  1. So long as we're pointing out similarities, it's been noticed before that the version of Zero Suit Samus from Zero Mission (different hairstyle) looks remarkably like Winry from Full Metal Alchemist. Just noting.
  2. Midna's Theme <3 I'm pretty sure the Hyrule Castle song was almost the exact same as Wind Waker's.
  3. Yeah, you know that will come later on, for the Wii-centric one. After they finish their obligatory lineup of Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, and Smash, they should start working on the second lineup - Kirby, Star Fox, Mario Kart, Custom Robo, et cetera.
  4. Or, you know, having a product of such high quality that they can afford to replace minor instances like that.
  5. Check the GameFAQ's Wii Hardware section, there's probably an FAQ that will know. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/game/930752.html
  6. Congrats, pixie! (Why so little judgehate? Normally it takes about four or five posts before it starts...)
  7. I have to admit, the first thing I thought of when I saw "Bug-Catching Net" was using it a la Mario's Cape - reflect any projectile, just like it could reflect Aghanim's energy spheres in LttP. Bullet Bills are effectively thrown versions of Samus' missiles minus slowdown? I like this idea. Mentioning Green Shells and Bombombs gave me the idea of having an item that acted like a Green Shell - slide along the ground and bounce off walls - that blows up only when it makes contact with an opponent or another bomb item (better yet, it doesn't get blown up, it just gets thrown in the air... and when it lands, it keeps going!). Question Mark Mushrooms + Team Attack On = Hilarity. Watermelon... eh. I'd be okay if they added it as one of Yoshi's moves, though. Really short range, hopefully. Kuribo's Shoe = WIN.
  8. Heh, false karass - granfaloons, if I remember correctly.
  9. You, sir, are my new best friend. I didn't like Slaughterhouse 5 either, but I really enjoyed Cat's Cradle. No one can deny that his books certainly had a point to get across.
  10. I vote... huh. Energy Tank for 100% recovery, Heart Container for full recovery, Maxim Tomato for 50% recovery (Kirby usually had six hits), get rid of food entirely, Skip Sandwich Deluxe for full health revocery and bunny hood effect (awesome idea thar, Chrono26). Actual Poison Mushrooms that do actual damage in large amounts (20%+), unlike the Poison Mushrooms that make you smaller. Spider Ball lets you run on walls temporarily - use it to hide under the stage for a while, but if you stay too long, you get stuck. The Mirror Shield pickup temporarily deflects energy projectiles (I.E. Samus' Charge Beam, but not her missiles), Bomblings replace or are added without replacing bombombs, and have the ability to walk up walls (meaning no hiding behind low barriers bombombs can't cross), Kirby's Jet ability returns to augment jump power (but not speed), the "Sleepy" enemies from Kirby Superstar that, upon being touched, will make your character fall asleep temporarily, P-Wing lets you jump infinitely (again, temporary). Please, someone continue.
  11. My three favorite genres rolled into one? Sounds awesome. I'm gonna have to get it when I go home for summer.
  12. Personally, I really want to see what Retro Studios will do once they finish the Prime trilogy. They certainly have talent, and I'd like to see what IP's they can come up with on their own.
  13. Ditto. Inherent falsehood detected. Off-rails != bad. Assault was too short, but certainly not bad (and the multiplayer was actually pretty good). Now, Adventures on the other hand...
  14. But I agree, this thread is getting kind of old and it's getting very repetitive.
  15. Same reason they skipped STL when I lived there.
  16. It's actually really hard to tell if you're serious or not.
  17. Saw this coming from miles away.
  18. Anyone who says Sonic has no place in Smash Brothers gets my rock-Solid Snake to the face.
  19. I'd certainly hope for Golden Sun characters... any of them except Ivan and Shiva and Mia would be good additions, methinks. Personally Isaac, Garet, or Felix would be the best additions IMO... also preferably with an AXE INSTEAD OF A SWORD. We have enough swordsmen. Also, Djinn-oriented moves and summons could be really cool.
  20. Delicious favorites thread, in before... wait, why aren't we allowed to say that again? Obligatory mention of Triforce Majeure (though I'd probably be Snowbound).
  21. That was why I mentioned Light Arrows, remember? They're obviously going to have to add a repetoire of attacks to her, like they did with the first one. I was just pointing out that he said "all her weapons", when she only has... two, one of which she just drops to the ground. I sense a new attack for her. Sword drop as her aerial smash down.
  22. What do you mean, "all her weapons"? You mean that sword she drops at the beginning and the Light Arrows she fires near the end? Because that's the only useful fighting things she does (don't even say she can heal herself, no character can heal themselves).
  23. Oh, dude. The character you played is on top of a tower of names, completely destructible, one-hit-kills type deal. You can just jump off the side and fall to the bottom or beat your way through with aerial down-A and down Smashes and down Specials, earning points on the way. Points give the people who feel like it a reason to work through it, but not a detriment to those who don't want to, just like pressing start to speed through the end credits in the last two.
  24. Except, you know, Star Fox Assault, which had three on-rails levels.
