  1. Yeah, I had to defend that that was Joint Rabbit Cover and not SoaD on Kotaku when they posted it. It was kind of funny to watch everyone screw up over and over trying to guess the right thing.
  2. I feel the same way as you. People would most likely prefer the first one only because it is one of their favorite games ever and they like him for old-time's sake. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I was feeling bad because maybe they WERE seeing something else... Nostalgia fogs the mind... Just give TP about eight years and we'll see what happens.
  3. every boss battle should have lasted a lot longer I actually liked that fight, and the song. Boss 4 is one of the fights I would love to do over and over again. But, like I said before, I just wished you could combine items 4 and 5. Dungeon 4 = worst dungeon Dungeon 4 item = worst item You've got to be kidding me. It may not have been the most well-implimented, but you can't deny that it was an original and ingenious item to add. I think it would have been much more useful if it had more uses outside dungeon four, but it certainly wasn't the worst item (I think that goes to the slingshot, since it is completely useless once you get the bow). Never watched that show, so I'm not tempted to downrate the item because of its resemblance to something completely different.

  5. Believe me, I'd like it done just as much as you would. *glares at certain other people* *cowers* Ohwait.
  6. It's ambient, it's suppose to be this way. Ambient really is a love/hate type of music. I know. But my point stands - ambient and background music is a different genre, but this song sounds like it wants to achieve more than that. You could use its genre as an excuse, but I don't think that quite works for this song. I dunno, maybe it's my inexperience talking.
  7. escorting ilia was no fun to me How is that even possible? Unless your wiimote is fucking broken or something, escorting Ilia demonstrated everything you could do on horseback: keep going in a straight line while turning back and shooting off enemies with the bow, then quickly swivel to the front and deliver a spin attack on the four rider bokoblins (are they?) around you, then quickly catch your pace to gale the caravan, switch to your bow and pick off a couple of archers. Non-stop action. Way fun. The escort mission was probably one of my favorite parts of the game. Get this: I was at the very end of the mission when a bird hits me while I'm in front of the carriage. Because of the speed both were moving, Link flew back and landed on the carriage. He got up, and I was standing on the carriage, like no glitching or anything. I whipped out the bow and started swinging around, going, "Okay, who's next?" If only it had happened in the beginning instead of the end of that mission, it would have been badass. Seconded. Didn't a Wind Waker enemy do that, too?
  8. A good intro, now put a real song behind it. You've got the melody there, but right now it's all background noise to me. Inspire me to listen closer, man. There's no... excitement isn't the right word... emotion in this mix, it feels bored.
  9. I look very forward to seeing the results of this contest.
  10. Posted it in the other topic, but 0627 3378 6858 6673.
  11. Yeah, they had three versions of Ocarina of Time, most of the fun glitches were only available in the first (gold cart) version.
  12. I'm ready to say it's better than Ocarina of Time, though it has a few of its own flaws.
  13. Hey, if Summoning of Spirits, Milkyway Wishes, and the LA project hurry up and get done, we should be fine.
  14. WHERE THE HELL IS THAT KID'S MOM. TELL ME AND I WON'T KILL YOU. NEAR THE CREEK, WONDERING ABOUT A CRADLE THAT FLOATED DOWN THE RIVER.
  15. Amen to Okami being too easy. But I almost always die several times my first way through a Zelda game, and I don't see this being any different. Though I do sort of wish they'd upped the difficulty a bit... At least it will be harder in comparison to Wind Waker (in actual challenge, not time investment, though now that I mention it, that too).
  16. I definitely agree that they should have put more effort into the music. And the wolf Link stuff starts almost immediately... I believe I asked where the reviewer said it was too easy?
  17. How easily can you do a spin-attack maneuver in Wind Waker? I dunno about you, but I could almost never do one without queuing. It was even harder in the Gamecube version of OoT. Aiming for enemies in Wind Waker was also a pain sometimes.. and trying to shoot on horseback in OoT/MM was also very difficult, especially when hunting for Poes. No offense, but saying that "according to some people the wiimote isn't that great sometimes" is kinda silly. And people's expectations of a motion sensing controller might vary.. just a little bit. I would try it before I swore off the Wii version, at any rate. I think it's the whole point that the spin maneuver isn't as easy to pull off. Otherwise it'd be cheap. That's why the designs of the older games were much tighter in that sense. It all corresponded to the movements of the sticks and buttons well. I don't think this is surprising though. Even with the Twilight Princess, I could definitely see Nintendo yet to fully master the new controller. Another criticism I saw coming a mile away was how apparently the game is pretty easy compared to the likes of Majora's Mask or OoT. It seems that all the new Zeldas have a much easier learning curve. I wish the games were as challenging as LttP once was. That's a good point. It's possible that they wanted to make certain moves easier to let people get used to the controls. I have heard battles are difficult, not necessarily because of the wiimote, but more because the enemies are just hard - unlike in the other 3D games(at least Wind Waker, my memory of the other two is dimmer). LttP was challenging? I mean, I was really young at the time I first played it, but it was no more challenging than any other game I played. Although, pretty much the only thing I clearly remember from it was discovering Chris Houlihan's room... LttP was really tedious, but not quite as challenging as Link's Awakening. HOLY SHIT to Link's Awakening I might say. I still haven't beaten Eagle's tower, prolly cuz I haven't played the game sincee I was young, but that game seemed to me to be the epitome of brain killer. Amen. Eagle's Tower had some KILLER puzzles. They should bring those back, but I'm sure Nintendo probably regretted making it that hard.
  18. linkplz, I want to know who called it too easy. I've yet to hear that criticism from anyone yet.
  19. I'm camping, so I'll be playing it Sunday probably all day.
  20. flame flame flame troll troll troll ps3 sux lol ... Is it working? Are my flames catching light?
  21. It's called, "time changed the stories bit by bit."
  22. Ah Aghanim. I would absolutely LOVE to see that character again Although I'd settle for having a classic Wizzrobe as a boss again (like in LA) Wizrobe was a recurring miniboss in Majora's Mask, with a beefed-up strategy to beat him. I, too, would like to see Aghanim again.
  23. What is odd about that? Everyone keeps saying that the song is in OoT, but I don't remember it there. Also, Majora's Mask took place in an alternate dimension. The events that took place in it have never been shown to have had any effect on the main continuity of the Zelda timeline. (I must note that some believe the "Hero of Time" mentioned in the intro to Wind Waker never appeared because he was in Termina, but that is only a theory at the moment.) If the Song of Healing is in this game, then it seems likely that Twilight Princess has some kind of connection to Majora's Mask. This is something new to us. Wasnt it the Happy Mask guy who taught Link the song? Hes from OoT demension which is where he learned the song I assume Everyone in MM had a parallel in OoT. That was the theme of the whole game in terms of character design - think of Princess Ruto and Lulu, King Zora and the head of the Indigogo's, the Gerudo and the Gerudo Pirates, the Head Carpenter in both games.
