  1. Hi, I submitted my Final Fantasy IV "Zeromus" remix to the judges panel (it was rejected) and they suggested I post here for more feedback. Here's my track: http://tindeck.com/listen/ansr The original: Basically my problem has always been production. I don't tend to notice things that lack like audio engineers do and I want to improve my skills. The judge said the lower frequencies were lacking, but IMO I can hear plenty in my headphones. I'm aware that the samples can be better for drums and strings. I made this before I had better drum samples. But audio production is really what I'm looking for advice on. Can someone please help me out? Thank you! Judge feedback: "Hey Andrew, you've got a good start here. Lots of energy, some cool interpretation with the guitar parts and drums. Unfortunately, the big problem is the execution. Some of the instruments just aren't that high-quality (drums and strings) and the sound balance is way off. The bass and lower drums sounds need to be fuller because right now, there's almost nothing happening in that frequency range. I'd suggest taking this to our Workshop forums where you can get some more detailed advice. Thanks for submitting, hope this helps you. Vinnie"
  2. SifuF - Defeat The Master https://soundcloud.com/sifuf/defeat-the-master U.S. Gold's Strider II (Journey from Darkness: Strider Returns), although widely regarded as a much poorer game than Capcom's Strider 2, had great music and memorable sound effects. This is a remix of level 1 - Forbidden Forest. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. The original track can be found here:
  3. Hi, new cover of "Robocop Theme / Robocop 3 (NES) cover":
  4. https://soundcloud.com/air3s/deadmau5-moar-ghost-n-stuff-air3s-remix the title says it all ; / few mix hiccups, but burp.
  5. Wanted to share my latest VGM with y'all. My goal was to add some of that piano power rock feel of stuff like Ben Folds to this classic NES track. With the addition of the horns, it almost took on a 3rd wave Bosstones style ska feel. Or maybe newer aquabats, with all the synths. Anyways, this was a song that I almost gave up on, and I am very glad I did not because after a lot of hard work, I think it turned out great. http://youtu.be/8KzLI7FOk0c

  11. https://soundcloud.com/soulcinema-raadude/legend-of-zelda_majoras-mask_stone-tower-days-as-told-by-ben So, It has been 3 months since I have submitted this remix to OCRemix and as I promised, here is a link to the mix. This mix I made long ago for the 25 anniversary of Legend of Zelda. I have been updating it and getting it ready to post to the site. Now that I had the tech to fix some things. If you haven't noticed there are two influences behind this idea. First was the Majora's Mask 's Stone Towers. Majora's Mask was already a spooky game. Just about every area you went to had a dead guy waiting for you. They helped you out in some way though. So somehow we all got used to the idea that getting possessed by a plant, rock or fish was okay. The Ikana Canyon was different though. Everything dead was waiting for you to join their ranks and if there was any help, it took a lot of convincing. With a sword and ocarina. So I was listening to this track a lot as I climbed this tower in my youth and its ambiance of the tortured undead. It was unsettling, but very enjoyable. I lived for that unnerving place. As luck would have it, In later years, I would be frightened by my next influence. It was already creepy without really being haunted, but Creepy Pasta would not take it as is. I was introduced to the site and was infatuated with tales of Slenderman and the like. Then I read a story titled BEN. It was wondefully scary me that a game could be haunted and could mess with you in real life, especially my Zelda. I do realize it was the Song of Healing the was played backwards on the story page if you caught that. There may be a 2.0 released in later days that will showcase a reverse SOH. Please enjoy!

  13. https://soundcloud.com/katallen-12/can-still-see-the-light After a brief hiatus and a lack of inspiration, I ended up doing an acoustic cover of this wonderful song. I'm not sure if it does the original justice, but I tried.
  14. I decided to do a jazzy sort of cover for Great Fairy Fountain. There are only three textures, but with two improvised lines I'm not sure if it seems a little fuzzy or not. What do you guys think?
  15. Hi! I made an orchestrated arrangement of "Midna's Lament" from The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. The original: My arrangement: https://soundcloud.com/elypg/midna-1 What do you think?
  16. About half a year ago, I finished working on "You were There", from the original ICO game. Someone I never even knew about, that happened to be really famous on the internet, requested me to play this particular song, so she could sing a duet with the singer I usually work with. It's a weird underlying story, but I am so glad that it all worked out this way. In case you are interested in the off-vocal arrangement, it is posted here: Although this is a completed song that I'm not going to change any time soon, you're free to comment and critique on it in any way you see fit!
  17. Hey everyone! been enjoying the community here since joining so i though i would share anyother track! https://soundcloud.com/schizophrenichousecat/incomingcall

  19. Hello everyone, I've released my third electronica album. Hope you enjoy it. https://soundcloud.com/theartinme/sets/apex
  20. I feel like the original version of this song has such a groove to it, and I wanted to keep the essence of that groove, but change up the feel of the song, making it more ambient and atmospheric. My other goal in arranging this was to pull sounds from varying time periods and making them blend together. I have the melodica, bells, and sleigh bells which can connect with the early days of folk, the mellotron and CP80 (piano sound) from 70's prog rock, the dark wave synth bass of the 80s, and then a more modern glitchy drum beat under it all. And I think it comes together really well. I know this song is well covered, but it would be great if you gave my take on it a listen. LINK HERE: http://youtu.be/9AyuFFMGWRg
  21. https://soundcloud.com/kekopro/moonlit-waltz Happy Halloween!
  22. I made a rearrangement of "The Oath" from Final Fantasy VIII the other day, It's basically an intimate and emotional re-orchestration of the piece. I'm not sure if I should submit it or not though, it's kinda short! What do you guys think about it?? Link to the song: This is also the piece I introduce myself with to this awesome community! I've been following OCR for years and I dream to post a remix on this site someday. Nice to meet you all.
