I remember seeing cartoons where the character would feign death to a bear. I wonder if that actually works for a bear. I doubt anyone is willing to try, haha. I guess at least we know it works against moose haha.

(I haven't played WoW in a while, and even then, I only had low-level characters (15 Mage, 10 Preist, 5 Paladin), so I don't know much about the game.)

According to the story, the moose hit him in the back, his backpack taking most of the impact. The blow still knocked him to the ground, and he lay there not moving until the moose left. So it wasn't really a *drop to the ground playing dead* kind of feign like you see in WoW..

I believe it is alright to do with Grizzlies/Brown bears, but with Black bears, make yourself big (join hands upward with any companions) and make noise, whilstle, yell "I am not a moose!" and it'll keep 'em away. Don't leave food around your campsites, either!
