Flare4War
Couple years back I got a job where I had to wake up really early in the morning (4:30 sometimes earlier) for about 7 months straight. I also resorted to OCR music to cheer me up and withdraw some of the monotony out of it all from day to day. I switched it up a lot at the time but here are some I really enjoyed waking up to: Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney This Feeling by OA http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01870/ Pictionary Person Place or Groove by The The Orichalcon http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01548/ Earthworm Jim Acrophobia by about:blank http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01568/ Illusions of Gaia Will's Journey by Wintermute http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR00894/ Secret of Evermore A Whisper and a Shadow by DarkeSword http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01343/ Link's Awakening Clash At the Mountains by Zircon http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01426/ Seiken Densetsu 3 Within The Fable by Destiny http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01103/ Seiken Densetsu 3 Electrion by FIDGAF and The Orichalcon http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01237/ I concluded that waking up to up tempo remixes that are still peaceful sets the best mood for me in the morning. You need something that works it's way into some goodies and gives you a moment to yawn and stretch not something that makes you want to jump out of bed and kick your speakers in because you was still tired. When I tried really fast paced heavier mixes I often would just end up turning the volume way way down or turning it off all together. The remixes above are tried and true and are sure to put you in a good early morning mood. Hope that helps and good luck Army brat.
tidus9605605
I used that as my alarm for a few months. Unfortunately, as much as I loved the song, in those few months hearing it as my "I don't want to get up but I'm going to" tone really got to me psychologically. Soon the song was connected to forcing myself to get up in the morning and putting me in a bad mood when I heard it. That whole, "you get sick of your alarm tone" definitely applies to me.In the same light, however, I suppose you can say I've used a lot of the upbeat, jolty stuff such as: "Catapult" ~ Beatdrop "Wicked Six" ~ Sixto Sounds "Scrambled Eggman" ~ BrainCells, Snappleman "Strike of the Devil's Axes" ~ CarboHydroM, LuIzA Among other video game songs such as the guitar version of "The True Mirror" from Baten Kaitos. In retrospect, the nature of those songs probably fueled my grumpiness when I woke up. Maybe I should try and stick with more gradual approaches... Yeah same with me, the best resolution I found was to have multiple songs and change them every day or so so I don't get bored of one single song. I just need to expand the list a bit. K.B.
That whole, "you get sick of your alarm tone" definitely applies to me. Hear that. I went through several songs in that same manner. But I figured 'what the hell, the guy wants ocr recommendations, and I'd get a kick out of perusing my collection and seeing which ones might work, so let's do this'. Listener beware though, for sure. I quit the mp3-alarm deal once my computer got placed in a different room (read: once I got out of college and finally had more than one room), but prior to that I eventually settled on a song that I could wake up to everyday: . Getting rousted by such absurdity made it impossible to do anything but grin.Hope that helps and good luck Army brat. I am/was an Army brat. tidus is in the Army. Big difference. Subz1987
I've never woken up to songs, but I've had OC ReMix songs playing in my head when I woke up. They're usually songs that I haven't listened in a while and were trapped somewhere deep in my mind.

K.B.
I was correcting you so you wouldn't again unintentionally insult someone in the armed forces by calling that person a brat. tidus is earning his. I was simply born. I honestly don't know how you read that how you did.
Sir_Snooze
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSmDgjNnfzM Good morning tune. Gets you in the mood for dealing with crap. I put this on before important days, like work shifts and stuff. It does kinda fuck up the rest of your day, though - I don't have good days when Kaptain K. Rool is what rouses me. Otherwise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43Gf-_3hmHs For those awesome mornings when you have nothing to do for the entire day. It's great to just spend all seven minutes of the song on the simple act of getting out of bed. Scared the shit out of my roommate with this one. If you've played the game, these are for Mira-types of days. If not...this is just for those really random wake-ups. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snWNfXZsQOE The King of wake-up tunes. It's the most alarming thing I have. If this doesn't rouse me, I'm probably dead.
