Bigfoot Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 http://www.wowinsider.com/2007/12/05/boy-attacked-by-moose-feigns-death-thanks-wow/ I remember seeing cartoons where the character would feign death to a bear. I wonder if that actually works for a bear. I doubt anyone is willing to try, haha. I guess at least we know it works against moose haha. Quote
Arek the Absolute Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 I wonder if he was level thirty yet, cause if he wasn't, then the boy hacked to use that skill. Stupid WoW jokes aside, all I really can say to this article is "wow". Quote

Bigfoot Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 Call Jack Thompson: Violent videogames cause one Moose to not be violent. I'm still waiting on a story where a boy saves his family from a robber because a game trained him to use a gun. Quote
SomeCrazyGuy Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Heh, I instantly thought of the credit sequence to the Holy Grail... And of course, they had a link to a video of those credits. lolz (I haven't played WoW in a while, and even then, I only had low-level characters (15 Mage, 10 Preist, 5 Paladin), so I don't know much about the game.) Skummel Maske Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 According to the story, the moose hit him in the back, his backpack taking most of the impact. The blow still knocked him to the ground, and he lay there not moving until the moose left. So it wasn't really a *drop to the ground playing dead* kind of feign like you see in WoW.. Quote
BardicKnowledge Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Thanks for ending my evening with a laugh, Bigfoot -- I just finished a massive term paper and wasn't in a good mood until just now. Quote
Oddllama Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I remember seeing cartoons where the character would feign death to a bear. I wonder if that actually works for a bear. I believe it is alright to do with Grizzlies/Brown bears, but with Black bears, make yourself big (join hands upward with any companions) and make noise, whilstle, yell "I am not a moose!" and it'll keep 'em away. Don't leave food around your campsites, either! Quote
