axem Green and Bababooie, who also used to have -|nQa|- names.) They were later joined by AH YADADADADTATATDATADATADDDAAA and spaghetti cat (also an -|nQa|-) It wouldn't be a problem if they sucked, but unfortunately, that's not true. Which resulted in the server being down to something like 5 people a moment ago. When teams are scrambled, they switch to Spectator until they can rejoin their nQa teammates rather than staying on the new team, which immediately results in teams of uneven sizes. I recommend a blanket ban on the -|nQa|- members that we run across, particularly if they are members of the nQa League Team.

FileZilla has something like this, too... although it's in the right-click menu (as View/Edit). Double-click defaults to transferring the file.

We can't without changing the password in HLStatsX as well, and I don't think I have that password.

Yeah, you must have read my post before I edited it... turns out it was defined twice, but the second one is the one that sticks (and was set to 10). Fixed that now. I've switched it to 3. We'll see if people complain about that or not. I don't have it memorized, but Fireslash and I can look it up, seeing as it's in the server.cfg. Weird, it wasn't set in the server config at all. I've bumped it up to 5 for now. We can tune it later. OK, I've moved Badlands down to an area that didn't have any 5cp maps. I've also moved Gold Rush, as the two PL maps were almost right next to each other.

First, I personally killed the crit boost back when mach4 was still in rotation. I even double-checked it a few seconds ago: Edit: I just noticed that tf_ctf_bonus_time is defined again farther down in the file. No idea when that got added... Should be fixed now. Second, I haven't really seen support for changing it to 3 caps.

My philosophy is that this is a game and if I'm not having fun, then it's not worth my time.

What do you consider little? I only have 9.4 hours as Demo, but that's partly because I suck at it.

Note to admins: Please re-download admins.cfg before updating it. I now have to search back through the thread because the 4 people I added a few days ago are gone, and I didn't notice the file I was downloading was smaller than the old version.

Starting with the Spy/Sniper update, it's not guaranteed for any specific weapon slot to be changed. As far as we know, there will be two new rocket launcher replacements and a replacement for the shovel that can bounce projectiles (including rockets) or something.

I tend to quit when the fun stops. I would quote your post right above this one but I'm lazy. Also, I might not be playing for a bit until I get my ISP to finally FIX their fscking network. I'm getting anywhere from 155-250 ping to the server at all times. I used to get a ping of 30 or so. 30!

Because double-jumping to jump over them certainly would never work. Besides, Bonk is going to last the same amount of time regardless of if they hang around or not. Bonk to distract a sentry is a suicide move, intentionally so. P.S. It's also a good way to get the Scout to taunt-kill you (if they have the Sandman and it's out).

Bonk Energy drink to get the sentry to shoot at you while your friendly, neighborhood Demo, Soldier, or Heavy kills the sentry gun? Edit: Wait, that would require teamwork and thinking... I mean, using Bonk for what it was originally intended for...

Map is now mirrored. Which is important, since if I don't mirror it, people who don't have it can't connect to the server; the server will just direct them to download it from the mirror... which won't have it. It's a 49.9MB bz2 file if you wait for the game to download it. Fireslash: If you don't have the mirror FTP account information, let me know. I seem to recall people didn't like ctf_well as much as they did cp_well, so cp ended up in rotation instead.

There's more than one listing for "Dr. Tran", but I'm assuming you're this one, because the only other one on that list that's been active recently is really Inukoblainc. Also, I just noticed that the third person who asked me for a reserved slot the other day was new to the server. I'm wondering if I should treat that request as a joke. Then again, he's only had a Steam account since the 12th... Thirdly, I reorganized the nominate list so that the maps shipped with the game now show up first (in alphabetical order), followed by the custom maps (also in alphabetical order).

You mean... this logo? Maybe this one? I hate to say it, but it looks more brownish orange than anything else. Also, wtf, a Guard Dog item? I would lol if Valve implemented this update.

er... which custom maps are we talking about again? We have quite a few custom maps uploaded to the server. Too many according to atmuh. P.S. I tried creating a new allmaps 7zip file recently, but it combined with some other programs was sending the mirror's CPU usage skyrocketing. Actually, I should rearrange the nominate menu so that the maps that come with the game are listed first... right now they appear in alphabetical order. Unfortunately, only Bahamut or one of the OCR forum admins/moderators can do that. If I had access to edit it, I would have updated it long ago. Also, we were supposed to move to some new servers at some point, but that never materialized.

You don't need to donate to get a reserved slot any more. That and I already added you when I added some others yesterday.
