Opinions on something that I do...

Recommended Posts

As far as track volume goes, you can use multiples of 6 if they're measured in decibels. A 6 dB increase or decrease represents a doubling or a halving of volume, respectively.

I ballpark all my levels to multiples of 3dB then fine-tune to intervals of 1.5dB. A good way to mix? Probably not, but I have a similar compulsion for everything to add up "evenly".

cheers.

Whenever I start messing with volume levels or knobs for other parameters, everything has to be adjusted in increments of 5.

Imagine that you're in a store, trying to fit clothes. All measurements are in increments of 5 inches.

Nothing fits.

lol?

No, facepalm.
