Toadofsky
So according to Interplay's web site, Tennapel (the creator of earthworm Jim) and Interplay have inked a deal to make a BRAND NEW EARTHWORM JIM GAME. Sounds like it's still in early development, but I'm ecstatic! Here's the link... http://interplay.com/
Gollgagh
I'm still bitter that they didn't finish that PSP Earthworm Jim.
JH Sounds
The EWJ mascot came up just as I read the post. Ger-roovy!
XZero
Was the last one they released the N64 one?
I-n-j-i-n
Ew.. animated TV show and film. I hope they release any potential sequel on all three big consoles. I wonder if the sequel will be downloadable too.
TheSnowStorm
About damn time. Like Gollgagh, I'm a bit upset that they did cancel the PSP project.
Brushfire
I'm still upset that 3D was such crap. And the PSP one. It has been far too long since the last legitimate EWJ game. I need to fight more ridiculous baddies!
Kureejii Lea
Hope it's more like the second game than the third. Never mind the gameplay being crap, but the surrealist humour turned into "If we stuff Elvis and cows into everything, it's funny, right? Oh, and aliens. Those are, like, weird and stuff, right?" The Pezman
Wow, and it's coming out... yesterday. I'm surprised none of us heard about it before.
JH Sounds
Wow, and it's coming out... yesterday.I'm surprised none of us heard about it before. What... what? ... Oh, the Virtual Console release...
Space Spoons
Jim was such a huge hit, I think, because we hadn't seen much like it at the time. A new Jim game would have to be something special to stand out in today's gaming market, though. Here's hoping, I guess.
Toadofsky
Someone mentioned the PSP game, honestly, when I saw it was 3-D/2-D, I didn't like it. I would honestly prefer them to do it hand drawn, like the old ones, but that probably won't happen. But hey, if they can make the game GOOD, that's all I care about. Oh, and by the way, the Virtual Console version isn't worth the time. I honestly think the Sega CD version (or PC version, they're both the same), is the ideal version of the game. Triad Orion
The news article on Interplay's website was dated back in April. So the news of the contract is technically old, but this is the first I've heard about it being confirmed. I heard plenty of rumors about TenNepal's desire to relaunch the series, but didn't know it had officially gone through. And well, that's good news. If they can make the game and animated show as funny as its originals, rock on. I'd still like Dan Castanella to do the voice of Jim, because frankly, I got so used to that after being a fan of the cartoon, it's difficult to imagine Jim as anyone else.
