ellywu2
Hello everyone, A very, very early and short clip of a new song I am working on - in the style of dubstep, which if you haven't heard before (really?) sounds like a bunch of computers being sick. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/ellywu2/gato-dubstep
Rockos
Nice start. Need bass because this is wip. I SAID NEED BASS !!!
darkbrandflake11
Although this is very early, I really enjoyed this. I do like the start of the song with a subtle treble and mid chiptune only. Keep up the good work. It would be really nice later with some pumping compression and maybe even side-chaining.
BlackPanther
Man, please put this at the top of your priority list of songs to finish, lol. If it continues with that same flavor of that 36 seconds that I heard, I will love this forever!
Damashii!!
clearly, there's been an increase of something in the water, because the proportion of dope tracks has increased tremendously lately. or this is a community-wide response to technomanga syndrome. timaeus222
Skrillex-style Dubstep. The kind of dubstep that some listeners might diss. It might help if you lower the resonance on those wubs a little bit and use less pitch-rising wubs. You might find some inspiration for that here. Chimpazilla
Needs more sub bass. Needs wilder drum patterns. Needs to be finished. (gawd I love dubstep like this, want to learn to make it myself)
OneUp
1. Drop the "BASS" voice clip, it (or similar) is widely over-used. Don't be cliché, use your imagination. 2. Drums need to be much heavier. 3. Moar BASS. Edited August 9, 2013 by OneUp
ellywu2
Thanks for the comments guys - I've updated. Fleshed out some more. It still needs more bass, and I haven't even begun to master (which includes sidechaining and such).
timaeus222
Thanks for the comments guys - I've updated. Fleshed out some more. It still needs more bass, and I haven't even begun to master (which includes sidechaining and such). Just a thought: "sidechaining and such" is mixing, and mastering is mainly mixing done on the Master track or on a finished rendered song. Rockos
Very neat Stuff! I love. The only thing I could say is the melody is lost a bit form 1:10 to 1:45. But that's okay with me since it's pwning everything
timaeus222
Like I said before, you need to turn down the resonances. Still hearing it. 1:10 - 1:45. And yes, the melody gets lost there. It's too quiet, and the wobbles have too much midrange.
ellywu2
I did, of course, mean mixing, rather than mastering!
