Hi everybody! Here is the latest arrangement uploaded to YouTube - a Piano arrangement of Saria's Song from Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time by Koji Kondo. This is a piece that has been requested in the past, and I felt that the piece would sound good with a flowing, lyrical, but constantly changing background over which the melody plays out repeatedly. Enjoy!

Hey guys, maybe some of you guys know of this page already, but I recently discovered Vienna Symphonic Library's Instrumentology section here https://www.vsl.co.at/en/Academy/Instrumentology I often compose using at least somewhat of an Orchestral profile (not necessarily well lol) and one of the things I can struggle with is the roles of the instruments in the orchestra. My background is choir mostly so this to me has been a great help. Particularly helpful though is the sound combinations section for each instrument. I'm mostly familiar enough with the instruments individually but combinations I highly struggle with. I hope maybe some of you guys can find use in this as well! I'll probably never own their library (nor do I need it really) but what a heck of a resource. Be curious to see if it helps anyone else as well.

Well dang! That is really fantastic. Horns are so hard to get right with VSTs, so you definitely nailed it there!

There's actually nothing live here, it's all VSTs. I appreciate the feedaback, I'll take a second look at the piano vst that was in use here. Totally agreed on the bass guitar, personally I think that's the biggest problem in retrospect. Thanks for listening!

Yo....this maybe the ONLY orchestral rendition of her theme but DUDE you made it feel like ending credit of a movie good! However the piano and some of the drums sound liek they are VERY far away from the mic, was that intentional?!
