glasfen
Yesterday, Game Informer posted an article on the Pilotwings franchise, trying to entice Nintendo to produce a Wii generation version. At the very end, they mention the style of music which should be included in a new rendition of the series, highlighting OCR's very own (and only Pilotwings mix) Midnight Altitude. Congrats for the exposure, jcd! Here's a link to the article.

Eino Keskitalo
Nice catch - too bad they don't link to OCR! --Eino
Toadofsky
I love that song, and I really liked the article. I've been waiting for a new Pilotwings, c'mon Nintendo, what gives? I need to fly a gyrocopter with Goose again!!! Hmm, maybe E3 will show or say something about it.
Strike911
I'm being completely honest here... When I'm feeling down, just a few minutes of Pilotwings is enough to put me in a good mood. Specifically when playing as birdman. Man, and if there is one franchise that I think would be perfect for the Wii, it's Pilotwings. I enjoyed the SNES version, but the N64 version had a lot of style going for it that the original lacked. Did Pilotwings sell well on the N64? Hy Bound
Didn't Scott Peeples do a remix of that song on here? I could have sworn he did. :-/ Anyway, thats pretty cool, i remember Pilotwings being a pretty cool N64 game, i'd like to see it on the wii... I may actually play my wii now. JH Sounds
Didn't Scott Peeples do a remix of that song on here? I could have sworn he did. :-/ Yeah, "Birdman ClearSkies". It got removed, but it can be found here: http://www.doulifee.com/Storage/OC_Removed/
NNY
That's probably one of my favorite remixes. It's too bad Nintendo didn't buy Paradigm from THQ. They coulda done something great.
Liontamer
I tweeted about it. Thanks! http://twitter.com/ocremix/status/1447118905
glasfen
Did Pilotwings sell well on the N64? 1.12 million copies. I don't know how good that is. It seems to be on the low end for N64 games (using the same site), but so are a few of my other favorites! And thanks, Liontamer!
Sole Signal
Cool stuff, man. I loved Pilotwings and its soundtrack back in the day, especially the Bird Man, Hang Glider, and Gyrocopter themes.
KyleJCrb
Definitely wouldn't mind a Pilotwings revival. The Birdman theme is one of my top favorite game soundtrack moments of all time. Such a relaxing tune.

jcd
Hey thanks all (esp. glasfen and LionTamer)! I was pleased to be asked to be a part of the article. I was assuming they were also going to link to OCR, but I guess not. I've been coming to OCR for years. I'm so happy to be a part of the community, OCR is the place to be.
