  1. If you happen to catch me and want to do a run feel free to whisper me, if there aren't enough people that you know on, it is likely I can convince one or two of my friends to join in it if it's a Friday or Saturday. I don't want to guarantee you'll see a clear as a result because I'm a bit rusty, but I'm very confident in my ability to defeat JK. Can help with roar twins as well if you want, there's some tricks to the switches that a lot of people don't get especially in the final phase.
  2. JK does not regen constantly, he regens when he absorbs the mini royal jellies. Keep him poisoned (curse and fire also helps). You shouldn't rely too strongly on the wiki for information as it isn't kept up to date very well in everything. Jelly King is doeable solo, with 2, 3, or 4 players, you may just not be quite geared up or experienced enough, or just having bad luck.
  3. If you're afraid some day you'll need the mat, just don't sell all of them. Slowly selling off the surplus of what you get from playing will make you alot of coin easily, and you will still have more than enough of most the materials you need to build anything.
  4. This game is extremely playable without any real money, it's possible to be self sufficient even in the first real levels once you reach haven. (although you have to be fairly skilled to be self sufficient that early on). It's extremely easy to make money in the game as long as you are smart with your available resources, then they will grow rapidly. I know quite a few people who have never invested a dime into the game who do just fine.
  5. Here I'll just post the release notes for you, they try to preemptively answer alot of questions.
  6. I might play a little, I suck, and don't expect to get any better, but that's ok.
  7. Ehhh what? Now that I know the dinosaurs didn't get damned, I must send more. Rest assured they will be more adequately armed for your destruction.
  8. Also you don't have to pay a cent into this game if you don't want to. You can buy the microcurrency with crowns, rather than real world money. Going by what's been said on the official forum they are probably going to look into making this more clear, because too many people seem to think you HAVE to pay money to play really play this game, and that couldn't be further from the truth. Also as a newbie you really shouldn't expect to be able to beat snarby on your first try, unless you're with a group that knows what they're doing. If bringing down his defenses are "buggy" you should report the buggyness, the steam version apparently has alot of strange bugs in it that aren't showing up in the normal version.
  9. Cool story I liked Luigi's Mansion, it was cute.
  10. If you want to see an all jelly gate, there's a movement to get Coral Queen to be all Jelly. If you want to not see a billion shock and fiend in the future, I would suggest doing the all shock gate actually, because of the way minerals are spawned you're lees like to get the minerals that cause shock and fiend, and more likely to get the other colors.
  11. Yeah T1 boss is neat, but easy for anyone that isn't new, that's a good thing cause he's a T1 boss. I love his design! I finally got ahold of Vog Cub Cap, now I just need to find the myself a grey owlite shield. But I'm especially happy I found the cap, cause now I can test out weapons for the wiki editors without having to remember to change my hat out. Haven't gotten enough tokens to get any of the T1 boss gear, but I'm looking to get the shield to play with in lower tiers, might also poke at the bomb some, but the T1 gear doesn't interest me all that much. Energy prices did go up a bit, but they're extremely volatile right now as well, not really sure why. My friend (who has amassed more than 10000 energy and crowns...without paying a cent, just from playing the energy market and AH) thinks there is a tiny bit of manipulation going on when it jumps up really fast and then falls back down, but it could also just be that its full blown summer for almost everyone now so the demand is really high what with a billion kids with no money having joined recently or that's my impression from the increase in beggars over the past week.
  12. Keep in mind as well that the sealed sword series splits into the Avenger and Faust line. These weapons do split damage (Avenger does elemental/normal, Faust does shadow/normal, and may curse the enemy or you with its charged attack). Same goes for the Antigua lines, they start doing pierce/elemental or pierce/shadow. Also of note, even though the antigua line does piercing, the bullets aren't always fast enough to easily hit dodging monsters unless you already have them cornered. (if you have auto targetting off and want to make use of guns that do piercing you should turn it back on, or find the button that toggles it so when you need to auto target you can).
