The Damned Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/pokemon-orchestral-concert-tour-announced/ So far, it's just in Washington, DC and Philadelphia, but at least it's a start! More venues are stated as coming, so there's a chance it will be in and/or near a city you live in! I've been waiting for something like this for years, ever since I went to my first Video Games Live! concert. I know it's expensive and difficult, but I really do wish more games could do these kinds of performances more. The Zelda 25th concert was fucking amazing, and that's not even my favorite series. Chernabogue Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Sounds ultra cool. I hope they'll release an album out of it. Quote
Garrett Williamson Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I'm just imagining a chamber choir singing in opera style: "POKEMON, GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL" Quote

zircon Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 From Chad Seiter's announcement post: The show is turning out awesome - we have a large 80+ piece orchestra, and I've been working on 80 minutes of new arrangements, putting the Pokémon music into an epic symphonic Hollywood context. The show will be conducted by my wife, Susie Seiter - who has also painstakingly orchestrated all the music. It will also feature innovative percussive and electronic accompaniment by Andrew Aversa. I look forward to sharing this labor of love with you all as it develops. There will be some other cool surprises. Quote
Garrett Williamson Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 From Chad Seiter's announcement post: Sexy. /10char Quote

Nabeel Ansari Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Does anyone want to buy my ticket? It costs $27 for a lawn seat after tax and stuff and I'll let it go for $20. It's for the Philadelphia event on Sept. 19th. I can't go anymore because I won't be in Philly. Quote
zircon Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Take it from me, this show is going to be AWWWWESSSSOOOOOMMMMMEEEE Quote
