  1. I think the only ending that comes to mind for me is the ending of Sonic Chronicles. It was the most horrible mix of lazy assed and cliff hanger ever. It made me mad, most likely because more than halfway through the game I was only playing to get the story done with than anything else, the gameplay sucked. But nooo I don't even get a satisfied ending. Just "The End?" Sonic, And Tails making fun of the lack of an actual end and utter lack of explanation for what has been going on.
  2. I remember when my dad took me to buy an NES, I'm actually not even sure how old I was, somewhere between 2 and 3 years of age. I think I only played it once though at the time, because my hands were too small/weak (my dad had to use the d-pad while I was in charge of the jump button, we could never make it past the first or second pit). I guess he probably put it away cause I was still too young, because the next time I remember playing it was after we had moved around quite a bit before settling in Cali for a while, and I was 5 or 6 by then. Edit: Oh right I never explicitly said the game I played cause I got caught up reminiscing, Super Mario Bros was my first game since it came with the NES. And I'm starting to suddenly remember playing the Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers game by capcom quite alot sometime later. (The music on the of that game is neat though!)
  3. Oooh that's a pretty blue color they have there
  4. Easy solution, give the pokemon two movesets, one for field use only and one for battle use only or something to that effect. Or you know once you get to that part of the "plot" someone can just teach your pokemon to naturally pass such things without wasting a slot with a crap move. The thought that there MUST be HM's as a way to control a plot is just refusing to think of alternate ways to do things.
  5. They will find something to do, just to spite you guys ;p Maybe something involving the cameras some of you are frothing at the mouth over *ducks*
  6. Think about this One of Nikons older entry level DSLR's is the D40, it sports 6.1 MP. Vs your Phone's Camera, that boasts 5 MP, yet probably doesn't take pictures even half as good as the D40. It's the same for a 10MP Point and Shoot vs the very same camera. The 10 MP point and shoot has a smaller censor, which makes all those extra pixels crammed onto it pretty pointless actually, and produces worse images. Nintendo probably realizes this stuff and figures .3 MP is more than enough for the size of the censor they are using. They COULD bump it to 5 MP but it would probably make no difference or even make the image worse. I suppose they could also get a bigger censor, and bump it up to 5MP but then it would be more expensive as well, thus rising the cost of their handheld, and even then it would still be likely be wasted pixels, meaning a pointless increase in cost.
  7. Same goes for the censor, you can pack as many pixels onto something as you want but if the censor is itty bitty than it won't do jack for the image quality.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIAoOcIJeq4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPnMDpklsmw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX6qkbEvuzw I don't know how you guys are getting off saying the original DKC took itself seriously, I'm pretty sure one of the bosses in that game was a giant giggling beaver. But I am going to try to not really get into this lol. Games are games and I will play them! :3 Edit: because I'm bored and apparently still awake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wc2bNs8qbek http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_8x1TanzgQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9-mZAxPFe8
  9. I really like the design aesthetic of the website I also like the music, although a few of the tracks are really short, or atleast I'd like it if they were longer!
  10. Oh this looks cute and rather fun, I want to get it. I've never played kirby super star, only two on the gameboy and one on the NES so I don't care if it's "not like kirby" or whatever. *hides under a rock*
  11. See if you were on those other forums the arguments would be more interesting.
  12. Alot of people on other forums are speculating it's either based on New York (around the Manhattan area, pointing out alot of bridges coincide perfectly) or somewhere in China. Then the two groups fight but it's a really boring argument lol.
  13. For some reason it amuses me that the alligator thing shares a type with Hippowdon. (I guess I should call it a crocodile thing instead, crocs are cuter anyway) It's like all the things from Africa that would normally brutally maim/kill you near the water can just pop out of the ground anywhere instead. And Luxray/Zebra thing are both electric. I know it's a dumb thing to notice but I think it's neat if pointless lol.
  14. Alligator thing is cute! I'm trying to figure out what the big red thing is supposed to be other than scary though O.o Amusing commentary on the fanbase by purplekecleon
  15. ehehehe, I'm actually kindof interested in Sonic Colors.
  16. You might think typings are secondary, but if it is an electric/dragon type the competitive players are probably going to have a field day with it, even despite it likely being placed in ubers.
  17. hmmm... I am intrigued. Of course I will probably forget this exists until it actually comes out and someone reminds me.
  18. Oh I never said you specifically were insulting them or anything, just bringing it up sparked the question in my head, cause alot of people do. It would be quite interesting if the white one represented death, because in most Asian culture that is exactly what the color white represents. I hope it does, just to squash all those people going "oooh we're getting the light type!" It probably won't do and I will be sad.
  19. It's ok to not like Digimon games, they aren't very good most of the time. I never really understood why "it looks like a digimon" is used like an insult though.
  20. I'm still waiting to see the new and revolutionary they spoke of before. Oh boy it's slightly more 3D than before and the battle sprites have idle animations? (Of course I don't care if they don't really do anything new, I have a weakness for monster games heh). The starters are begining to grow on me a bit, at first I was pretty eh about them. I don't know which one I'll go with though.
  21. There's nothing really interesting about that at all, it's just showing an event shiny beast fighting zoaroark and its special ability. http://pokebeach.com/2010/05/black-white-starter-pokemon-revealed
  22. And I never stated they should or would. Don't read too much into what I say please.
  23. I personally disagree, making a game 3D doesn't make it better by default to me it has the potential to make it worse, in this case I just see 4th gen graphics in a poorly done 3D space with annoying camera changes. I recognize that this is just early stuff, and it might get better by release but no, I don't feel what we have seen is a step up from previous games. It's a step sideways, and back from how much they managed to refine the engine by the time they did HG/SS. I don't care what they do with the story as long as it doesn't obstruct me getting to the end of the game and playing in my pokemon sandbox. There is likely nothing they could do in a pokemon game storywise that would interest me unless first they made an MMO. (I don't actually care how the game comes out much cause I'm probably going to randomly get it for my birthday next year, I just feel like being a negative nancy right now I guess)