  13. You will be pleased with your Leviathan when you get it to that, it has a bit more range than its predecessors.
  14. All they've told us about so far is a T1 beast themed boss fight, and the addition of PVP. Maybe that'll come with a big chunk of others things too though. Although I still haven't really gotten to play around in FSC much yet, so it's not like I have nothing to do personally. Don't even have all 5* gear yet. (darn you basil!)
  15. Cool, I'll add you Negima, what times do you normally play around? I've run across a few bombers, and I think it'd be nice to get to play with one more often. (I tend to sword things, and the person I most regularly play with tends to be more of a gunner) I think it'd be fun to get to do some 3 person runs, or even if 4 of us can get together and do a full group sometime.
  16. Achievements are linked to accounts not individual knight, to get achievement #1 all you have to do is make a new knight and go to the base camp.
  17. Magnus generally hits things before they can dodge and it knocks them on their ass as well, everything nearby that wasn't hit dodges and that is the main point. I WANT the gremlins to dodge away, it lets me run up and beat up the one I just knocked over. Normally I just sword things to death, magnus only comes out if there is a butterfly in the middle of a group, large groups of gremlins/wolvers, or demos are pissing me off.
  18. I've been playing with bombs a little, I managed to get a firey vaporizer mk II recipe off the AH under 5k :3 It's kind of fun to combine with my friends bomb (poison vaporizer). I've been thinking of buying a third slot just so I can have a bomb on hand all the time, or atleast a side sword or gun. My favorite gun is my giant pewpew Callahan, but you guys already know I use that thing, I practically *need* it if I'm fighing large groups of gremlins or wolvers. I occasionally use a Volt Driver if there's going to be nothing but robots or undead to fight. I'm not really that worried about quick silvers being electrified, often they help more than they hurt when they go all pinball, now oilers. Those things are death walking. My friend is running a blackhawk as one of his side arms right now, he made it specifically for gremlins (lucky him it even came with +dmg vs gremlins medium), it does ok, normally he'll corner some unlucky mender and pewpewpew it to death. He normally runs the Cryotech though. (he has 4 equipment slots right now, he's been experimenting alot lately).
  19. http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Gate I really like the current iteration of Onyx Falcon. T2 has the jelly palace...and the first stratum has 3 out of 4 floors with an arena on them. I don't mind at all waiting at elevators until I get the level I want if I can do 3 arenas in a row :3 Also, now that I stopped being scared of the AH, I have to say I love it for more than just easily finding stuff (at a moderate markup). It's really easy to make alot of crowns just selling extra materials.
  20. I've been working over the years to overcome the desire to horde things like that, it'll still be a while before I have 100 grim tokens though. (Sitting on 78 currently)
  21. I like the sound of that (lots of grim sparks) I almost have enough to get the big expensive shadow protection trinket. Why? Well one of my armors has shadow UV on it, but also if I'm going to screw up against something it's going to be a monster that does shadow damage. >.<
  22. I really only play with my friend so I don't really have a "team". Last time I went there I wasn't even half as geared as I am now, and he was getting pummeled with lag pretty crazily so alot of the more busy areas were up to me alone to take out before he could even move forward.
  23. I think the shift in CE price on crafting is a bit rough, but I'll deal with it...overall I like this update. Now I don't need to slog through T3 repeatedly looking for certain 5* recipes. But can instead focus my mist energy on T2, to get the crowns to buy recipes, and CE needed to get geared up for Firestorm Citadel.
  24. I don't personally see this ending well, I liked the Flinstones cartoons, but never really liked the movies, and Seth MacFarlanes brand of humor doesn't really do it for me. It seems like kind of a silly endeavor at the very least I guess?
  25. Yeah Callahan is a gun (part of the magnus line), as it turns out it still has a blast radius, but I think it may be a bit smaller than it's predecessor (it's definitely more powerful, stuns more often, and has a faster cooldown between shots if you get the timing right though). Presumably the Iron Slug differs from the callahan in that it has a slightly longer range, does normal damage, and has a blast radius (possibly larger than the Callahans?). But the wiki isn't up to date, and I don't have an Iron Slug to confirm the differences. Overall I'm happy with the weapon, but am still curious to try out the Iron Slug. Although priority is on finding vog cub, and the 5* owlite shield recipe, so I'm going to save money up until I can get those.
