Bahamut
So I guess we should start with a meeting place - Bardic's suggestion work?
OmegaDonut
Conveniently enough, the Pokemon Video Game Championship Nationals tournament is being held the 27th-28th in St. Louis, and I have free airfare\hotel there for winning one of the regionals. It's been a while since I've been involved in anything OCR-related, but I'd like to meet up with a few people in the evening.
Eulogic
man, i hate driving around downtown, but i guess there's no way around it
BardicKnowledge
Eulogic, I hate it as well Also, would people be up for minigolf somewhere? I'm on the east side of the river, and know of good places in Collinsville and O'Fallon.
Newt
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the zoo is better for meeting than union station- only because I'm not sure I want to leave my car in that part of town.. As far as mini-golf, isn't SAFT better than the places on our side of the river, bardic? As a bonus, the arcade there is nicer as well.. assuming they're still in business? EDIT: I suppose union station could work- I could just take the metro into the city.

Union Station has things to do while we wait for people, while the zoo sucks and is hot. Forgot about SAFT though -- that's probably the better idea. Good mini-golf there, and Beatmania / DDR. Bahamut
I was wondering also whether people were interested in having a BBQ the next day as well - I'd certainly be up for it if someone has all of the stuff needed to barbeque or know of a place we could have one. I'm certainly up for minigolfing & seeing Transformers 2 though.
BardicKnowledge
Looked into the mini-golf course in Fenton, which apparently has THREE courses now, and a "huge 80+ game arcade." Sounds like our type of place

Bahamut
So some of us talked this over - how does Union Station at 1 pm sound? Newt & I might be a little late just as an advance warning, but Bardic has both of our numbers anyway. The only set-in-stone plan we were thinking was seeing Transformers 2 at an 8:15 showing - I think they know the theater.
BardicKnowledge
For those local folks, said theater is Ronnie's, the Wehrenberg theater. In any case, I leaving for STL tomorrow morning -- reach me via cell phone if people need to reach me for some reason.
Bahamut
Is there a particular area of Union Station we should meet at?
BardicKnowledge
There's an archway that has a sign next to it about a whispering archway or something like that -- you can hear someone whispering into the wall on the other side. It's easier to find than I'm making it sound... Plan on meeting there, unless newt has a better idea.
Bahamut
Bumping this up - heading down to St. Louis soon, hope you people show up!

BardicKnowledge
We were planning on meeting today, Eulogic (and others interested). I'll be at Union Station close to 1:00 (an hour from this moment!) with my wife, Addie -- wearing a green t-shirt. Newt and Bahamut should be close behind. Where we go from there will depend on how many people show up...
Moseph
So are you people still going to be around tomorrow, or should I attempt to track you down today?
Eulogic
I can't come tonight. Friday is D&D night. I probably can't come tomorrow either. My fiancée is getting in after being in DC for a week. Sunday should be good though.
Atomic Dog
I'll be there. Meet me at the arch. Wear a flower.

Bahamut
Nope...apparently people didn't pay attention to the thread that much? In any case, Bardic, his wife, Newt, and I hung out over the weekend in the area.
