  1. You want to use reverb as a send, not an insert. Create a track that has your reverb set to 100% wet, 0% dry and send your tracks to it. The higher the send level, the more reverb you get. Mic positions are great because you get the hall or scoring stages natural reflections, but if you're using different libraries, they won't sound as cohesive because they sound like they're in different places because they are. Which, for achieving acoustic realism across the mix, is not what you want

  2. Yes. Haven't you? You buy the console, usually at launch, and then pick up only one game for it. As the console gets more games for it, you stick to that one launch title and use it strictly as a metric for the quality of games, even ones that come out years later. This provides you an unalterable opinion about the entire industry based upon said one game on said one system, giving you the right you to comment on everything video game discussion, including stuff you have never even so much as looked at, let alone played. That's how it works, bleck. You should know this by now.

"I don't think that [one game] is worth the whole console" is a surprisingly common sentence in discussions about a video game console that will, in fact, have multiple video games like have you people just been buying one game for one console and then putting it away forever

  4. @Mordi Oh man, I love this remix so much, I came back to listen to it while I'm doing homework. Helps calm me down, especially with the stress of college coming soon and having to deal with that.

  5. I'll second the recommendation for EWQL. I have the Platinum Plus version, but the Silver or Gold version should be all you need. Really high quality samples, and pretty easy to make a very realistic sound.

  6. The sound library with the best bang for your buck would be East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Silver priced at $200.
