St. Louis Meetup! (June 27 - 28?)

Conveniently enough, the Pokemon Video Game Championship Nationals tournament is being held the 27th-28th in St. Louis, and I have free airfare\hotel there for winning one of the regionals. It's been a while since I've been involved in anything OCR-related, but I'd like to meet up with a few people in the evening.

Also, would people be up for minigolf somewhere? I'm on the east side of the river, and know of good places in Collinsville and O'Fallon.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the zoo is better for meeting than union station- only because I'm not sure I want to leave my car in that part of town..

As far as mini-golf, isn't SAFT better than the places on our side of the river, bardic? As a bonus, the arcade there is nicer as well.. assuming they're still in business?

Union Station has things to do while we wait for people, while the zoo sucks and is hot. Forgot about SAFT though -- that's probably the better idea. Good mini-golf there, and Beatmania / DDR.

I was wondering also whether people were interested in having a BBQ the next day as well - I'd certainly be up for it if someone has all of the stuff needed to barbeque or know of a place we could have one.

I'm certainly up for minigolfing & seeing Transformers 2 though.

Looked into the mini-golf course in Fenton, which apparently has THREE courses now, and a "huge 80+ game arcade." Sounds like our type of place

So some of us talked this over - how does Union Station at 1 pm sound? Newt & I might be a little late just as an advance warning, but Bardic has both of our numbers anyway. The only set-in-stone plan we were thinking was seeing Transformers 2 at an 8:15 showing - I think they know the theater.

There's an archway that has a sign next to it about a whispering archway or something like that -- you can hear someone whispering into the wall on the other side. It's easier to find than I'm making it sound...
