  1. Well, thanks for the belittling... I had actually known for the most part what I was doing... I think the most trouble for me was that at the time, my brother and I were cooperatively playing the game. Though he always told me not to play the game without him, he had no problem doing the opposite on his own time... Without the guide, without any prior knowledge of even such a thing as Anti-Zombie even existing, let alone what items were needed to add them to armor, or even how to do it... I guess being handed the paddle accompanied by a "you try beating her" doesn't work too well... Hmm... I'll have to play through that game again some time. Hehe, thanks for bringing Anti-Zombie to my attention, among other things... though I'm sure there was a better way As far as Masa and Mune... the first time I took those guys on I didn't know what to expect and got slightly thrashed... the second time was complete and utter obliteration of those two... Omnidragon... I can't remember what fighting him was like... yet another of those games I had a struggle knowing completely about because of my brother... hmm... well, I've never liked fighting bosses with the whole elemental shield change spell... it just sucks... Though I did enjoy killing that one mage on top of the Fanatics' Tower in FFVI - with four people who knew Ultima, it being a non-elemental spell, and having Life3 was fun - ... Chrono Cross... Another game I need to play through again...

  4. Definitely, the hardest boss for me would have to be *SPOILER* Yunalesca from Final Fantasy X... her damn triple casting Zombie, Life, then blast, blast, blast, blast... it was like, gawd! I have triple the people you have, and I get one attack for one of your seven! This is the Medusa looking version, that is... I think... not sure. She was tougher than the last three bosses... Jecht, Seymour, and even Yu Yevon... those three you could figure out and take down... Yunalesca was just a bitch, hehe. *SPOILER END* Though the Spoiler warning's don't exactly work too well, as no one can just stop reading in the middle of a post... oh well, sorry for anyone...
  5. kLuTz's works always knock me on my butt... they are so different from the original themes, and yet so reminiscent (sp.? on this word for the second time today?)... And I definitely love the kLuTzEy variations (sorry for lack of a better trademark term)... I rank this up there with Chopin's "Revolutionary" - known as Kakumei to DDRMax2 players. BTW... I know most pianists have their own variation techniques, but yours sounds close to Mozart... is it modeled after his variation technique?
  6. I have always liked Oriental culture... their samurai codes of honor, the music, styles, arts, their deliciously tempting food *mouth waters*... But this is excellent... a very good representation of Wutai in FFVII... and I may sound like a n00b when I have no idea what to look for in Schala... oh wait, there it is... Good job! Keep it up! CHINESE FOOD! *runs to the next forum*
  7. Wow, another strange one... this has a serious psychotic feel to it, but there's also that sense that something big is about to come out of its hole and kick your ass... I likes! Crazy, demented, strange, urgent, and ominous... Keep it up!
  8. Wow... this mix and psychotically contradictory... Usually Terra's theme is an epic, heartbreaking, spirit-soaring song, and its remixes embody that same feel... this has a weird sense of urgency topped off with a light-hearted skip-through-the-woods theme... very strange... but I like it! Keep it up!
  9. Hmm... interesting Battle Theme take... However, despite my few new excursions into the jazzy area (thanks to JigginJonT), I don't think this even fits with jazz too well. It's too fast for jazz, and the jazz is too relaxing for an adrenaline-pumping song... Now I can see where this would be good, especially to others who appreciate this branch even more than I do... But as far as I go... not my personal cup of tea... Good work, though I can't dig it like others... Keep composing!
  10. Excellent work, Maestrodeclure. The beginning, though shaky, is comfortably reminiscent (sp.?) of waterdrops falling on the lake surface. Keep it up!
  11. Damn, Protricity, you amaze me with your versatility... I like to think of myself as ecclectic as far as listening goes, but you seem to be just... like... godlike with all forms of music... though I haven't heard something from rap/reggae from you... which is just FINE! (No offense to those who like said genres, of course... I just don't) Keep it up!
  12. Hmm... Quite original... I think I like it... Portrays the frustrating atmosphere of Cid in the Factory so well (especially the ending)... gotta love it! Did anyone else notice that this mix loops almost perfectly, what with the dying of the factory at the end, and its revival at the beginning? Neat stuff!
