Less Ashamed Of Self
At least it was just a guitar, a classic phallic symbol, and not just some random acronym. That makes it stick out so much worse.
The Unsung Plumber
I don't give a damn what anybody says, Prince rocked that fucking half time show. Way better than the Rolling Stones last year. The poeple enjoyed Prince's show more. Yeah, seeing Mick Jagger up there in a belly shirt trying to rock out was disturbing. Blake
Quoted for Emphasis.O_O And after we got over the disturbance, all ten of us fell asleep for about 10 minutes because of massive boredness.
Jazzmaster
Ok, well that's cool. Hardly a problem seeing some old has-been 60s sex symbol jumping around showing off his wrinkles (not creepy), but once you have a guitar behind a curtain... That's when our lives are truly in danger.
Maco70
that post reminded me of the episode of harvey birdman, with the guitars. hahaha.
The Vagrance
I just wish whoever organizes next year's halftime show grows some testicles and books someone decent, indie rock is hot as fire right now, booking the Shins or Bloc Party or Deathcab or Modest Mouse or any indie act that's been in the mainstream would be sweet. Or maybe even a rapper, Rakim's stuff is pretty harmless for the most part, maybe Beastie Boys because a lot of their stuff isn't too offensive, maybe even Luda or someone like that. JJT
Prince has remained a pretty good artist in my opinion. Unlike a lot of old timers who tends to recycle their music and go to tour to get money. He's what Michael Jackson would've been if he didn't go crazy. From a Chris Rock monologue about MJ's pedophilia: "Remember back in the 80's when everyone was arguing over who was better, Michael Jackson or Prince. Prince won." If they got The Shins on the next superbowl halftime, I might actually care enought to watch it.

Justin Timberlake! He could do SexyBack and...Oh wait. But the fact that CBS did the Super Bowl this year meant that they were under a lot of scrutiny. Even Prince was a bit of a risk, IMO, and obviously some people interpreted it through that magnifying glass. I don't think this has hurt Prince's career at all, though; I've heard people say he was the best part of that game.
