That first transition around the 40 second mark was really good.  I really enjoyed the low-key percussion in this.  My favorite part of the remix is around 2:12, that pause that leaps into the best part of the original tune IMO.  You nailed the groove of the original and gave it your own spin.  Fantastic job! :)

Giving this tune a bit of new age, choir-filled tune-up was neat, as it felt like an extension of the original, kinda like some of the tracks from the Returns games with some returning tracks. Agreed with CJ, that pause and following section of the mix was the best. Really good work here.
