  1. Let me start by saying, I'm not very good at speaking (be it in person or through forums like this) and I've always looked up to this site and the many amazing musicians and composers on here. Now, when I was in high school I could produce track after track, whether I was just playing around with new sounds and samples or following sudden inspiration. But lately I can't do anything. I feel like I've lost my brain and have tried to absorb all the info I can, but I just can't find the spark. I don't know what to do and it's frustrating me to no end. Please excuse me if I sound whiny or weird but I need some kind of advice.
  2. If you have any questions about ableton, I use it as well so feel free to ask! Koan Sounds also makes some really swanky glitch hop, so they might be worth a listen.

  3. I've been using Ableton Live 9.blerdabler and was wondering if there are some tutorials or advice on this genre. Thanks in advance
  4. Thanks for the advice and the videos were a huge help
  5. Is there more? I do mean the rhythm because I was wondering if it's a swing kind of thing but, because you brought it up, is there more to this that I'm no looking into.
  6. The kind of style I'm looking for is here: and here: would appreciate some advice.
  7. This seems interesting and I'll put all hands on deck, so to speak, once I finish what I gotta do now.
  8. I've kicked around ideas here and there but I can't for the life of me think of a remix for Spiral Mountain. I'm handing it off to whomever wants it, but will give it another go if deemed necessary.
  9. Going back through my tracks I seem to find a "quiet corner alone" style going on and I think I might have picked it up from Nosaj Thing's " " but that's just a thought.
  10. Are there any tracks that need doing? If so I'll gladly lend some of whatever I have to this.
  11. Not bad mate, not bad at all. To start I like the intro and the build up at 0.50. I'm not a huge fan of the chiptune breakdown at 0.39 as it kinda sounds bland. To be honest I didn't even notice the piano, until timeaus pointed it out and it could use a bit of a tweak. All in all you got a nice sound goin, but you've got a bit of work to do. If it makes you feel better it's far better than my first mix. ^V^
  12. Ok this time around I got rid of the excessive panning (there's some there it just not as excessive as my past mixes) I added more interest and finally made trip hop, also if anyone can do a nice rap to this then this would be complete. PM if interested. http://tindeck.com/listen/vlrq
