Hi everyone! Here's my remix of Space Journey 1 from Tyrian by Alexander Brandon. I really love how the original music sounds in Adlib and I wanted to build on that and stay true to the Adlib sound so I found a way to extract the original instruments from Dosbox and put them in my DAW and work with it from there and add processing, effects and all that good stuff. I broke all the rules on this one. It has two separate drops altogether with a mix of many different ideas that morph and change into what you hear. All the synths were designed from scratch using Native Instruments Komplete & Ableton Suite. All vocals are original as well and later destroyed using filters & effects. Updated 01-14-14: -made the lead melody a bit louder (thanks for the suggestion Gario!) -brought the master volume up by 1 dB Hello everyone! I've been working on this track for a few months for the Super Dr. Mario RPG remix project (here: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=42802) I feel like this track is essentially done, but this is my first VG remix and also my first time really paying a lot of attention to mixing, so I really need the feedback on that. You can see in the link the general premise of the Super Dr. Mario RPG project, but this track is supposed to serve as a "final battle" theme. This is a track I wrote for the Jempire Story OST, it's a remix of 2 tunes from Phantasy Star Online - (from the Forest in episode 1) and (from the Jungle in episode 2, also one of my favorite game tracks of all time). I'd love to hear what everyone thinks, we're planning a more proper release of the soundtrack in a month or so, so consider this a teaser until then Jempire Story is a free fan-made Spiral Knights RPG, if you want more info, I made a post about it here -

It's my birthday like as of 3 minutes ago so I'm releasing a free album First off it's FREE DOWNLOAD so keep reading. I've been working on this not so silent project for the past 3 or so months. It's about a future time period where emcees and producers struggle to keep imaginations alive in their galaxies. They are over run by an evil force and are teleported to traverse the worlds of Playstation, Sega Saturn and Nintendo 64 in order to gain more skills. Got some Mega Ran, some Richie Branson.... just a ton of people I join like 29 other rappers in this quest to save their worlds from the Imagidrains and 15 different producers. Hey everybody! I used to do a lot of different metal video game remixes on guitar back in the day. For a while now I've completely stopped and started focusing more on writing original music, but I've always had a passion for doing remixes of video game songs. After deciding to start doing video game remixes again, I've also decided to give this site a try. So far I like it a lot and will definitely try to be an active member... But anyways I have some music for you guys to listen to. They are a bunch of Pokemon songs from the old games. Some of these are pretty old so please excuse to quality of some of them. They are all pretty darn short too, the thing with Pokemon songs is they just loop over and over again. So I repeat it once, sometimes throw on a improvised solo and call it good. So check them out and tell me what you think. i've been wanting to do some nintendo remixes for several years but finally decided to start about a week ago due to the severe lack of "straight up metal" renditions of nintendo songs. so without further ado here's Batman.... i was always a fan of a nintendo band called The Advantage, mainly because of how raw and dirty their recordings always sounded. i kinda took that idea and mixed it with some technicality. i basically made a medley of each game incorporating every song from the game into one long epic melody. there isn't any actual structure to it. the idea was to basically put each section in the same order you'd hear it if playing the actual game. i know most people that do this put their own spin on the music and whatnot but i wanted to keep it identical to the actual versions, so the "remix" portion of it basically came out of the drums feel free to browse the channel! i also did a killer version of teenage mutant ninja turtles and a very mediocre version of castlevania 2. thanks everyone
