  2. The People's Remix Competition 443 PRCv19-05 Hello everyone and Welcome to the People's Remix Competition! In PRC441 it was both TheVideoGamer and APZX who claimed victory. So both got to pick a source for this round, a multi source round. Source 1: Source 1: Dolucky No Puzzle Tour (Super Famicon) - Final Battle https://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/PRC443_Dolucky_no_Puzzle_Tour_94_-_Final_Battle.mid Source 2: Source 2: Terranigma (SNES) - Flight https://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/PRC443_TN_-_Flight.mid https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terranigma https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC443 The deadline is Wednesday April 6th 2022 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT), check the link https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC443 for the exact time left. Make sure that the song is uploaded to ThaSauce or that there’s a download link posted in this thread. (+ Two days) You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that if you use ThaSauce, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix if you use ThaSauce. Of course you can also upload it somewhere else and put a download link in this thread. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted in this thread. To participate it is enough to remix one of the sources. Remixing both in one song is encouraged and will be rewarded with a 3 point bonus. TheVideoGamer and APZX can take part by remixing the source selected by the other or remixing both in one song. They only have a double vote if they don't participate (or mix only their own source). Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they receive a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC445. You can find the full rules list at this page as well. GOOD LUCK! PRC Home Page

  3. Welcome to the voting stage The mixing stage is over. This round has 3 songs and a bonus song by TheVideoGamer. The following people compete against each other: Hleet Wassup Thunder Souperion To vote, do the following: Visit https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC442 and listen to all the entries Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen or click PM. Fill in the entries from first to third in the ThaSauce form or fill in your top 3. State a reasoning for it. Participants are encouraged to vote and leave feedback. They get a 3 point bonus, but they are not allowed to vote for their own track. They only need to fill in their top two. Always look in this thread to find out who's the winner of the round after the voting stage instead of only looking at ThaSauce for the results. TheVideoGamer has a vote that counts twice. You have until Monday March 28th 2022 10:59 AM ThaSauce time (11:00 UTC, 12:00 GMT) to vote. If you vote by PM make sure that your top 3 is clear. I prefer something like this: (To) (Subject) PRC ## Vote (Message): 1: (remixer A ) 2: (remixer B ) 3: (remixer C ) (reasoning)

  4. Agree with @HarlemHeat360 the legato, dynamics, and articulations are missing from this arrangement. It could be your orchestral VST but the samples are also pretty dry. I don’t have much experience with orchestral production (mainly use strings and horns as pads in the background) but you need to be automating a lot when it comes to orchestral work, especially when it comes to the dynamics and legato to add realism. Christian Henson is a good resource for working with orchestra midi It sucks a decent orchestral VST is like $500+ but I’d recommend getting a Spitfire Audio bundle at some point. Keep at it!

  5. I'm curious about the vsts and maybe even the DAW you use. I think sometimes I hear an idea that may actually work well but maybe the lack of legato impedes the sound. One way you can kinda fake it is to start overlapping sustains and really play around with them so it seems like they transition smoothly. They could just be a bit too dry too given their quality and that makes them pop out too much.