  13. I must begin with an often-heard "I love OCRemix!" I've been "lurking" about here for a while, and recently (September, as you can see to the left) registered as a member here. Needless to say, this site is a blast, and I've finally got into the swing of things to start requesting ReMixes of music I like, as you will see on the Request forum... When djpretzel said this site was originally made to combine... I hate the term "old"... Game music of the past with new, modern techniques, and to expand the musical horizons of musicians kept herein, I think he may have forgotten the impact of these music interpretations upon the general viewing public... Now I am not an ordinary teenager (15, as a matter of fact *cringes as the expected people stop listening immediately at the sound of his age*), but I have never had too strong of a passion for jazz. I mainly orient my tastes around rock (classic and modern), pop, electronica, classical orchestra, and other genres. This song, I believe, puts a few jazzy songs into a certain perspective for me, personally, and may open me up to future jazz songs. JigginJonT (I feel abbreviated names for people to be looked up to as demeaning, no offense to those who don't, or feel the opposite), this is an awesome remix from an awesome game. Keep up the good work, and draw more people... maybe even those "young whippersnappers" the youth are often called... into your circle of music... And that goes for all of you here!
  14. Damn, man... Another excellent kLuTz mix... The piano does tell the tale, friends... Keep it up!
  15. *sniff* well, now that I'm thoroughly depressed... Anyway, Kaijin, this is an awesome Remix. I have played the game and seen Rydia, and though I cannot remember her actual original theme per se... I can imagine if a non-FF lover could mistake this for her's... it fits the child-like innocence that the character of Rydia had, somewhat even in her adulthood. Excellent work on not only getting a good mix, but fitting the mix to a character like matching puzzle pieces. If anyone finds anything wrong with this (someone said a drum scratch? What??), you are TOO DAMN PICKY!! ~Falcis Umbrae~ "The reaper is always a step behind me..." ~ Shadow, FFVI
  16. Oh my god... This is jaw-dropping... There is definite insanity here, yes, yes... um... yes... and um... DAMN! I love the orchestral feel, mixed with the whole insane techno feel in between orchestral pieces, giving this mix a feel of the original with a little shock of ... DAMN! To spaz it up! That was cool! And I have no problem with it being that long... it doesn't feel like it... KUDOS! KEEP IT UP! ~Falcis Umbrae~
  17. I like what you've done with his theme, very innovatively spooky and ominous, but I don't like the lack of the action-packed... umm... ass-kicking part of the original song... I think it should be around 0'41" ish? just after the big buildup? That is what makes Magus's song incredibly awesome in my book, is the very intense, epic, battle music. This is, however, like... Definitely that sort of atmosphere... I've played freaky remixes on Halloween... it freaked ME out! ~Falcis Umbrae~
  18. kLuTz... I must say, you are a master of the piano, whether with a technoish backup, or simply by itself... it is amazing the things you pull off... keep up the good work, and make some more, dammit! I particularly like the innovated variations you put in the parts at 2'27" and 2'41"... That's a Mozart-type technique, correct? Anyways, keep up the good work *attempts to force all of his divine inspiration (not much) into kLuTz* Aagh, I'm spent... ~Falcis Umbrae~
  19. I downloaded this one a while ago, and just started my posting account today... As far as this song goes, I was blown away the first time I heard it. The woodwind at the beginning (not too good on identifying those) was an excellent intro. The next part hit my heart as I my strongest backgrounds are British and Irish... I think those were bagpipes... right? Anyway, that was COOL! As the Guitar broke out, I had my speakers turned up loud, as I usually do, and I had one of the most spasmic cases of shivers rack my spine. My GOD! I LOVE this Remix. ~Falcis Umbrae~
  20. This is my first post, and I must say, in response to this song... GAWD! Is it right to want to turn a tropical-paradise-sounding song really loud? This is a definite 10/10, a work of art in my book any day... keep it up, definitely (though I may be a little late in posting on this one... )
