Theowne
Basically, is there a program that can, say, record the final output of your soundcard? THe reason would be something like recording music from a DOS game as a .wav, etc. ANd to provide a source tune for DOS games with no MIDI's available when submitting. OverCoat
Creative soundcards have a "What u hear" function. Other brands MIGHT have somethign similar but I rnrdqa0t8teaeya anyway turn it on and start recording it's really nifty

Best thing I can suggest you, boot in MS-DOS mode and record from the line output of your soundcard to a digital recorder, and then copy the recordings to your computer when in XP mode. Using either DOSBox (as Overcoat said) or VDMSsound (which is what I use), you can. Also I have an Audiophile 24/96, so the Creative thing won't work. Dafydd
But don't most soundcards allow you to enter the volume panel and assign the recording input to "wave"? If not, maybe you can plug the output sound back into the soundcard's mic or line in input connector. I'm not sure that's a good idea though. Majin GeoDooD
Also I have an Audiophile 24/96, so the Creative thing won't work. Just run an RCA from the outs to the ins and set a program to record with the card. Obviously you won't be able to hear what's being played while recording, but that can be fixed by using a mixer along with it.
